Unfortunately, their customer service has been consistently terrible. My Jeep was towed from San Diego and left in a parking lot next door that was easily accessible from the dealership. Instead of moving it themselves or allowing it to be pushed the short distance, they made me have it towed all over again to their lot -- an unnecessary and frustrating hassle. On another occasion, they kept my car all day with no resolution and called me just 30 minutes before closing. I couldn't get there in time, leaving me stranded without a car. Another time, I was late dropping off my car because I had to take my child to school. They held onto the car all day and didn't service it, using my late drop-off as an excuse. Just today, I dropped off my Jeep for a rattle. It took three weeks to get the part, only for me to be told at 2:30 pm that they received the wrong part! It's clear they don't prioritize their customers at all. As a local business woman, I even created discount coupons to offer customers waiting for their cars a chance to enjoy a bite and drink nearby. Yet, no one has ever received a coupon, and when I asked service personnel about them, they didn't even remember the coupons existed. I wish there was another place in San Luis Obispo to take my Jeep under warranty, but unfortunately, there isn't. This dealership's lack of care and professionalism has made me seriously reconsider my loyalty.

(The other brand they sold.) So we were reluctant to use them for anything. But, friends told us that the new owners have completely changed the business. They were right! The new owners have hired a new team, re-energized the Chevy brand, and genuinely seem interested in selling and servicing Chevys and Mercedes. The new staff are professional and very personable. The purchasing experience of our new Chevy Bolt was actually a breeze and very pleasant. We've now taken both cars back to CB for service and have been completely satisfied. The Chevrolet service advisers, Enrique and Jasper, are both so knowledgeable and professional, and they treat me like I'm a really valued customer and friend. What more could I ask? Service like this is so exceptional in today's world. I highly recommend this business.

Customer Beware - Misleading Sales Practices…read more I was selling my Mustang on Facebook Marketplace when Zephyrin from Paso Robles Chevrolet contacted me about purchasing the car for their used inventory. Since I live about an hour away in Nipomo, I asked if they could give me a conditional offer before I made the drive. I provided the VIN, mileage (64k), and my listing already included about 15 photos showing the car in detail. Zephyrin responded that their conditional offer without seeing the car was $24,000, and that they might be able to increase it by another $2,250 after inspection. Based on that conversation, I drove to Paso Robles Chevrolet. When I arrived, it was as if that discussion never happened. The manager (I believe his name was Don, but I'm not 100% certain) immediately started talking about needing $1,800 tires and offered $22,500, later increasing it to $23,000 and refusing to move further. I explained that I regularly receive offers in the $23k-$25k range, and the only reason I drove up was because they had already stated $24k as the conditional offer before seeing the car. Instead, I spent over two hours round trip driving there just to receive a lower offer. I still have the Facebook Marketplace messages confirming the $24,000 conditional offer. Overall, the experience felt misleading and dishonest, and I would not recommend doing business with Paso Robles Chevrolet if you value transparency and your time.

Keegan, my service advisor, was outstanding. He communicated with me constantly, kept me informed, and provided regular updates throughout the entire process. I never had to wonder what was happening with my truck. What impressed me even more was how I was treated before the service department had even opened. I was stranded at the dealership on a Sunday, waiting for the tow truck to arrive with my truck. A gentleman working that day--I believe he was in sales or finance--treated me as though he were welcoming me into his own home. He came outside to visit with me, invited me to wait inside where it was cool, and offered me water and cookies. That level of genuine kindness is incredibly rare in today's world. I spent my career in retail and served as a vice president of a national brand, so I recognize exceptional customer service and a well-run organization when I see one. Sales: - Aside from "Financing": 4 - "Financing": 2 Service: - Advisor: 5 - Scheduling: 4 - Kept Up-To-Date: 5 - Prologue Software (it's a combined effort with GM): 3 - Waiting Area: 3 (almost always crowded) - Shuttle to Nearby Areas: 4 - Location of the Dealership: 5 This review actually covers 2 parts of the business: Sales and Service My wife and I owned several Hondas over the years and, since I wanted to get an EV in June 2024, I bought a Prologue Touring model. The salesman, who I believe is no longer at the dealership, was reasonable. In fact, all the people I met seemed "reasonable". Of course, maybe that's just the nature of most employees in sales. One incident still sticks in my craw. Right before I finalized the paperwork, my sales guy said he just heard from the "top brass" that in order to immediately claim my tax credit of $7,500...I needed to finance "part of the purchase price". Otherwise, I'd get that $7,500 when I filed taxes in 2025. I was ready, willing and able to simply write a check for the full price, but they said "you'll need to finance around $20,000 of the $62,000 total. Just pay it off after the 1st month. The cost to you will be about $80". It was and I did.....although that seemed like a smarmy way to make extra money from people who fail to pay it off. Now for the better news. My Prologue ran well, didn't have any problems and was a really great experience to drive from June 2024 until October 2025. At that time, parts of the large dashboard started to go blank and error messages began to pop up. The car still rode well, but I wanted to know "what's up". On November 4th, the Service Department said I needed software updates and tried every way possible to get that done, but nothing worked. They determined - together with Honda USA Headquarters in LA - that new "communication hardware" had to be installed. Unfortunately, that wouldn't arrive until December 23rd. Sunset Honda offered a free rental from Hertz, but indicated I'd need to leave my Prologue on their lot for 6 weeks until the part arrived. I declined and kept the car so it could be parked in my garage each night. The hardware did arrive on December 23rd, but since installation could be a multi day process, I scheduled it for December 30th with a pickup on January 6th (I live 35 minutes away). They gave me a loaner from their lot for that week. Everything has been fine since then. I got a recall notice in mid March 2026 to install 11 software updates, but when I brought my Prologue in they discovered it only 1 because of previous work on the car. Through it all - everything - I've had a really great Service Advisor.....Matt Simpson. Matt understood. Back on November 4th 2025, you could almost see the pain on his face when he had to break the news news that each attempt to download new software failed. He seemed to do everything within his control to cushion the blow with each visit in November, December and January 2026. The other Service Advisors at Sunset Honda might be great, but I'd ask for Matt Simpson.

I returned just four days later, ready to complete the sale, and they refused to honor it because they had simply "changed their minds." If a dealership won't stand behind its own offer for the period it says the offer is valid, its word means very little. They wasted my time, lost my trust, and have now lost my service business as well.

In negotiations, they then told me these cars don't get sent with a charger anyways- so they wouldn't negotiate on the cost to replace. This was from both the Sales manager and another lending agent. They went as far as showing me the window sticker as "proof" of its absence. I contacted Kia Corp. They affirmed the inclusion of a charger. Even told me to refer to the owners manual and it's specific language(see picture). Radio silence from the General manager, I'm unimpressed. As a "family owned business" is keeping a trickle charger worth the cost of your reputation?
