Made reservation for appointment. Showed up on time with myself and the other person in my reservation only for them to have the other person wait in lukewarm water for 20 minutes with no communication on when the now late appointment would begin. I chose to leave due to the poor service provided when they began to service newly arrived customers rather than the other person in my reservation who had been waiting. Was told when I tried to leave that men cannot give pedicure to other men which is why we were asked to wait now that we chose to leave. Let me start by saying the woman at the front desk deserves a gold star. She was kind, understanding, and made it right with a discount when I showed her the "finished" product. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Lilly's work. I came in for a proper pedicure, not a light rinse and a prayer. No cuticle work, no cleaning under the nails--just a quick coat of polish over unbothered feet. It was less "spa experience" and more "fast food for toes." What hurts more than the missed cuticles? Spending $180 on my wife's manicure and pedicure and my own, only to walk out wondering if I'd accidentally signed up for the express package that skips all the essentials. I hate hate hate leaving bad reviews so rarely do I but this one was earned. 2, $60 pedicures us $120 plus whatever tip I want to leave. I was asked if I wanted no chip polish (gel polish) and the lady doing my daughters pedicure also added oh it's very cheap only a couple dollars more. I seriously should have known better. Pedicure was decent but somewhat rushed. We both were handed a hand written receipt that said $80 on each. I look at my daughter and was like wtf is the extra $40 for. I asked when we went to pay and they said for gel polish. SERIOUSLY??? Average charge for gel is $5-$7 NOT $20. So we walked out paying $164 for 2 pedicures. $4 for using card to pay. No tip given. Update 8/27 I decided to get my acrylics taken off here, that was previously done by another place. They take off the acrylics with another acrylic nail from their nail box AND IT HURT. It's suppose to be SOAKED OFF. My nail beds hurt. They can't do anything right. LASTLY PLEASE LOOK UP MMA MANICURES! They use this illegal substance for gel manicures. They ruin your nails! I HATE leaving bad reviews, but this time I just can't ignore what happened. I've been coming here for a few months for acrylics and fill ins. I always have loved the designs and thought I was going to a reputable salon, but now I know differently. My visit last week required a take off first. In which Isaac took nail clippers and some sort of file tool to pull the nails off instead of soaking them. I expressed it hurt and he continued. Part of my nail was torn off (not just the tip, but a middle section of my nail). It was just painted over. But he said he put the new nail tip lower so "it would be fine". I wanted to trust him because I am new to this process, but something felt off about that. I tried to file an incident report but they had no actual process for that. Had the manager call me the next day and say if it hurt too much or lifted they would remove and replace the nail. I ended up having the nails removed elsewhere and the acrylic was so tacky, slimy, and sticky. I was told by another nail tech that they believe it's the dangerous MMA acrylic that is dangerous and banned by the FDA. Thankfully my nail seems to have avoided infection, but it is severely damaged and only time will tell if it will ever grow back properly. Please be careful getting acrylics here read more

Had a great experience at this new nail salon next to Target! You can walk in and check in on their iPad at the desk to check your temperature. The technicians are all wearing masks and there's plexiglass at each station. They're currently offering 20% off for their grand opening. As for gloves, the technicians seem to only wear them if you're getting a pedicure, but you can definitely ask them to wear it for your manicure if you want too. Came on a Friday morning with for a party of 3 with no wait. The interior is nicely done and they play calming spa music. If you want to be robbed and love jank nails, this is the place to go. Me and my best friend have recently been looking forward to having a relaxing spa day and getting our toes and acrylic nails done. We've been hoping to find a salon that has satisfactory work and service. Gurnee nails missed the mark on a tremendous level. Me and my friend both started off with pedicures, and were asked if we wanted no chip polish, we said yes (this will be brought up later). Our pedicures were finished and super cute. We both got full sets of acrylics. When my friend got hers she had asked the nail tech for a coffin shape, they came out square and she had asked for a reshape after they put polish on. Another nail tech argued with her telling her that it is her fault. This is unacceptable for a company to do, you shouldnt yell or be rude and accusatory toward a client. My nails turned out very well however. After this ordeal we went to the front to pay. For a set of regular acrylics and a no chip pedicure it was $130 (not including tip). That is unheard of. (The pedicure I chose was $35). I told the cashier that my pedicure was only supposed to be $35 and he argued and said that no chip costs $20 extra and a French tip costs $10 extra as well. $20 FOR NO CHIP POLISH?! This place needs to tell you or list out the upcharges in the menu. My friends total was $110 and she hates her nails because the shape was messed up. If you want your nails to look trashy and jank, this is the place to go, but you may need to bring your life savings with. read more

While booking the service it allows you to pick the technician before placing the singular item in the cart.... and then continue to add on another service... whilst also allowing you to pick another technician for the next service. This is how THEIR website allows you to book. However, it is their unspoken and UNWRITTEN preference to have one technician perform both services. Today I booked one service, AS THEIR WEBSITE ALLOWED, with one technician for the pedicure. I booked the second service, AS THEIR WEBSITE ALLOWED, with a second technician. Each service was indicated to have taken 1 HOUR!!!!!!! The first technician Den (WHO IS AMAZING), performed the pedicure service and was finished by 6:57pm for a 6pm appointment. This means that the second technician, WHO WAS BOOKED FOR 7pm, was able to promptly start the SCHEDULED SERVICE. Their argument, BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER WILL NOT BE RIGHT AT THIS SALON REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY YEARS THEY'VE BEEN COMING AND OVERTIPPING, is that they don't care what THEIR WEBSITE ALLOWS. They prefer to inconvenience the customer!!! The second technician REFUSED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE when they had no other appointments SCHEDULED. The second technician TOLD ME THE CUSTOMER TO BE OKAY WITH IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT WANT TO SPLIT THE WORK. I left this salon nails looking trash and EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED. This place does NOT care about common sense. Had i walked in fresh, at 7PM, with the appointment booked, it wouldn't have made a difference. An appointment is an appointment. They're greedy and concerned their won't be enough tip to go around. When a client books a service, DO THE SERVICE!!!! The only person who should be addressing these issues is THE MANAGER, seeing as how the technician 'LONG' does not know how to speak to people and tells people what it's going to be. read more

There are bumps and bubbles all over, they are uneven and rough, looks like I did them myself and not like I paid a professional to do them.
