I had heard good things about them and after reading their stellar Yelp reviews decided to head on in to get my son his first pair of shoes. All the employees were very friendly and quick to help. My son's feet were measured and they let us know which shoes came in his size. I was pretty surprised at how expensive baby shoes were since they are so small. But, the name brands don't care how small the shoes are and still charge you a wholllle bunch. They did have a pretty decent sized sale rack if you are looking to not pay full price. The employee grabbed the shoes and put them on my son to make sure they fit as they should. You definitely get an increased level of service here. My husband forced me to not give less than 3 stars when I wanted to give less. I just want to give helpful information that won't cause your child unnecessary heartbreak. They can't order all their shoes. Don't let your child pick out shoes or fall in love with anything until you CONFIRM they have it in their size. I was worried about this but reassured by staff it was ok they had inventory. Don't believe it- lay out choices on the floor instead of picking off the wall. Not much empathy for my toddler in tears. That's what made me leave- it felt like no one cared. If you're going to specialize in kids footwear please specialize in working with children & preventative measures to make it a happy experience. read more

I love shopping at Mobley's for my kids shoes. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a great assortment of shoes to select from. We previously were purchasing their shoes from Target, etc, but they weren't holding up to the wear and tear. For the same amount of money, we could get a pair from Mobley's that would actually survive through to them needing the next size. It can get busy, so I'd recommend going a little earlier or later in the day. They also have a selection of women's shoes, and mostly in comfort brands such as Dansko, etc. read more

This place is a contradiction. On the one hand, they fit my daughter with some nice sneaks and the experience was fine, albeit a bit pricey. On the other hand, I ordered some crocs for her early in the spring season, and they called way into the summer to let me know they had arrived. By then, I had bought her a pair elsewhere, thinking that they weren't ever getting them in. At another time, I myself ordered a pair of shoes (they have adult shoes as well) b/c they didn't have my size. I'm still waiting for the call that the shoes have come in. Fall has come and gone. Winter is almost over. And still, I wait. I am surprised I never received at least a courtesy call informing me that they were unavailable. Hmm. The salespeople seem competent and the place seems like a nice, well-run joint. But I gotta wonder, where are my shoes? read more

I love Mobley's for buying classic kids shoes that fit and last. They're not necessarily the lowest price place, but that's not why we go there. I can always find sandals, mary janes and running shoes for my children that will fit well and hold up well, so I don't mind paying for the quality -- and I love that they have classic brands that aren't covered in animated characters. As the other reviewer has said, they are pricey but IMHO I think its worth it to get shoes that withstand my 2 year old daughter's constant movement and harsh treatment. After 4 months, she has outgrown her summer shoes but they still look nearly new; that's a quality product. Moreover, this is a long established local business. Mobley's is wonderful. I took my daughter in for her first pair of shoes last winter. They were busy but still greeted me and helped me quickly. Later the soles of the shoes fell apart and they exchanged them, no questions asked. They were so kind and they earned a customer for life. (I learned how rare this service is after a slightly rude experience with Shutterbugs in Cameron Village.) If they do not have your size they will order it. I checked out Mobley's shoes last November for Small Business Saturday. I was warmly greeted as I walked in by one of the owners, Clifton. I explained to them that I sought out their store because they carried shoes that are good for those with feet problems. I was thrilled to see they had Dansko's and other arch conscious brands. I come here for my toddler son's shoes and the service is always great. They take the time to make sure that the shoes fit properly and are not too small so that he will get the most use out of them. Price wise, it is a couple dollars more than what you may find online but it is totally worth it. We've gotten several shoes at other places and they never last as long (quality and size). I went to Mobley's Shoes for Tax Free Weekend this year and though it took a long time, I enjoyed my experience. I was a little skeptical because of the young staff that was there, however the young lady who helped me was very knowledgeable, joyful, and experienced as she helped my son with his orthotics. My son recognized her from his school and was a very good listener for her. I grew up going to Stride Rite, but I would much rather deal with that same experienced young lady than the TRAGEDIES of Stride Rite. read more

I went to Mobley's because i figured i didnt want to have another trip at the mall, so i took my daughter to Mobley's the family owned business i have heard about. It was kind of a dissapointment. I expected knowledge that i couldnt recieve anywhere else. I was being helped by a nice younger sales-girl, when out of no where a sales-man jumps in and steals my child from the girl. I didnt realize what was happening, i thought she was doing fine. Apparently there was more to be done, as he again measured and told me the same things the girl did (thus wasteing my time). Im not entirley sure if they work on commision, but i felt bad for the young girl who apparently didnt have my sale anymore. As she sat back watching the man reapeat everything she had already disscussed with me. This was just a confusing uncomfortable situation i had to be put in. Buying properly fitting shoes is really important in my opinion...especially when it comes to little feet. I bring my daughter to Mr. Sammy and his sons so she can get fitted for shoes that will keep her feet healthy and comfortable. I wouldn't say they are expensive, instead that they carry amazing products that cost a little more. You can buy 3 pair at Target that don't fit well and wear out....or you could go to Mobley's and get 1 or 2 pair that fit really well and last a while. What a great store and staff! The owner and his sons are very knowledgable about proper fit and stand by their products.
