It turned out to be a bigger project as it turns out the wood had water damage, but he replaced and repaired what needed. Zach's pricing was very fair and reasonable and he made sure to explain everything he was doing which took away my anxiety about the whole thing. What I appreciated most was Zach's work ethic. He had a positive attitude during the project, showed up and put his work in each day, and I could really tell he genuinely cares about the project he was working on. OH MY GOSH!!!! So, I had purchased a house that had 3 porches that were literally falling apart and…read morenot safe to walk on. Well, two were not safe, and the 3rd, in the carport was icky looking AND made the carport too narrow to pull my car all the way up, so I wanted to do something, but i wasnt sure what. I found Alpha & Omega Construction on Yelp -and they had great reviews, so I contacted them. They responded right away and the next day Sam came out to look at what I needed and to give me an estimate for the work. He spent probably 2 hours looking over the decks and discussing with me and measuring and then left and said he would email me the estimates. I was really nervous because I knew that a project like this would be very expensive! a couple days later, his Dad, Alex, sent over the estimate. It was a great estimate, very fair pricing and so I accepted it. They started on the day I needed them to, however when they got here, Id had an idea about the carport porch. Originally they were going to take about 5" out and make it narrower, but I asked if they could instead pivot the whole thing so it faced the other way. Alex said, yep they can do that and gave me a good price on doing that. So then they got to work to disassemble both the front and back porches,. But then it started pouring down rain, so they said they would be back the next day. They showed up the next day and literally built both the porches completely, other than the railings!! And then the 3rd day, they finished those up and started on the carport. I didnt think they were going to get it done, but they did!! They worked until almost 7pm JUST so I wouldnt be left with an unfinished porch. And I cant say enough about what BEAUTIFUL work they do!! My porches look SOOOOO wonderful and are strong and sturdy and the little touches, like rounding the tops of the posts, make it look absolutely stunning!! I would call them again in a heartbeat!! I was thrilled to discover that they also paint houses AND all the little repair stuff that needs to be done (window trims etc) they are able to do too!!! Alex and Sam are the kind of people that you REALLY want taking care of your woodworking needs at your house! They show pride in their work and work VERY hard and diligently to make sure that the finished product is not only beautiful, BUT also to code! I e-mail'd them the sketch, they gave me a quote, guy shows up and charges me $150 for saying the quote's not valid; stupidly I allow them to come back after assurances from the "boss", only to find out after the callback that they charged my CC without my approval!] Would never again consider them ... not even to clean out a birdhouse. Be skeptical of the reviews which claim they were less expensive than others [unless it's a neurosurgeon]. In summary, I'll not longer use Yelp.

My wife and I recently worked with Clark County General Contracting to repair our bathroom after…read morediscovering water damage. Darrell, the owner, and his worker Nate were fantastic from start to finish. We originally noticed a bump in the bathroom floor that turned out to be a moisture issue. A mitigation company came in to remove the damaged flooring and toilet and dry everything out. After that, we started collecting quotes from contractors--and chose Darrell because he was by far the most straightforward and transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave us a fair quote, and didn't sugarcoat anything. Once we agreed to move forward, Darrell even handled communication with our insurance company and got the project covered. That alone was a huge help. The work itself turned out great. Darrell and Nate installed new subflooring, laminate that we picked out, and new baseboards. After the job was done, we did notice a couple of minor issues--one with the baseboard seal and another with the threshold transition that my wife wasn't happy with. Darrell came back out promptly and made sure both were addressed to our satisfaction. I've included some photos of the bathroom after mitigation and the finished result--the difference speaks for itself. Great company, easy to work with, and reliable. We're already considering another bathroom remodel, and we'll absolutely be going with Darrell again.

That and our comfort with Darrell made our choice easy. We made some big changes to our second story deck, so it took some time for a structural engineer to get plans in place but, the final product was well worth the wait. Darrell and Ed worked to make sure our deck was sturdy and well built. We now have an extended deck with awning that actually comes from above the roof line. The difference is night and day and we are thrilled with our new deck!

They refuse to replace saying manufacture defect. Other stabilizing boards cracked as well and I've been told company can't be responsible for quality of wood. They will not provide receipt of payment in full as well. 7 days after completion they will not fix even though I have 12 months in contract. They also refuse to provide a receipt of payment. Very sad I really trusted what they said about their quality.
