The service is usually quick and I usually can grab a quick drink at the bar if there is ever a wait for a table. They have a wide selection of food but I usually just have a drink or a small bite. we have been here before, and it was always crowded. Tonight it wasn't but it also was a Monday night, which may explain why it wasn't crowded. The food was its usual, very good tasting and well prepared although the portions seemed to be less than previous times we were here. We got here a little before five since they have a happy hour. They have a happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6. Sitting by the water adds to the atmosphere We enjoyed our loaded tater tot and alligator bite appetizers. Our entrée of grouper and corn pudding as well as brussels sprouts was very good as well. I would've given them a five except there was an issue with the bill. The first time we got the bill they were items included that we didn't order. Our waitress came back and corrected it, but the bill was still wrong. Finally the third time the bill was correct. We didn't see a trail on the bills in other words a credit for the incorrect bill followed by a credit for the second incorrect bill however, Jen, the general manager came to our table and assured us that everything would be OK with the billing yes we rated it a four where is the other experiences with five star experiences. This is a great restaurant to go to if you want to feel like you're on vacation! The thatched roof and palm trees make the restaurant feel very tropical, and the setting along the water is lovely! There was a wait so we got drinks and drank them in Adirondack chairs along the water until our table was ready. The food was good but nothing to call home about. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger which was cooked exactly how I asked and was super tasty! The popcorn shrimp is great but the portion was very small for a $35 dish. The burger was only $16 so definitely better bang for my buck. I'll definitely come back here for the great ambiance and live music! read more

Been here four times now with all honesty unfortunately it seems to be going a little bit south. Chicken was rubbery on my Caesar and for the most part I still think the prices are a little bit higher than they should be. Atmosphere is always pretty cool but had a young kid band playing, which was decent just a little bit loud, my wife was very happy with her food and my two daughters were as well somewhat delighted. The ambiance of this beautiful restaurant does not make up for its heinous food. We ordered the fish tacos, steamers and nachos. The steamers were just regular littleneck clams. Even the waiter admitted theyre not steamers. The taco shell fell apart in my hand. The nachos were low on every topping. Drinks took 20 min to reach the table. 15 before a waiter took our order. So I always heard about this spot but never been. I was in the area and decided to give them a try for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is very vacation like. I'm positive this spot is a hit for happy hour or dinner! My tequila based drink was pretty weak to be $15, so I was pretty bummed about that. I also ordered a lemon drop shot and that was much better. As for the food, the appetizers were good we had Mexican street corn flat bread and spicy jalapeño popcorn shrimp. My entree was decent but I wouldn't order it again. I was not a fan of the breading on the grouper.. it was almost like a frozen not fresh taste. Our waiter was very attentive and he even helped us with recommendations on what to eat. Overall our brunch was decent but the hype for this place is...dining by the water. We came to guananbanas for a quick lunch on a Saturday. They have right up front valet which makes it easy to get in and out. We got right in and sat at a table with a beautiful view. Our server was very nice and efficient. We both got the special ( grouper ) I got it blackened and my husband got it grilled. We both enjoyed the fish. We did think it was a little pricey ($39) for a slice of grouper but overall we will return for lunch. read more

What a lovely Valentines date we had at Guanabanas! If you're looking for a slice of tropical paradise with a Florida breeze, the most whimsical ambience and views, and great food, this is the spot! When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait for patio seating--no problem! We grabbed a drink at the bar (I had a habanero infused tequila and soda with lime and hubby had a killer tropical cocktail I cannot remember) and headed to the adirondacks on the water to relax and enjoy the view. We watched birds fly by and paddle boarders scoot along the water. When we were seated, our server, Kara, promptly greeted us with absolutely fantastic service. We started with the gulf steamers and they were outstanding. For our entrees, we had the tile fish and the smoke house burger. We both devoured our food! We ended our dinner with a coconut cream pie that didn't last more than two minutes on the table. As we dined, we enjoyed the loveliest breeze and watched the sun set. It was truly the most relaxing dinner we've had in months! We love Guanabanas and cannot wait to return! read more

Here you are paying for the outdoor seating on the intercoastal, nothing more. the food is average and unmemorable but they don't take reservations so if you're on the go and need a spot this could be for you. The ambiance is beautiful and deserves 5 stars, however if you review the food and service with the ambiance, two stars is generous. We were here several years ago and previously enjoyed the food and drinks, yesterday the food was horrible. We both left stating we would only go back for drinks, happy hour drinks, as the drink prices went up a lot since the last time we were here. We were not informed about any drink specials and did not order any drinks. The food was not good, almost tasteless, and definitely not worth the money. The alligator bites were tough, very chewy, and did not have any flavor. As you can see by the photos it appears they throw green peppers on things to add flavor and it doesn't work. The catfish po boy was too thin and the fish was half the size of the bun. The spicy fried shrimp wrap was just okay, it should be noted I requested the jalapeños and sauce on the side to control the amount of spice yet, it was still just okay. The spicy Brussels sprouts were good but the corn putting was COLD and not delicious as it had been in the past. Guanabanas is a must when vacationing in Jupiter. It's located on the water and the ambience screams tropical vacation. There's often fun bands playing and a good crowd of people. We had a really nice experience at this restaurant in Jupiter recently. Our waitress was Shanna, and she was delightful, friendly, and was knowledgeable about gluten-free preparation. We were meeting some friends and family and she was very patient with our slowness of ordering. We had the soup of the day, which was the lobster bisque, the Huevos Ranchero, the triple-tail catch of the day, the classic fried shrimp and fries, the fat Cuban, and the shrimp eggs Benedict. By far, the shrimp eggs, Benedict were a big hit along with the Grilled triple tail catch of the day (GF). The Huevos Ranchero was a bit small and undewhelming. The setting is very nice as it's right on one of the marsh canals so you've got a lot of active boating and wildlife around you. Great experience and will be back. read more

I have been here twice. The first time was for a drink and the second time was for food. My fiancé liked the price and strength of his drink. Mine was a bit experience for what it was. I shared it with him to avoid having to finish it. For me, the alcohol was a bit overpowering. The views and ambiance at Guanabnas is like no other place I have yet to experience in Florida!! It's the only reason why I'm going this place 5 stars. The food my fiancé and I ate was average at best do to the underwhelming lacked of flavor.. Both times we were there the service was good enough! The staff was nice, helpful, and made great suggestions. I highly reccomend Guanabnas if you're looking for a place to go enjoy sitting by the water, interested to live music, and maybe having some drinks and an appetizer. The entrees are very over prices for what you get. Our appetizer was more enjoyable had and had more flavor than our main meal. I do plan to return. I love it here. The food is so fresh and delicious. They have so many amazing options. The drinks are also amazing. I love that the piña colada is dairy free! I haven't had one in so long and it was so refreshing and nostalgic. The server did a very good job and our food came out pretty fast. We were told the wait for the table would be an hour to an hour and a half but after getting drinks and sitting on the dock for about 30 mins enjoying our drinks we got the message that our table was ready. The live music definitely levels up the experience but it could be a bit loud at some points so we had to pause our conversation. However I wouldn't say that it negatively impacted our meal experience at all, at least the band that was playing good! read more

We came here after taking my cousin from the Netherlands on a 5 hour canoe trip in Jonathan Dickinson. I wanted to show them real Florida and Guanabanas was highly recommended on Let's Eat, South Florida from Facebook. It's a cute and relaxing atmosphere right on the inter coastal with a boat dock. You can see people kayaking, cannoning and boating from the table. We were all famished after a 5 hour canoe trip to Trapper Nelson's in the August sun. I ordered the Blackened Snapper sandwich and fish dip for an appetizer. Both were devoured along with a Rumrunner. This is an amazing part of the Jupiter experience. read more

Great spot by the water. Laid back vibes, we were in swimsuits/coverups due to a beach day. You can arrive by boat or car. The entire restaurant is open air. Their mixed drinks are pretty consistent. I've always been happy with my drink. I tried the Smokey Marg for the 1st time and it was so delicious. The chili salt rim really set it off. We ordered from the First Wave section to share. The Loaded Chicken Nachos were so good. Fresh ingredients and flavorful. The Mexican Street Corn Flatbread was kind of dry. A little disappointing. The Customer Service was great! They do have valet.
