card giv n to me by manager "Mary"

I went in to buy a new set of head phones beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO Open Studio Headphones.... This store has the losted in stock "New".. xcome to find out someone return the only instock they had ... yes they are selling used as "New" because they were returned within 45 days... To make matters worse thwy narked up the price on thesefrom $159 up to $179... they offered to sell me their used head set for $159 to price match otger stores that sell the new at $159.. i offered to the $$143 for thwir ised paid which is more then fair... Mary told me no she can only sell this used pair at the new price... "Her words" i told them id leave a bad review for this and hopefully Mary gains some experience in customer service after this.. all good im going to order a Brand New Pair from Amazon.... I also drove all the way down from Payson AZ for this....

Lloyd. The guitar that followed me home. Good work, Randy.

I'm pretty to the point so I gotta say every Guitar Center has its "jokers" that are lower on the food chain that will appear to do everything in their power to drive you out of the store in frustration, or at a minimum not what or be able to buy anything. Don't let them. Guitar Center is still a great resource in terms of breadth and variety of selection and a really generous return policy. I don't feel bad returning stuff because the stores are often too loud and the environment can be way too chaotic to really try an instrument out. Anyway, after jumping through the hoops of dealing with the truly obnoxious and I daresay nasty employees I got on the radar of the store manager, Randy, whom I truly enjoyed working with. He's affable, down to earth, a straight shooter and pretty accommodating when he recognizes a serious customer. I also enjoyed working with Scott. He actually listened to me, cares about details like pick material, and didn't grouse too much when I asked him to remove a giant price tag that made it impossible to try out a guitar I was interested in. You might be in for a big headache if you attempt to deal with anyone else at that location, but those two gentlemen can "walk, talk and chew gum at the same time," as my father used to say. One or both of them should be there any day other than Sunday. That's your pro tip. Don't take it lightly. If I had that heads up I'd probably get back 5-10 hours of my life.

I love guitar centers acoustic room. There are dozens of new and used Taylor's and Martins ranging from 700s to 5000k. The more expensive guitars are locked up but it's really fun to mess around with the guitars that are available. I jammed with a few strangers to All Along the Watch Tower which was fun. I wish there are a few more used Taylor's for sale as there was only one in price range. Will come back soon and see if the selection changed

Really helpful staff. They have a lot of things related to music. It's a big store with lots of choices. I highly recommend coming here.

Unlike the Phoenix store, this Guitar Center (near Talking Stick) is rarely crowded in terms of people and noise pollution.

I left the guitar with Guitar Gallery and the tech took my guitar off site to his own shop to troubleshoot and try to resolve the issue. After a couple weeks I called and was told he was still working on it but should have it finished soon. Finally I called and was told he was bringing it back over to the store and I could pick it up just before they closed. I picked it up and paid $65 for his time and efforts. He said the static was still present but was perhaps slightly less, and that the static could be coming from the plastic cover plates on the back of the guitar and he said he would make me new replacement covers of a different t material to see if that would alleviate the static. He said he would have them done in about a week. I brought the guitar home and discovered the vibrato trem arm was missing. I called the tech's cell the next day and he never answered or returned messages. I called the shop and they said they didn't know anything about the missing trem arm. After many many attempts I eventually gave up and just ordered a new trem arm from an online shop. I never heard from anyone again about the replacement back plate covers or my missing trem arm. I do not recommend taking a guitar to this shop for any repair. I'm out $65 for attempted repairs, and another $25 to replace the misplaced trem arm myself. Signed...Pissed in Peoria

While I was in town visiting my son, he mentioned that there was a music store not far from us that he'd like to visit. I wasn't prepared for the size of this place-it's far more than just a "music store." He had a gleeful look of awe as he admired the selection of brass instruments and was able to play a few of them too. He'll be ready to make a purchase soon, so he wants to know for sure which one is just right. If you don't quite know what you're looking for, or need some elevated service, you might find someone, you might not. It's a more laid-back approach to customer service-we had to seek someone out for help. But I suppose I prefer that over an in-your-face sales person trying to close a deal.

An adult male guitar instructor at the Gilbert location read an article called "Are Guitarists Good in Bed?" to my 13 year old daughter who was taking private guitar lessons for the past 4 months. The instructor admitted to reading the article and was temporarily suspended but did keep his job, and has been offered professional development as a consequence. The manager of the Gilbert location and the owner (who also owns the site in Scottsdale) said they believed the instructor who said he was sorry and that he read this article as a joke, but had no bad intent. Management's solutions were to implement professional development for all staff (great for staff and future kids) and keep this instructor as a vital member to their business (great for his career). I am told he teaches 20+ kids up to 4 days a week and "deserves a second chance". We were told we could pick a new instructor, pick a different day, call to make sure he wasn't staffing whatever she wants to participate in, and if she really wanted to attend something he was staffing that they'd move him if they could, or attend the Scottsdale site. All of these solutions put the burden on the victim when the consequences should be placed on the adult who made the decision. When I offered these as solutions for the instructor to bear it was repeatedly rejected. When I inquired about the steps that were taken during his suspension and how they cleared him to return to work, I was accused of "going on a witch hunt" by the owner instead of being informed on their process and efforts to restore my broken trust and that of my daughter. I believe this instructor should have been fired on the spot for his behavior, and at the very least if he were to remain employed, that he would bear the brunt of the changes needed to care for the intent as perceived by the child who was brave enough to speak up before things got dangerous despite knowing it meant she could lose the opportunity to join the performance group with her piers. Which it has because our final two lessons were refunded.
