If you have chronic pain from injuries, this review is for you. Transformative. I had come to Fleet Feet with my friend, who needed running shoes and also wanted support. I came and tried the analysis out of curiosity, and wanted to see for myself what the process was-- I was not very hopeful because I was worried that maybe that it was a gimmick used to sell shoes, and was convinced that with my niche needs (long history of injuries to multiple joints, instability of said joints, and the chronic pain associated with old injuries) that there would simply not be a shoe to be found for me. I was wrong. I was pleasantly shocked and surprised by just how in-depth the analysis and consultation was. I was even more amazed by the care, patience, and consideration taken into the recommended selection of shoes to try, with explanations WHY the recommendations were made. Even more happy that there were shoes my size to even try on (10-11s women'), and there were insoles selected to further customize things to my specific needs. I'll be honest, I wasn't even looking to buy shoes for myself today, but to just be a support to my friend. But the wonderful experience with Jeff talked the talk, and the shoes he selected walked the WALK. I never once felt rushed despite the busy store, I was able to really feel out and talk about what I liked and didn't like, which was received by Jeff with understanding and discernment. What truly convinced me was the IMMEDIATE and noticeable relief I felt in my ankles and knees, and what was initially pessimistic hopelessness for my case turned into something I never thought I'd feel-- hope and excitement. I'm excited to see how these shoes might even benefit my bad SI joint with time, which is constantly inflamed and in pain from the stress of working and walking every day. This is the first time I've ever invested in a more costly pair of shoes, but it's the first pair of shoes I've ever bought KNOWING that I'd at least get SOME relief from my chronic pain, and even would aid in preventing further injuries in the future with the stability they provide. Thank YOU so much for your horrible customer service today. I walked in today to do a return/slash exchange and first I want even greeted with a hello or can I help you. Your immediate body posture and language was very unwelcoming and you told me that I had to come to the store I originally purchased my shoes to do the exchange because didn't want that inventory and had no way of confirming my purchase which was a total lie. I just purchased my shoes on Sunday and wanted a exchange with proof of purchase from my fleet account you didn't want to see, according to the store in Durham, you also could of called to confirm my purchase but you never offered that as a option. I will never EVER visit your location in Raleigh. I paid over $180 for sneakers and for that price YOUR customer service should have been on the higher end. (This review is for the Fleet Feet RALEIGH) I have been a loyal customer of Fleet Feet for over 10 years and have recommended the store to many friends. I also brought my kids there for years when they were running XC, so our family has purchased many many pairs of shoes from Fleet Feet. I purchase running shoes there every 4-5 months and, until now, have never once returned a pair of shoes or complained. My most recent purchase was $180 pair of Saucony running shoes. After only about three weeks of use, the sides of the shoes began to wear down significantly. Given my long history with the store, I brought them back expecting at least a conversation about the issue and perhaps some assistance. Instead, the experience was extremely disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested and abrupt, and the interaction made me feel as though I was trying to pull a fast one being dishonest about the issue. After more than a decade of loyal business that was incredibly insulting. Rather than taking the time to understand the problem they insisted it was my issue and possibly the use of gym equipment! The solution they offered was simply another pair of shoes priced lower than the ones I had purchased, and the overall tone felt like they just wanted to move me out the door as quickly as possible. It's unfortunate, because Fleet Feet has always been a store I trusted and recommended. I hope management takes customer loyalty more seriously in the future. read more

Was in and out within 30 minutes on the Saturday after Black Friday. You must wear a mask, and they limit the number of people so you may have to wait outside for a bit. They did a scan of my feet, and then watched my gait to check for pronation. We had a candid conversation of the type of shoe I needed, the type of activities I'd participate in, and then when deciding between the final two shoes, the pros for each one. They also mentioned there's a 60 day warranty of sorts so if I have trouble with the shoe, I could come back for a return. We visited this new Fleet Feet while shopping for sneakers. Like all the other Fleet Feet in the area, the staff is educated and very willing to help. They carry a variety of brands and the staff does not seem partial to one over another. Their goal was to find the right shoe for the fitness need. They offered a fitness review to properly pair us with our shoe. I would highly recommend coming into a Fleet Feet if you are looking for new fitness shoes. They will work with you to make sure that you leave with a product that fits your needs. And if you use the shoes for the activity and they are not great, you can bring them back in for an exchange or refund (within reason). Buying exercise shoes based on what your friend wears or what you read in a magazine isn't the way to go. Let an expert help you find the right shoe. read more

Stopped in here to buy some arch support inserts for my running shoes and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The gentlemen helping me showed me all of the options available and which would be best taking into account the type of shoe I had and my feet/running style. They also appear to have a very wide selection of running shoes and other running equipment but mostly their options revolve around clothing. As with most fleet feet this one is a little on the pricey side. If you are a little more of a price conscious shopper there may be better deals around town. read more

Fleet Feet on Six Forks is great! I came here after having issues with my shoes that I had been fitted in twice from another running store. It turns out, I can't wear those shoes as they're too narrow for my feet and my arches were collapsing in them. The sales associate helped fit me into new shoes that were perfect - shortly after transferring into them and keeping up my PT from my previous injuries, and I was back to pain-free running shape. So I went through one pair of them (in several months... I run a lot), and came back for another. After under two months, I noticed wear in the front of the shoe. A hole which shouldn't have formed in such a short period of time. Well I took them back, they refitted me and it turned out I needed a slightly larger size. They exchanged the previous shoe out with no issues as it's part of their return policy and guarantee. In addition, every time I go there I can usually expect to get a good deal on a sports bra on sale, great running accessories, or running fuel like Picky Bars (the BEST!) and honey stinger chews. Fleet Feet has become my go-to running store. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and share their advice and insights on helping me have the best experience running as possible. read more

I went to the Raleigh Six Forks location where Kia helped me find the perfect shoe for my fitness needs. I needed a shoe for boxing and cross training. Horrible service. My personal trainer suggested I come here for proper fitting shoes. Since no one came to help me, I signed their waiting board to let them know I needed help but than helping me the associate continued a personal conversation with someone who was being helped by ANOTHER associate! When she finished her conversation, she walked past me to go to a customer who was being helped by yet ANOTHER associate! I have been to this store a few times and usually receive excellent customer service. However, when I visited this location today to exchange my shoes that my partner recently bought for us, I received the worst customer service EVER! A woman dressed in pink with a pink hat approached the register. I explained that we were exchanging my pair and returning my partner's pair. She seemed so confused and asked 10,000 questions before ever asking to see the receipt. The best description for her overall demeanor was "I didn't know BLACK people shopped here." I explained the digital foot measurements we took during our last visit never got emailed to us so she asked if someone else bought our shoes. I advised "no" and didn't see how that would matter because we each put in our individual email addresses so we could receive our measurements. She said she would resend our measurements but never did. She asked 3 different times what was wrong with the shoes. Obviously the fit! When they didn't have the color I wanted in a particular brand, she told me it would be better for me to order online than them. Again I have been here a few times and they have always ordered my shoes with ease anytime I needed them to. She kept blaming her inability to do so because the system moves slow which is BS! She held my partner's card for the longest time to see if it matched the transaction. Her actions were definitely discriminatory. We ended up returning both shoes because of the poor customer service. She could have easily turned the whole transaction into an exchange but she chose not to. We will not be returning! read more
