I filed a complaint with the USA Swimming Safe Sport and with the U.S. Center for SafeSport. However, neither of these organizations can take action against the rough coaches and the school because it is a private institution and falls outside the jurisdiction of any organization that could halt their dangerous practices. They will continue to lie on their website by stating "Safety first" while simultaneously forcing your screaming child underwater. They scared my 4-year-old. She screamed and was actively resisting, but the coach just took her and threw her into the water. I could see she was suffocating for a moment because he just forced her under water while she screamed. So lovely for a first lesson ever. How do I convince her now that swimming is fun? You will often see coaches having arguments with 10 year olds. We have switched gyms because the owner told my 8 year old that she was "a bad gymnast and probably not cut out for this sport". We have switched gyms where the environment is cleaner and safer. My child is a lot happier and tells me how much she likes the new team. Another bonus to the new place is the coaches actually want to be there they are enthusiastic happy playful. The kids have fun while actually learning proper technique. blows my mind why I put up with less!

If you're looking for a studio that allows volunteer parents to discipline students without the other child parents being present this is the studio for you. 3. If you're looking for a studio that allows kids to rip masks off other kids faces with no consequences this is the studio for you. 4. If you want a studio where kids are allowed to come to class after being home from school the same day with fevers this is the studio for you. ( This happened multiple times and the administration did nothing) my child had the kid who came with a fever cough in her face and thought it was funny. This is the studio for you. 5. If you're looking for a studio where you volunteer over 600 hours in one year and are still treated like crap by the owner this is the studio for you. 6. If you are looking for a studio where parent volunteers basically manipulate to get what they want for their kids and are allowed to get away with whatever they want even lying and having other families ask to leave the studio ( after ten loyal years) this is the studio for you. 7. I enrolled her in Triangle Volleyball's Youth Volleyball Program (YVP), a six-week course on passing, setting, ball control and proper mechanics. The coaches are wonderful. Although the course is group instruction, the course gave my 13yo instant feedback and contact with the ball multiple times. Just within the first day, I could see an improvement in her passing skill, and she finally became comfortable with setting. We also combined the YVP course with Play the Game to get her playing in smaller group games. Location and schedule of YVP were very convenient for our busy family and work schedules.

Despite confirming details in advance and paying nearly $700, the event was disorganized from the start. We were given the wrong party room number, causing delays, and when the kids were ready to eat, the room and food were not prepared on time. The biggest issue was the ice cream. I had paid for ice cream for all guests, but only after the party started was I told they were out. I was advised mid party to buy something next door at Food Lion so my husband went to get ice cream--only for the manager to confront me in front of guests saying I couldn't serve it due to policy. After an embarrassing back‑and‑forth, they eventually allowed it, but the damage was done. My son's party was disrupted, and my guests witnessed unnecessary conflict. To make matters worse, billing confusion at the end left me feeling accused of not covering a guest, only for it to later be revealed as a miscommunication that left me feeling awkward because the venue involved the other family by calling them. The entire experience was stressful, embarrassing, and poorly handled. While the party host tried to be helpful, the management's lack of communication and professionalism ruined the celebration. I've been a loyal customer since they opened, but after this ordeal I am cancelling my membership. Customer service matters, and this event showed me Big Air Raleigh does not value it.
