What a great place! We came for a birthday party but found a great indoor playground my son loved! The party was very nice. We had some playtime, then a fun craft, then time for pizza and cake. The attendants were very engaging and helpful. For the craft they made maracas filled with rice and beans and then everyone got to dance to 'Shake it Off.' The younger kids needed a bit of parent help, but there were a lot of steps even a 3 year old could do alone. The play area has several bounce houses, 2 karaoke studios, a stage, a very large climbing structure with a slide, a 2 story 'house' that has fun musical instruments to bang on, and various other music themed play areas. The kids had a blast running around and playing for an hour and my 3 year old got pretty tired out. On a typical day I'd say 1-2 hours is what can be spent here. There are nice tables and free WiFi which makes it a great place to let your(older) kids run free and get some work done. The walls are low and room is open so you pretty much can always see where they are. Socks are required to play, but if you forget they have a pair available for $1. They also provide music lessons but we have not tried those yet. Maybe in a year or two!

A really cute venue for kids' events - a place with open play, music lessons, a karaoke room and bounce houses. My 3 year old had a blast here recently for a birthday party - my only qualm was that some older kids who finished their music lessons were allowed into the party play space where they wreaked havoc, Including bopping around some of the younger kids ;( Still enjoyed it quite and will plan to come back for another try later! Tip: bring socks! If you forget, can purchase for $1

5 star birthday party experience. They make it so easy on the parents, help even down to decorating the party room and cutting the cake! Great facility and the kids loved it.

Took my 2 year old for open play one afternoon, and I loved it! The price was very reasonable, and everything seemed pretty clean. I loved that almost every interactive station/ toy related so much to music. I felt it was fun and educational at the same time. There were definitely some areas that weren't safe for a toddler independently, so someone this age definitely has to be monitored while they play. They also have sound proof karaoke rooms with sooo many songs to choose from. My tot was able to pick her fave songs from The Greatest Showman and sing her heart out. We will be back for sure!

Warning(They will have fun): Posted no walking zone, so worked all muscle groups trying to keep up. I didn't run but definitely did climb and crawl with my family. We climbed up 10 foot ladder wall to slide down and climbed in and out of bounce houses. As the camera nut I had fun with my 3 year old grandson trying to keep up with him on the play equipment while taking pictures. I didn't do any very well. This place is amazing It inspires young musicians all the while preparing them for el capitan. Did I mention There are bounce houses. This is an awesome playground concept based on energetic playground fun and music. So nice when especially hot outside. Never too loud inside sometimes hear a full speed run over the floor piano by little feet. My experience was like the movie Big with play equipment so something for all ages.

I think this a pretty cool space for little ones.loved that is all music inspired with a very cool slide that looks a bit intimating but once you climb it with your little one they for sure will want to slide more. They have two karaoke booths. I can for sure say we will be back.

Awesome indoor play place. It was good for all ages and plenty of activities to keep kids busy. The open play is a great deal!

I haven't been in every "guitar shop" in Raleigh. I would…read morevisit other shops but I don't have a reason for it. I met Harry Tueting the year he opened Harry's Guitars on Glenwood Avenue near downtown Raleigh. I bought strings and played new guitars I could not buy- no steady job. Still I had a clunker to bang on. I took lessons from Steve Howell in the early years. I met Terry Dineen when he began some years later. He was just a kid but he knew a lot more about guitars than I did. I'd played since I was 12, on cheap guitars, but I played. Thanks to the things I learned through visiting this business, I've developed into a modestly decent player. I've met musicians of every skill level in a place where I feel welcome. I've listened to people crank the amps and play for HOURS. No one ever objected. I know and understand the value of a good guitar. I've bought -and returned- guitars from Harry's. Nobody complained. I read the bad reviews given herein and I am STUNNED. Perhaps the reviewers are (1) upset because they did something out of ignorance and can't get over it or (2) have an ax to grind because they weren't regarded as royalty or (3) are simply mean spirited. I cannot in any way associate anyone I know, or have known, at Harry's Guitars with the ugliness I read in those "reviews". Not under Harry's watch. Not under Scott and Mike's watch. Not in the real world.

There used to be four great music stores here and now we are down to one, and luckily, they are hanging in there. Harry has actually retired but the employees are still there. I always steer my students there since you can get a decent uke for just over $100. Then you can take your time to get a better uke once you are sure you want to get better. If you don't get their complete attention, it usually means they are dealing with a difficult customer, but they will get to you.

You know that feeling when store employees act nice, but it seems like a façade? That's the vibe I…read moregot from here. After seeing an online promotion for a "free" guitar if I paid for lessons, I signed up. After taking the initial trial lesson, I asked to see the guitar because I was ready to pay for the lesson package but I was told to come back the following week to actually pay and receive the guitar. Apparently, the promotion wasn't available yet. I wish they had told me this over the phone when scheduling the initial lesson, but whatever. They were kind enough to put my name on the guitar to hold it, and I came back the next week and paid, as I was asked to do. At the following lesson I arrived early and was waiting for the instructor to arrive. While waiting, I heard an employee complaining to another person about the guitar promotion. He wasn't keeping his voice down, which made it seem as if his conversation was intentionalIy loud enough for customers to hear. My instructor was polite and professional, but his teaching style was not a good fit for me. It happens, but I was disappointed. I'm a musician that has had lessons on a variety of instruments, plus I teach my own instrument, so I'm not new to music instruction, especially as an adult. It just took me a while to warm up, I guess. Maybe I'm not in the typical demographic for who takes lessons at this store, I don't know. I decided not to continue with lessons, and I probably won't come back to this store to buy any music or accessories in the future.
