I went in for a service issue in December. The problem was diagnosed and parts were ordered in early January. Parts arrived shortly there after. The job was to replace the seal on the oil pan. I was then told that they did not have a technician on staff who could complete the work and that I would be called when they did. I just got that call and it's May 1st. Customer Beware - Misleading Sales Practices I was selling my Mustang on Facebook Marketplace when Zephyrin from Paso Robles Chevrolet contacted me about purchasing the car for their used inventory. Since I live about an hour away in Nipomo, I asked if they could give me a conditional offer before I made the drive. I provided the VIN, mileage (64k), and my listing already included about 15 photos showing the car in detail. Zephyrin responded that their conditional offer without seeing the car was $24,000, and that they might be able to increase it by another $2,250 after inspection. Based on that conversation, I drove to Paso Robles Chevrolet. When I arrived, it was as if that discussion never happened. The manager (I believe his name was Don, but I'm not 100% certain) immediately started talking about needing $1,800 tires and offered $22,500, later increasing it to $23,000 and refusing to move further. I explained that I regularly receive offers in the $23k-$25k range, and the only reason I drove up was because they had already stated $24k as the conditional offer before seeing the car. Instead, I spent over two hours round trip driving there just to receive a lower offer. I still have the Facebook Marketplace messages confirming the $24,000 conditional offer. I have a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado LT and my motor blew up had it towed to Paso Robles Chevrolet and after a month and a half I got my 2nd motor put in only to blow up after a week . It was towed to Hanford Keller Chevrolet and was told they would not touch it because Paso Robles Chevrolet had done the work and that it needed to be towed back I had to pay $363 for the tow , why I had to pay for it when Chevrolet did the work still bothers me . So now Paso Robles has it again and after another 1 1/2 months a 3rd motor was installed. They test drove it and that motor blew up and now a 4th motor is being ordered meanwhile 3 1/2 months now and still making payments on a truck I don't have has not only making me angry over all this but now I'm forced to wait longer till they say this motor has been installed and my truck is ready . I have called Chevrolet assistance and filed a claim and haven't heard anything from them yet I was told by the service manager I would be updated on everything from the start but found out the status when I would contact them I'm angry frustrated and not being told about the status of my truck from time to time is unacceptable. Now I'll be waiting going on 4 months and yes 4 motors now . Appointment at 9:00AM for an oil change. That afternoon when my wife went to pick up truck (3500 Silverado High Country) the oil change was not done. My wife had to pick up truck to go to work. This specific dealership has consistently provided POOR customer service. Everyone we speak to in our community has the same feelings regarding poor service. This is review is long overdue. After months of searching for a truck, I finally found one on Autotrader. Only problem it was 3.5 hrs away, so it wasn't as easy as just stopping by to inspect the truck. I called and was immediately connected to the sales rep Santos. From here, he guided me through the entire process of buying the truck. I really appreciate the step by step thorough inspection process he provided too since I was not able to physically inspect the truck. He confirmed with his service dept the truck had no prior history of damages or repairs based on their inspection, and having this confirmation along with a clean Carfax report pretty much sold the deal. About a week or so went by and after all the inspection report and price negotiation, we made reservations to go buy the truck. Given this was during the height of Covid, Santos and his team ensured we conducted our transaction safely while abiding to all Covid safety rules. We were even given 1/4 of the sales floor to sign docs. Here we are a year later. I pulled a Carfax report to get an estimate of my truck, and it appears a "Structural Damage" report was added after I bought the truck. I was freaking out, like damn did they pull a fast one on me. I called back and spoke to the manager Bruce whom ensured me that there had to be a mistake on Carfax's end. I also spoke to Santos whom also confirmed the info on Carfax must have been incorrect. I reached out to Carfax and discovered there was an internal error on their end. They ended up removing the erroneous structural damage report. Long story short, the service Santos provided from the beginning went above and beyond. Bruce the manager was really helpful in regards reassuring me the damage report was erroneous and assisted to help if Carfax couldn't. Went in to trade in a car; intent to make a deal on a vehicle drove from out of town. The sales guy was helpful (William). We called him beforehand to negotiate a good deal; went in and after getting appraised we were met with Joe. When Joe came in he was pretty firm on prices and said no negotiation. When we let him know after looking around we have gotten more than what he offered us we got asked "and why didn't you buy from them" very rudely. It's known that car buying is a commitment you obviously want to look for the best deals. We weren't even asking him to match that trade in price we were simply sharing to NEGOTIATE as you do when buying a car. Sadly he cost the great sales guy William a sale. We really loved the car but again Joe decided to say "who knows if your credit is even good enough to go lower from here" and again "why not buy from their dealership?" I really appreciated that, and he was able to find me a Chevy Bolt without having put in a custom order within just a day of me calling. The process was really smooth once I got there, and he had the car detailed & prepared right out front upon our arrival. We hopped in, took a test drive, & got the paperwork done! He passed us over to Mario, the finance manager, who got everything prepared quickly & thoroughly explained everything we were signing! Purchased my car on Saturday. They had said they were having it detailed and gas tank filled up before I went home. Come 6pm everyone is flying out of the parking lot while I'm waiting for keys. No worries it's a weekend everyone wants to get home. The sales guy left before me and so did the detail guy. I get in and the car not only hadn't been cleaned but the tank was not filled. Just purchased a cad would like for it to have gas before I drive home. So I let the sales guy know that night and he said he would contact me the next day to make it right. Well I get called on Monday by the service dept. Patrick to be exact. He apologized and said a detail should take 3-4 hours so no way was it detailed. I laughed and said yeah I figured. He scheduled me for today Wednesday for it to be detailed and a light to be checked that had come on. Mind you I have two kids so a little dirt in a car isn't much to me. But this car was dirty. Seats had dirt, m&ms on the ground, windows had finger prints. I drop off my car he tells me it'll be about 3-4 hours. Okay cool, I go home. I called for an update on time. I have a schooled aged child that needs to be picked up. I left a message. No call back. So I call again at 330 stating I called and LM no one called back and I needed an update he then tells me "it's an all day detail your car is about 99% done you can come get it but it might not be finished" LOL COOL. So I get picked up by their Uber driver so to speak. Sweetest man. To make a long story shorter, I get there and they can't find my keys, argued about if I'm suppose to pay for this $249 detail LOL. Finally get my keys after about 20 minutes and my car is still in the same condition. Dirt in the same spots, windows have marks all over, m&ms still under the seat. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Horrible horrible job. I don't really even believe my car was done when I called it was a cover because I said I need to come get my car with car seats in them. Honestly can't say much good about this. This is where my experience isn't so good. That 2021 Tahoe Premier I was so excited for only has 18,000 miles and has electrical problems. Collision light came on in my car and due to that adaptive cruise control, lane assist and a couple other things do not work because of it. The Tahoe has been in the shop for a week now and they still can't figure it out. Not very happy with the service department and their explanations on as to why this is happening. I love making a car payment on a car I can't drive and that is new as well! They also had the car for a couple days several months ago for recalls. Same thing, couldn't figure it out and we're waiting for help from the manufacturer. I'd gladly redeem my opinion if I get my car back asap with a legit reason why my car has literally just been sitting and the troubleshooting techniques are basically one thing per day. This doesn't work, we ordered it and now have to wait until tomorrow.... Bla bla bla. I was a 76 y/o woman who needed the guidance of Paso Chevrolet auto repair My auto was towed in to Paso Chevrolet and I was given a quote for a new transmission. I was given the quote of 7,700.00 to repair factory rebuilt which included taxes, out the door, and 100,000 mile warranty on transmission.. Since they had the lowest bid I authorized the care after obtaining a loan of 7,700 to repair the transmission and being told the car looked in good shape when the inspection was completed. 6 Weeks later, I received a call that they had found a module that cost $ 5,000 that needed to be replaced. To sweeten the deal they said GM would take 1000.00 off the part, and Paso Robles chevrolet would take 500.00 of the module part. I ended up paying 4,367.03 for module #24279726. The way that this was handled made me feel like I had been conned to pay a higher price even though they had given me the lowest bid to fix the car. The total bill came out to 12,489.32. I was then told I have better than a 100,000 warranty on the transmission. That it was unlimited for 3 years. Which with my age 77, I drive 5,000 - 10,000 max a year it was not better than a 100,000 mile warranty. Furthermore, I recently googled the part I was charged 4,367.33 after the supposedly $1,500 deduction was listed for $3,091.03 new 7 months after the purchase and/with inflation. The way this whole fiasco was handled made me sick and changed my life. See for yourself and google the module 24279726. I needed a wheel cover for my Chevy Spark. So I ordered one thru their parts dept. It only took a couple of days to come in and I asked them if they could put it in for me. I know it's probably a simple task, but I'm an elderly widow and it would be hard for me. Had an appointment today at 9:30am to have my 2024 Chevy Malibu serviced, upon arrival they had me under a different account, had to create a whole new account. Due to the year of my car, you would think it would be under warranty, but that was not the case. Also, I was under the impression a loaner vehicle would be available from the conversation I had with the service associate a couple of days ago, that was not the case either. In fact, the service manager made it very clear they do not offer a loaner vehicle at this dealership. He also said, "my car would not even be looked at until 1 PM". As such, I asked for my keys back and left. When it comes to this particular dealership, I highly recommend not going there. The service department is incompetent at best, what you are told on the phone and what is reality when you show up it's completely different. I bought a used truck from them as well as their Protective warranty. I called to have my truck serviced because of a headlight issue. I live 46 miles from this dealer so I asked to bring it to the sister dealer that is closer and I couldn't due to the contract even though it's the same owner. So I understand and I drop my truck off for 2 days and finally get a call saying they can't fix it because the headlights they sold me are aftermarket. So I call the Protective warranty agent and Chevy didn't even call them to verify this. What good is a warranty if you can't use it. Especially on something that's a safety hazard. This time around it was a "simple" $1000 headlight situation. Rip Off! Buyer be aware. My brother in law brought in his truck to be repaired and they charged him over $700 for labor with a $87 connector (material cost). They said the time to replace the connector took 4 hours. They charged $175 an hour and most of this was just resetting the computer (getting it out of lockdown mode). By far the best experience I've had with buying a new car. Santos defied all expectations and stereotypes associated with car salespeople. His temperament and personality is exactly what you want to work with as a consumer. Zero pressure, very personable, and he truly wants you to get the vehicle that you want. They did not have the exact vehicle we wanted in stock, and for some reason deliveries from the factory have been slow, but Paso Chevy put in the extra effort to locate the exact vehicle from another dealer in CA and made a dealer trade to get the vehicle we wanted. Avoid this dealership if you are receiving anything other than an oil change. I took my car in to get the headliner replaced. I have owned the car for 2 years with only 11k miles, to give you an idea for my care of the car. They had my car for a month, and told me they couldn't set me up with a loner car which made things very difficult as I work in SLO. I finally received my car back: they didn't even fix the headliner, and they put a chip in the paint in multiple places and put two deep scratches on my roof (down to the metal). Extremely unhappy. Bottom line: Absolutely go somewhere else to have your Chevy serviced. The service department is short-staffed and managed poorly. My new truck (Silverado, owned for under a year) was brought in for performance issues combined with an oil leak on December 12th. For ONE MONTH my truck sat at the dealership. I was told there was a serious oil problem with the truck and that they had no idea where the oil was going. The techs were stumped, and it was a "gremlin" electrical issue and that they were looking for a needle in a haystack. I was told they would have to remove major parts to solve the problem. The holidays come around and I am told they are down three techs, and someone also caught Covid. Understandable. I asked about a loner car because it had been over 2 weeks. Paso Chevrolet doesn't do loner cars anymore due to Covid, which is my least favorite excuse for poor customer service. No rental was offered. I called several times for updates throughout the time my truck was there. There were No return calls, even after several messages and several calls to the office. After the holidays I was told my truck was next in line. Leading me to believe it had not been looked at for over three weeks. One month later... I got a call and was told that the problem was the oil plug! There was a small brake pad issue and all they had to remove was the inner fender well. However, my truck would be done that day. I told them I would be up the following day as I had no ride to the dealership at the time. I arrived at the dealership the next morning around 9:30. Surprise! My truck was not ready. I was told the mechanic got sidetracked the day before and didn't work on my truck! 4 hours later... after they finally worked on my truck, I left the dealership. My truck is not running at 100%, and still has performance issues and I am going to have to take it to a different dealership. There is no excuse for a dealership to have a poorly run service department. Why would Chevrolet not improve this department? This is an upper-management problem to solve. The employees are overworked, underpaid, and short-staffed. Don't post a reply stating that you're the GM and you take everything seriously. Paso Chevrolet's upper management is aware of the problems with the service department. Do something and post about all the changes you have made to better serve your community! read more
