They offered several cages for hitting and two basketball courts. My hubs decided to do the 65mph and 75mph baseball cages and I decided to do the 55mph softball cage. We probably spent a couple hours in here. They have bats and helmets you can use or bring your own. The prices are reasonable. This was by far a cool place and we will definitely be back!! It has the essentials, safety arms, rack, weight. I'm happy they open at 5:30AM, it allows me to have free reign of the area before anyone else is there. I suspect after 10AM, it'll get too crowded for a proper workout. Not a regular member at TRC, I have had this one punch card (10 visits) for nearly three years now so happy to see that it's getting its uses. I have climbed and received belay instructions a couple times in the past. I remember both being a fun experience.

Having recently moved to the Triangle I was looking for ways to get out and meet people. Before…read moremoving to Raleigh I had seen an article in Our State Magazine about the curling club in Durham and thought that would be a perfect way to get out and meet people. I looked up their website and saw that they do a Pizza and Curling event every other Saturday. Said no experience needed. PERFECT. Unfortunately they were all booked for January. I REALLY wanted to go in January because my husband was going out of town at the end of the month for work and the team building activity was... you guessed it, curling. I wanted him to get the chance to try it out before he had to do it with his coworkers. I emailed the contact for the Pizza and Curling and asked if they had any cancellations if we could be put on the wait list. Sue (who coordinates all of the pizza events (I think?)) emailed me back in no time and let me know that she would! A couple of days before the event she let me know that they had had a cancellation the hour before and would I be able to come to that time slot instead. Of course I jumped on it and signed us both up! We headed over in the early afternoon (because we were at an earlier slot, it was curling first pizza second, but if you go to the normal event later, it's pizza first then curling, FYI). It was just us and another couple there. There was also a league going on (I think) and a birthday party. We ended up playing a match against the birthday party after we all learned the basics. Pro tip (I'm not a pro, I stink at it actually) wear yoga pants or athletic pants in general. I did, but my husband did not and I think that hindered him. It also cause him to rip his pants (haha, I still think it's funny), so don't let that happen to you. Even if you don't think you can do it (I fell so many times trying) no one makes you think you suck and everyone is super supportive. It is in fact harder than it looks and I kinda bruised my knee in the process of learning, so for the last couple of times I used a stick to push the stone out since my knee was very unhappy with me. I'm just an uncoordinated mess, so if you are at all athletic I think you'll be more than fine. I would agree that it's a very approachable sport and people in wheelchairs can do it too! It's for all ages, children up to people in their 70s and 80s! I enjoyed my time so much that I'm totally sure we'll be back! And now my husband is more prepared for his work outing! A win win!

It's been a great experience. Our daughter hasn't played indoor soccer before and she really enjoyed the coaches, different rules, and format. The coaches really seem to enjoy what they do. The coaches also use the games for teaching moments and I truly believe my daughter has gained some really great skills with their guidance. We plan to return in the summer for summer camps.
