Very disappointed with this location, it's nearby and has a large selection, however extremely pretentious staff and most importantly they don't want to take care of they longstanding clientele. Brought in an older pair of driving loafers with almost no wear to soles, slight scuffing at the toe but literally both heels completely detached from soles from rubbing on car mats over some years of use. This is the kind of situation where there was an obvious defect yet Gucci refuses to repair or replace, credit towards a future purchase - absolutely nothing for me! This is not the customer service you expect to receive from this iconic brand. Even Lululemon which costs Pennie's compared to Gucci but takes care of their customers and will make things right! Wow I love the new stores. Christian my sales person was so attentive, very patient and showed me the purses I wanted to see but I already new which purse I wanted round vintage. Next month I will go back for the wallet lol. I loved the fact that the Gucci store had enough personnel and there was no outside line to get in so it was in and out for me. Raquel at Gucci went above and beyond to help me today, it's been awhile since I have been in since my person left the company. Christian used to help me awhile back with all my purchases. He assisted me with all my gifts for my family during holidays. I introduced him to my aunt and he helped her as well. He assisted my husband in picking out gifts for me for my birthday. He also would invite me for special events. That said, it's been hard to find that same connection and I will say I've attempted to connect but honestly have not had that level of personalization happen. Today, I felt that when I came in and was immediately approached and assisted by Raquel to help fix my broken zipper in a gift my husband purchased for me. During my time waiting I asked about a bag that caught my eye and she took the time to show me the details and ask more questions. I felt she was listening to me and proceeded to ask her about some other things I was interested in and she then walked me over to show me other items. Her authenticity really came through and she then asked for my number to further assist me with future items that may interest me based on what she was hearing from what I shared. I then received a picture of the bag I liked which I felt was a nice follow up. This simple gesture gave me a little hope that I may have a new contact that could assist me with my needs in a way that Christian was able to. read more

On 6/5, I called Gucci's customer service looking for a specific espadrille in a size 6.5. No one had them and the reviews said they ran small. They found a 6 at Oak Brook mall. I asked them to hold them for me to try on for an upcoming trip. I get there and Jennifer is the person helping me with the 6. They feel too small and I am sliding down. She suggests some plastic supports that help with sliding. She shows me on her phone and I take a picture from my phone. I buy the shoes and asked the return policy. Jennifer says 30 days. I walk around my carpeted apt with the plastic applications. I decided that this would not work because I was sliding and the shoes were not comfortable and for $800. I needed to love these shoes.I left them at home and left town. Today, June 23, I come back to the mall, see Jennifer, and tell her I need to return the shoes and I will take a credit because I didn't have time to shop.One of the plastic applicators is still in the shoe. Of course, this is a different less best friendly best friend as she was previously. She needs her manager... no problem. The manager after who knows how long they needed in the back to investigate this shoe or call CSI, comes out and says they can't return this shoe because it is damaged. I hold it together as long as I could. Damaged how? Oh where Jennifer said to try the shoes with a plastic applicator? The manager wants to offer me a 6.5. Jennifer is no where to be found. Can't even say yes I suggested the plastic shoe insert. When the manager hears I just wanted a credit, magically the shoes aren't damaged and she promptly swipes a gift card for the nearly $800. Oh she did not tell us you wanted a credit. Upon thinking harder I ask for the district manager. New guys comes out that back. I let him know that I would like to be treated the same way I was when I was purchasing. All the director and manager could do was offer me a bottled water. Thanks I have one. Seeing that the "higher ups" both looked like me, you would think they have been through the same treatment they served me today. Brand new now I supposed. Gucci needs to do a better job in their stocking of the store and customer service. When I walked in to the Oakbrook Gucci to try and exchange a GG belt, that was given as a gift but was too big, (a) they were all standing around talking and barely acknowledged anyone had entered the store and (b) when I walked up to a gentleman asking for help to exchange a gift I was met with snobbish remarks and then told I couldn't exchange because I need the original card. So I leave and go back the following day with my husband who purchased the gift, the same situation occurs and we're told a new size can't be ordered without returning the first belt and then repurchasing a new belt with some lame excuse they are a flagship store. This is ridiculous that in 2022 a luxury brand doesn't have a better exchange process or treatment of their customers. Maybe you should look at your peers (e.g., LV) because they obviously have it together. Do better Gucci. read more

Its getting close to Valentines Day, so usually my wife and i choose what we want to buy for ourselves because thats how we do it. She decides she wants a Gucci bag, and since im not a good purse picker i give her my blessing to pick it out and she knows its from me etc. She goes in and theres maybe about 10 workers and 5 potential customers, and one for sure customer (my wife). Nobody even approaches her even though she was clearly seen walk in. Shes kind of standing around not really sure of what her options are and the whole Time no one is taking care of her, while other people are walking in and quickly approached. Now mind you its the weekend, so were usually in relax mode on the weekend after working hard all week and at the same time taking care of our 2 teenagers and 2 and 7 year old. So we usually dont have time to get dressed to the nines before we go to the mall like most people here. Not hating on them but people with kids know how it is. But were not bummy either. Even if we were at the end of the day we are walking into a store with money in our pockets thats just as valuable as anyone elses, its not like we got confused and walked into the Gucci store not knowing what it was and how much it costs. My wife has a couple of bags already but im sure after this little trip to snobland that Gucci apparently is shes wont be getting anymore anytime soon. Which at the end of the day probably wont hurt them but who wants to give their hard earned money to a company that clearly looks down on anyone who they think isnt Worthy of their attention? I dont mind my wife buying nice things for herself because she works hard, this isnt the only company around that sells nice products. When I asked to speak to manager she was engaging and argumentative rather than professional and informative. If I could give them -5 stars I would... I was at your store on Saturday December 17 with me two children (9&6) getting my husband birthday gifts. I drank an energy drink on the way and didn't think anything of it because I drink coffee like it's going out of style. When it came time to pay my hands started to shake incontrolable so much so my 9 year old had to complete the transaction. Shortly after my legs started to shake and I had to sit down. All except one of your salespersons were too busy checking their watches and were more concerned with me leaving the store. It was 20 minutes before closing, I called my husband to come and get me and he was 10 minutes away. Rather than showing the slightest concern the sales people were literally checking their watches as they looked at me. I had to ask my 9 year old to go outside and find a nearby bench... mind you it was 20 degrees outside. He came back and he and my 6 year old helped me get up.... My 9 year old struggled to open the door because no body offered to at least hold the door (your officer at the door was more concerned with looking at his phone rather then helping a child who was trying to take care of his mother). What's worse is your sales people were all standing around talking to each other and did not bother helping my 9 year old son open the door either. I had to wait outside of your store in 20 degree weather with two young children to wait for my husband to come and get us. The Gucci store in Oak Brook customer service is horrible I am a African-American woman who works in the medical field and I was literally ignored in the store for about 25 minutes BUT I was followed by security from the time I walked in the door when a Caucasian employee heard me saying how displeased I was with the customer service the employee finally asked me did I need some help as I started to ask questions another Caucasian woman walked up to her and start to ask questions as well she told me to wait she will be with me in a moment and then start to help the Caucasian woman although she was initially answering my questions first and this is not the first time that I have been ignored in this Gucci store in Oak Brook the entire staff needs to go and take a customer service training class the only reason I gave it one star is because I had to put something in order to leave a review I will never ever step foot back in that Gucci store for as long as I live they are horrible untrained employees so good luck if you are going to shop there I would take my hard earned dollars and go totally out of my way than to shop at that store and I love Oak Brook I'm there at least three times a week in the shopping area but I will never step foot in that store EVER again GUCCI in Oak Brook DO BETTER read more
