Amazing!!! This was our first time here but it was the best indoor play place (not counting…read moremuseums) that I've been to in NC! I've definitely been to a few that I thought were overpriced for what you get. I highly recommend this place. It's super affordable ($10 per child to start and cheaper when you are paying for more than one kid, better value overall to get a monthly membership which I believe starts at $34 a month). It pays for itself if you just come here 3x a month or more. They've also got little snacks for sale up at the front desk and you can purchase socks for $1 (they've got music notes on them haha). We arrived early around 9:20am when the inflatable bounce houses were still getting filled but the doors were open and the person at the front desk said it was unexpectedly busy this morning! The place gets pretty busy but emptied out around 11:30 when I assume most people left to go get lunch/put kids down for nap time. Tons of cute little snack tables and chairs for the smaller kiddos and bigger ones for waiting parents/grandparents/caretakers etc. Lots of sanitizer on every counter. They also had Kleenex boxes out (they know their audience) and Clorox wipes at the front desk. There's 2 big bounce houses (a blue one and a red one). The red one is more for jumping and running around in circles and the blue one has a rainbow "floor" interior that is super fun to run across. There are also 2 karaoke rooms with an expansive music selection, colorful overhead lights, and microphones which you ask for from the front desk. They've got the giant piano on the floor like the one from the movie 'Big'. They've got music classes which I believe take place in the back near the restrooms. Love the giant guitar slide and it makes guitar sounds when you slide down. I went down the slide as well and it goes super quick!! I was definitely more scared going down than climbing up haha. Oh and they provide a shelf of croc sandals to wear if you need to rescue your frightened child (I made use of them). I could really go on forever about how amazing this place is. Absolutely exceeded expectations. Incredible experience and place and definitely will be returning!!

The play area is open and spaced out with a nice variety of musical things to play with. Before coming, I really was curious if there'd be enough to keep the little one interested. Big or little, the kids will be interested! By musical things, think less handheld instruments and more installments for lack of a better word, such as the interactive world map where touching the musical note plays music of that geographic location. The percussion pots and pans and bells room was a big hit. My toddler wasn't ready for the big guitar slide, with climbing handholds and bars, but was able to enjoy everything else, including the small slide. I found it easy to carry my infant around and plop him on the floor from time to time with little worry. Some bigger kids run around but there are many side areas that are safer for the wee babes. There's music playing in the background and of course sounds coming from the many installments, and children shrieking. But overall, I didn't find the sound to be too loud or nauseating like it can be in some restaurants and such. There's plenty of space to enjoy snacks outside of the play area and clean bathrooms. The staff I checked in with were quite friendly. Oh and I really thought the price per child to be reasonable compared to most other indoor museums and play places. We will definitely be back!

This appears to be more of a lesson studio and setup/repair shop than an instrument dealer…read more Lessons seem to be performed right in the main shop as one young lady was struggling to make chord changes while the instructor was giving her positive encouragement. The gentleman giving the lesson appeared to be both patient and kind, a necessity with beginner students. He told us to let him know if we needed anything, we acknowledged/thanked him and quickly browsed the shop to see what might be of interest. While there's a Gibson Acoustic, an aging Ovation 12 string Acoustic and a somewhat damaged Carvin bass on display, most of the guitars seem to be of "Beginner" quality. For instance, maybe I didn't look in the right place, but I did not see any Fender guitars that weren't squire's, nor did I see any Gibson electrics. I did see an Epiphone, a Hondo, a couple Jasmine's and so on. There are also several other stringed instruments, violins, upright basses and the like. Some were repaired and on display, and others were in various stages of repair. All in all, the shop seems to be geared toward the beginning and budding musicians looking for entry level instruments and someone to teach them how to play. Absolutely nothing wrong with that model. I do hope to stop in again the next time I'm in Pittsboro.

He has done amazing work for me on several electrics, a world class nylon string that I really goofed up which he brought back to life, and even my banjo. I haven't been in every "guitar shop" in Raleigh. I would…read morevisit other shops but I don't have a reason for it. I met Harry Tueting the year he opened Harry's Guitars on Glenwood Avenue near downtown Raleigh. I bought strings and played new guitars I could not buy- no steady job. Still I had a clunker to bang on. I took lessons from Steve Howell in the early years. I met Terry Dineen when he began some years later. He was just a kid but he knew a lot more about guitars than I did. I'd played since I was 12, on cheap guitars, but I played. Thanks to the things I learned through visiting this business, I've developed into a modestly decent player. I've met musicians of every skill level in a place where I feel welcome. I've listened to people crank the amps and play for HOURS. No one ever objected. I know and understand the value of a good guitar. I've bought -and returned- guitars from Harry's. Nobody complained. I read the bad reviews given herein and I am STUNNED. Perhaps the reviewers are (1) upset because they did something out of ignorance and can't get over it or (2) have an ax to grind because they weren't regarded as royalty or (3) are simply mean spirited. I cannot in any way associate anyone I know, or have known, at Harry's Guitars with the ugliness I read in those "reviews". Not under Harry's watch. Not under Scott and Mike's watch. Not in the real world.

Below is a timeline of my experience with Twin House. To start on a positive note: the employees…read moreare very kind. The rest of my experience has been poor. December 6, 2023: I bring my bass in for a setup. I'm told it should be done in three weeks (before Christmas).  Some time after Christmas: I called to ask for an update. I'm told that, due to a backlog, it should be ready within the first week of January.  Some time after the first week of January, 2024: I call for an update (since Twin House does not provide updates; you have to ask for them). Twin House has had a chance to look at my bass now. The wiring is all funky; the pick-up doesn't seem to work. They need to get in touch with Ernie Ball to get their hands on schematics.  About two weeks later: I come into the store again. I don't need a cord, but I buy one to cover for the real reason I'm there: to get an update. I'm shown the schematics (the schematics arrived and this is another update I never received). We use an iPad to look up the parts that are needed. We find them. We discuss prices of parts plus labor. I'm given an estimate. We agree to move forward. I'm told the parts will be ordered the next day and should arrive in 7-10 days (but who knows when the order was actually put in). I'm also told that once the parts arrive, it should be a one-day turnaround to get them installed.   Maybe two weeks later: I ask about the parts. I'm told that whoever is shipping them had some kind of personal thing come up, so there was a delay in shipping the parts. February 7, 2024: I email Twin House about how I've had to leave town due to a death in the family and will not be back until February 15th, unable to pick up the bass until February 16th. I receive a kind reply, telling me there's no rush for me to pick it up.  February 8, 2024: I ask for a reminder of what parts were ordered. This was really me softballing in a question in hopes that I'll be provided an update.  February 11, 2024: Still no response. I remind Twin House that supposedly parts were ordered three weeks ago and I have to imagine they've arrived by now. I end the email telling them I'll be checking for updates. February 15, 2024: Due to the costs incurred from traveling to LA for the death in the family, I cannot afford this repair anymore. I communicate this via email. This finally prompts a response.  February 16, 2024: Twin House responds with a legitimate reason for why they've been incommunicado. They propose that I just pay for the parts since they're specialty items the store doesn't typically carry.  February 16, 2024: I respond a few hours later that, yes, I will find a way to cover the cost of the parts. We should move forward. February 16, 2024: Around 5:30 PM, I drive to Twin House. The technician is there. He says he hasn't started on it because he heard that maybe I couldn't pay for it. I reaffirm that I can pay for it and actually offer to pay before leaving. He says that isn't necessary. He tells me he'll get to work on it first thing Saturday morning.  February 17, 2024: Saturday. I call at 3 PM to see how it's going and am told it's going on the bench now. Not sure what happened to "first thing in the morning," which is 11 AM, but whatever. February 18, 2024: I call Twin House and ask to speak to the repair shop. I'm informed they don't come in on Sundays. I ask if he knows if my bass was completed the day before. He tells me it was not. I tell him I'm coming to take it back. I understand that I'm not the only customer Twin House is dealing with. I understand that getting the schematics was an ordeal. I understand that after the parts were finally ordered, it took longer than expected to receive them. Sometimes things are just out of our hands.  What I don't understand is why I was kept in the dark during the entire process, or why I was never given a realistic timeline for when my bass would be ready, or when the parts arrived, or any of that. The only ways I've ever been able to find out what was going on were when I called or physically entered the building and tried as politely and patiently as possible to ask for updates.  Everyone I've dealt with at Twin House has been super nice. I love the employees. What has absolutely driven me up a wall is the customer service. I've never felt there was any sense of urgency in completing a project. At this point, it kind of feels like I'm being pranked, or that this is some kind of sick social experiment to see how long they can make a customer wait without ever delivering anything, so I had to pull the plug and take my bass back nearly two and a half months after dropping it off. Twin House has amazing reviews and I was excited to do business with them. I was beyond excited to have found a place with passionate employees who seemed to genuinely care. Unfortunately, their lack of communication and urgency prevented me from doing that.
