I gotta say. This is one of the best coffee places I have been to. So much better than Starbucks. The service never disappoints, and the atmosphere is so chill. Coffee is delicious and I can't get enough of this place.

Grounded in a cute small coffee shop in downtown Willimantic! Staff is always friendly and warm. The hot caramel latte is worth a try! It's for sure my go-to drink at the shop! Bagel options are unique and delicious. You'll find some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating options on the back patio area.

Hidden in a 1800s house in downtown Windham (Willimantic), Common Grounds is a serious coffee shop. They don't offer a little bit of everything to everyone. They are serious coffee drinkers offering just a handful of carefully curated light food. I met a client there the other day and ordered breakfast and an espresso. The espresso was provided with a side of seltzer. This is the classic preparation and it made a great espresso even better.The poached egg on a fresh bagel with tasty greens and a spicy spread was an excellent complement. The shop in a historic building is decorated in a modern fashion which contrasts the hewn floors. In the back, a sizeable yard includes several picnic benches to enjoy your coffee and breakfast. The frog watches over the shop and its patrons.

I was in Connecticut for a wedding and found this place when I was craving a morning coffee. They open early in the morning and have the oat milk as an option for an add cost. So that's a plus for anyone who is lactose sensitive or vegan. We also tried their bagel sandwiches which was great. I really liked their Prosciutto bagel sandwich.

Finally tried this local coffee place. It's such a cute building and I am so glad I went. The girls inside were so kind and helpful. They recommended a honey latte and their drip coffee. I got a small of each and they were so good. I highly recommend coming to this place. So glad it's close to my house and can g wait to go back! I miss having Starbucks nearby but this is even better.

I just moved to Willimantic and have already been here twice. I love this place. The first time I tried their (fairly large) croissants, which were so buttery and flaky. Definitely worth the cheat meal. They toasted it so it was nice and warm, which made the butter taste stand out even more. The next time, I had an everything bagel with prosciutto, cream cheese, greens, and pickled onions, which I thought was a really delicious combo. I wish the bagel was a little larger/denser, but it was still good nonetheless. The shop has a cute atmosphere and I love the outdoor sitting area. Definitely is a nice place for a Saturday coffee date.

I was craving an oat milk latte and this hipster place is the only place that could deliver ;) I stopped in for my first time over the winter and had a hot oat milk latte after never having seen oat milk on a coffee menu before. Try it. It's like a drink that is also giving you a hug. Since that visit I have only seen oat milk at 2 other places-- one in Philly and one in NYC. Willimantic is hip. I went back recently to do some work (hello free wifi!) and have that hug drink again, but this time iced. Served with a stainless steel straw, too, so you can feel like the environment AND your drink are hugging you! Also opted for the delicious sesame seed bagel sandwich, highly recommend. I'll be back-- especially when I need that oat milk latte.

On my pursuit of a cute coffee shop, I found this one not too far from campus. It's a cute, trendy, modern, yet rustic looking coffee shop. I mean there was a cowboy there.... can't get more rustic can you? I think because of how small it was, it's more of a quick stop rather than sit in place - for me at least. The iced coffee was overall pretty good, I was hoping for more matcha flavor in my drink but I definitely enjoyed it. I'd probably get the mocha iced coffee next time because my sister loved hers. The guy working there was nice and helpful with any questions about our orders. They use cute metal straws so for all my environmental peeps, that should be enough to make you stop by haha. It's definitely a place you should try if you haven't. The prices are typical coffee shop prices, pretty fair. Gave it 5 stars but it's more of a 4.5, will revisit.

Hidden gem!!! I've never heard or seen this place and one day had a coffee craving. Stopped in, was immediately taken care of and greeted by Tony. Speedy, and super friendly!! Our coffees were to perfection, and our prosciutto sandwich was sooooo good. We almost went back for another. We sat outside at a picnic table and enjoyed the sun. What a pleasant experience, we will definitely be back. Thanks tony! read more

Definitely had a city feel to it, but the selections of whole bean coffees were limited. In fact, I found they didn't roast at all (my fault, I had assumed they were a coffee roaster!) but the beans were definitely fresh (roasted in New York). There was nothing which was dark roasted, as I prefer, but the espresso shot they made me was good. The beans I took home were 1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular espresso (I think the decaf was a light roasted Sumatra and the caffeinated was a Colombian, but I could be wrong. Please correct me if the baristas are reading this). It seemed like a great little shop to stop in, check your emails and have a cup if you like lighter, flavorful coffees. read more

This is exactly what Willimantic needed. I walked in the door and I immediately was transported to Sweden. The vibe inside is super clean and white and simple with wood and it's beautiful. Awesome coffee shop in downtown Willimantic. It's aesthetics are gorgeous - exposed brick and live edge countertops and mantles. Great place to grab some coffee or tea and read a book or do some work. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the service was quick. Will definitely be back. read more

The girl here was super super sweet to me as she saw me looking completely lost at the little menu on the wall. The only non-dairy milk they have is oat milk, which was pretty good but to be completely honest I wish I had they had more options. They only had one type of sugar (I think it was coconut sugar) and simple syrup. However they do genuinely care about the quality of stuff they sell, and the coffee was yummmmmmy. Super cute inside, good amount of seating, casual, not crowded. It's definitely somewhere local where they care about their customers and community, and treat you like a person and not just like a whatever customer. Will be back to try more! read more

Grounded coffee co was by far one of the worst coffee shops I've ever visited. It was extremely overpriced ($4.25 for a 10 oz iced latte) and the employee taking our order put it in incorrectly. The barista proceeded to sass us when we tried to explain what was wrong about the order. I will not be returning to this coffee shop and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

Best coffee in town and amazing service. The staff is super knowledgeable and true masters of their craft. If you are an avid espresso drinker then be ready to have your mind blown! They measure the input of grounds to the output of pour to guarantee a perfectly balanced, creamy and aromatic shot. I'd give them a thousand stars if it was possible. read more

Nick brews phenomenal coffee, drawing from a variety of high quality east-coast roasters. The environment is cozy and hip, with ample lighting for studying (but not so much to feel sterile). Grounded fills a niche which was missing in this part of Connecticut. I wish them good business for years to come. read more

Hands down some of the best coffee I have ever had. I personally love getting the honey latte. I normally drink my coffee black or with whole milk. The honey latte though has just the right amount of sweetness and it is just perfect. Whoever you place your order with is friendly and helpful, it's a very welcoming place. read more

I go here once a week or more, and I've never been disappointed! The baked goods and bagels are always very fresh, and the coffee is reasonably priced for such good quality. I enjoy trying the seasonal items, such as this past summer's lemonade. The baristas are friendly and the service is quick. This place is the best coffee shop to exist in CT. if you enjoy coffee in its purest form, black, you'll enjoy the sweet fruity flavor of the coffee. No excess needed. Baristas are very knowledgeable on coffee & roasting and aren't afraid to give really helpful recommendations. Wish I lived closer, I'd go bankrupt lol!! read more

The iced honey latte with almond milk was delicioussssss. Such a cute coffee shop the owners were beyond nice. Skip Dunkin' Donuts and come have real coffee, that stuff is poisonous and processed syrup anyways. Yummylicious coffee . You will not be disappointed read more

The store is pretty large with an oversized bakery display case showing off their classic bakery goods - think gorgeous cakes, pastries, and cookies. And to make your visit even more worthwhile is a restaurant with a sweet breakfast and lunch menu. We visited yesterday and had a very nice breakfast in their large dining room. There is plenty of seating and plenty of parking too. I had a Veggie Breakfast Burrito ($10.50) with sauteed onions, peppers, spinach, grilled portobello mushrooms, American cheese, and diced tomatoes on a spinach tortilla, It was excellent and the size of that burrito made it a decent value for the price. My wife had a $7.49 Ham, Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich with an additional $1 bagel surcharge. It was a big bagel, and as you can see from our photo, there were three big ham slices included. Very good coffees were $3.59 each. On the way out, those gorgeous pastries in the showcase whispered sweet nothings in my ear, and helpless to resist, we ordered an Apple Pocket ($2.99) and a Chocolate Croissant ($3.25). How reasonable are those prices? We also saw that Marlborough has a refrigerated case with Grab and Go meals and stuffed breads. They are open from 6AM - 6PM on weekdays and 6AM - 3PM on weekends. We are now fans.

I've always wished for a coffee shop just like this for the entire time I've lived in this city. The staff is so friendly and their coffee is so good. I also love their bakery items and I've tried the quiche as well. Normally I don't really eat quiche but I was willing to try it and I was not disappointed, definitely surprised I liked it so much! This is where you go to get a really really really good cup of coffee. They get beans from all sorts of really cool companies I've never heard of. They introduced me to an oat milk latte which is the most amazing thing. They have Icelandic yogurt and kombucha and coffee, its seriously the best place to grab yourself a nice lunch break pick me up. I knew nothing about coffee before Grounded...
