I worked with Sam/GSE Flooring for removal of carpet flooring and installation of hardwood flooring for my house. Sam provided a very quick and fair estimate. He was very easy to work with. He waited for my hardwood materials to arrive and then he picked them up from the supplier and then immediately started working. Overall the installation process took 7-8 business days. On day-1 there was an issue with my garage door but that was not Sam's fault. I had to replace my door which was not planned for sure :) Anyways, Sam and his team did a great job. Installation quality is very good. After the job was finished, he even came back to install a missing quarterround which was not delivered by the supplier on time. In the middle of the installation he also fixed my squeaking subfloor - which was not an easy job. Overall I am very pleased with Sam and GSE flooring. My only suggestion for future jobs is to pay a little more attention to keeping the walls clean. I know that hardwood installation is a messy process itself; but one also wants to keep the rest of their house clean and nice. Sam was kind enough to clean up after the job was finished. I would give GSE a 6th star if I could. I haven't left a Yelp review in ages, but I couldn't resist. Samvel was very professional, kind and patient with us throughout the process. We were doing some remodeling and needed to replace the old carpets in the master bedroom and office with hardwood flooring and we had a tight timeline and a few other contractors who had cancelled on us. We got quite a few quotes from a number of other contractors, but GSE stood out because of Samvel's demeanor, availability, and amazingly affordable quote. He was very responsive to texts, email and phone calls throughout the process. He arrived about 10 minutes early for the measure and we unfortunately kept him waiting another 5 minutes, but he was very forgiving. He took the time to carefully explain some nuances we overlooked. We got a quote later that night. This was on a Thursday. We finalized the quote Friday and he started the work Monday morning. By Tuesday afternoon he was already done. It was just him and one other person. They kept the place really clean and tidy, took care of all the disposals, and carefully placed back our baseboards.
