We desperately needed our horribly cracked driveway and walkway redone. We had four steps made as well, replacing two from the front door and adding two from the walkway down to the sidewalk. In addition, there was an old concrete planter next to the driveway that we needed to have pulled out so we could widen the driveway a bit. That thing was a monster! G's crew showed up and boom, made everything better! They did a tremendous job, we're so pleased with the work. Excellent workmanship. Had G tear out and pour a new driveway, and 2 concrete pads. Demo work done in 1 day, set up on day 2 and poured on day 3. Work was done well but the finish is incorrect. It was supposed to be exposed aggregate like the rest of my concrete and the rest of the street. By the time I saw the error the concrete had already been set. My wood landscape edging was removed to build pouring frames. It was not reinstalled. It was discarded. Gerardo (the "G" in G's) was one of three contractors who bid on our small driveway repair job. But he didn't treat it like a small job. As soon as the rain let up (a minor miracle this winter), G sent his guys to do the deed -- the first day tearing out the collapsing portion of the driveway, filling and compacting the base, and positioning the rebar, and the next day pouring the concrete. The result was smooth as a baby's butt, except for a small spot that the rainwater had kept from drying properly. True to his guarantee, he's smoothing over that spot at no charge. So why did I choose G's, instead of the other two contractors? To be honest, Green Pacific Concrete and Rosie Concrete Solutions quoted almost identical prices, got equally great online reviews and made excellent impressions in person. I figured any of the three would do a good job. So it finally came down to G's written proposal, which he took overnight to think through (rather than quoting right away), which used precise numbers and which looked professional. I figured that if he took that much care with his proposal, I knew I could probably trust him to take care with the actual job. read more

The reviews for G's were great and I got a recommendation from our landscaper as well, so I called (their website isn't working for messaging). They were friendly and prompt and sent someone out to take a look at our front walkway that needs replacing. He asked us to send a picture of what we were interested in and I did - a simple photo with a question about whether it might work for them. Then...crickets. Text messages and calls to the number on their website with no response. I guess I'm just glad that I didn't give them money? If you don't want to take a job good business practice would be to let the client know that their job doesn't work for you. I guess that's tougher than it sounds. Too bad! read more

I contracted G's Concrete to replace my driveway after seeing their work on one of my neighbor's driveway. I am glad I used G's. Gerardo Herrera, the owner, showed up for his estimate on time and explained the timeline and costs. His crew arrived as planned to remove the existing driveway but discovered the connection of my house to the NW Natural gas line was buried only inches below the old driveway, so they could not pour new concrete until the pipeline was buried in accordance with code. NW Natural buried the pipeline after a few weeks delay and I feared the replacement concrete work would take a long time to reschedule. However, G's set up the pouring within a few days after NW Natural was done. Their work was terrific. Beautiful job, nice work crew. Fair price. Can't speak more highly of G's Concrete! read more

Unprofessional and rude. I contacted him and he asked me "Let me know if you still interesting in us to come by and take a look....". I responded yes then I never heard from him again . After a couple weeks I emailed him saying "Hi G, we never heard from you after this email. Are you still able to come by and check our project?". His rude response was simply "yes, I never respond to you back.". Personally I feel people should communicate with a little more respect. read more
