I was recently in Paso Robles on a family vacation when my GMC Denali developed a serious problem. I brought it to Borjon Auto Center, and I can honestly say that the service I received was beyond exceptional. Keegan, my service advisor, was outstanding. He communicated with me constantly, kept me informed, and provided regular updates throughout the entire process. I never had to wonder what was happening with my truck. What impressed me even more was how I was treated before the service department had even opened. I was stranded at the dealership on a Sunday, waiting for the tow truck to arrive with my truck. A gentleman working that day--I believe he was in sales or finance--treated me as though he were welcoming me into his own home. He came outside to visit with me, invited me to wait inside where it was cool, and offered me water and cookies. That level of genuine kindness is incredibly rare in today's world. I spent my career in retail and served as a vice president of a national brand, so I recognize exceptional customer service and a well-run organization when I see one. Customer for 12 years. Took our 2014 GMC Sierra in for appointment, made 2 weeks before, for lack of AC cooling. First Appt,(Monday) left truck all day,no calls received, no work done. appt following Monday, truck left for entire work day, no calls, reported AC compressor leaking, part ordered. 3rd appt, following Monday, truck left all day. Compressor replaced, $1,256.00. No calls. Told on pickup AC working "perfectly". Used truck for work, next day. No AC. 4th appt (following Monday) Truck left all day. No calls ever received. On pickup told something is wrong in dashboard, est. another $1200.00, mostly labor to tear into dash and find problem. 1 month, 4 appts, $1256, no AC, they don't have a clue, but want us to continue to finance their incompetence. Took a car in about a year or two ago to fix a coolant issues. They "fixed" it and sent us on our way. The car sat for a year haven't drove it since. Noticed there was no coolant in the car and it was leaking so coolant. So we brought it back in couple weeks ago and they told us "oh you have cracked coolant lines." If I sent my car in a year or two ago to get the coolant, coolant box, or lines fixed. Why didn't yall fix it before?? They wanted to charge us 900 to fix the lines and we told them screw you. Very unprofessional staff. I had been in talks about a truck for 3 days. He told me I would get the first offer at it seeing how I called first. Worked out financing and everything. Planned to go down there Sunday and pick it They even offered to drop the price 1k which was very generous. So I booked a hotel to go pick it up because it was a few hours away from me. Then the day before I got a call saying they sold it, and told me that someone was willing to pay full price for it. Which I was planing on paying anyways until they offered a 1k discount. We just bought a 2024 1500 Denali Ultimate. Our salesman was Moises and he did a phenomenal job helping us out. However, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the people that work there. Over the several weeks that it took for our truck to come in, I went to visit, and the other sales reps were also very helpful. Clayton and Ron were very generous with their time and very knowledgeable. One thing that struck me as I did not feel like I was surrounded by sharks looking to poach each other's customer. Over the course of the month my truck was inbound delivered, Moises was very good at keeping me updated. Once the truck arrived, the service on delivery was exceptional by any standard. Moses walked me through every feature of the truck as well as the GMC iPhone app. This included setting up on Star, which what is especially useful since I had multiple accounts and he helped compile them into a single account. Dealership refused to cover coolant tank and coolant after it had been brought in numerous times for coolant leaking and car overheating. Was initially brought in for the issue with 35940 miles and under full warranty. They finally figured it out when the car had 75104 miles on it. They had full history of the issue and not being able to figure it out. The final time they had the car 3 days to finally figure it out and can't even take care of the customer. Wrote the service manager through their website on 9/6/24 and got no response as of today 9/19/24, giving me the impression they don't care about their customers. read more

You know when you're having "one of those days" that simply exemplifies Murphy's Law (anything that CAN go wrong, WILL go wrong)? We had one of those last Monday. Driving back from Big Sur home to Long Beach, something decided to take a stab at our manifold about halfway between Paso Robles and Interstate 5. Not good. It took about 3 and a half hours sitting on the side of the road before we were finally able to get a tow. Also not good. The tow took us to Borjon. We got to Borjon just after the service department closed. Crap. By the time we realized the car was 100% dead in the water, we called Enterprise. Which gave a ten minute deadline to get there. Crap crap. So we called Budget. They have a car, we're gold! We were going to walk to the purported address of Budget (2 miles away), but was stymied when we realized there wasn't a sidewalk. On our way back to figure out our next step, a very helpful sales person, Cooper, offered us a ride, which we graciously accepted. Cooper drove us to Budget. Except it didn't exist. Huh? Turns out the address on Yelp was wrong. We drove up the block and found it. Closed? Crap^3. Looks like the number provided forwarded to San Luis Obispo Airport. Oops. Cooper proceeded to drive us to Enterprise, hoping we'd get lucky. We weren't. (Crap)(Crap)(Crap)(Crap). Long story short (too late), Cooper drove us to San Luis Obispo Airport. 30 miles away. He postponed dinner with his Aunt. His Aunt just wanted to make sure everyone was safe. Yes. That really happened. A sales person gave a ride of 30 miles, one way, in the wrong direction, to three strangers who hadn't showered in 3 days. Oh my God, just purchased a used car and it looked too good to be true so foolish me didn't think to spend the 350 cool off money because I thought wow what a great dealership...not. They sold me a moldy mess and I called right away, the guy said to remove the mats...I did. So I took it back and they said they cleaned the hoses because the smell is coming from the vents of mold and mildew, what ever they did is not working and now I'm stuck with what is know as a "sick car". I believe that they knew about this and sold it to me anyway. I tried my best to have them take it back and even put me in another car that they had but no....I am beside myself. Stranded on the central coast on vacation with GMC Sierra Duramax diesel emissions acting up with a countdown to speed limiter of 4 mph. Dropped into Borjon at 8am without an appointment and Trent had me back on the road by 9:30am with new reductant tank, heater, and sensors...not a small feat, having to drop DEF tank to access failed components.
