I went in on June 6 2026. It was my grandsons birthday and he wanted to eat there for his birthday. What I thought was going to be a good day ended up to be ugly and racist. The waiter's that took my order was not nice she treated me like I was stupid thinking I didn't know what a blt was. We were looking at the Prices very reasonable come to find out I was double of what the menu said. I would never go in that place again I was charged 100 for a simple lunch for four people. I would like to say my blt was made with salami a piece of lettuce and a tomato and charge over what the menu price. It really bothers me that I didn't say anything earlier and that I tip this person but I realized that I didn't want to ruin my grandsons birthday. Love that this place is in an old diner car. They have old fashioned car shows here Apparently, they moved the entire diner from its original location, which is pretty cool. Stopped here for breakfast on our way to run errands on a Sunday morning. We've driven by many times and thought it's always looked like a cute spot for breakfast. We were right! Stopped here for breakfast and was somewhat nervous as there was only 1 other customer there at 8am. It's a very clean place with a friendly waitress who served us. Started to read the reviews on Yelp after we sat down and got a little nervous with some bad reviews. However I believe all the bad reviews were lunch or dinner reviews. For me our breakfast was fantastic! Excellent xcheese & sausage omelette along with great hash browns and thick rye toast..... Delicious! My wife's veggie omelette was good too. My only two issues are the price, $25.99 for the two omelets with coffee...with tip, your at $30 and the other issue is the Omelets were a little small. Other than those two issues, I'm coming back if in the area. May not try lunch or dinner based on some of the reviews but for breakfast, I highly recommend it. read more

Found myself near Windham, ct so tried this diner out. They have a variety of sodas from the fountain which was great, enjoyed my birch beer. It was a Sunday night so not very crowded. There is a back room in addition to what you see in the pics. I got one of the specials, sirloin steak sandwich w/ blue cheese and hand cut fries. Also got an extra thick chocolate shake. Steak was cooked as ordered, on a warm toasted kaiser roll with a good amount of blue cheese and the hand-cut fries. Everything was delicious, and the extra thick shake was amazing. First off let me start with I really want to like this place. The past two times we went here recently were absolutely horrible food. My wife ordered a Philly Steak and Cheese with no onions. Our food came after about 20 minutes not really busy. When it finally came it was so burned the steak and cheese were black and un edible. They brought another steak and cheese out this time the steak was totally burnt and the cheese wasn't melted and the French fries were uncooked. The person next to us had to send hers back as well and at least 3 others. My three egg omelette barely 2 and was so thin I had a tough time trying to pick it up. The sausage was so over cooked as well and my toast was like it was soaked in water. Both the waitresses here are absolutely awesome we felt bad for both of them. They took care of both our meals and I tipped them $10. I heard from one of the other customers that it was the owner cooking. I think he should stay away from the grill he does not belong cooking anything. If he finds a good cook this place will be a gold mine! If he keeps doing it his was the he will not last another month. As I said before the wait staff and the ambiance are awesome!!! Please do the right thing and hire a good short order cook. Our biggest concern here is if he is burning food and sending food out this bad, what is he hiding with what's maybe expired food. The food was good, but the service was lackluster. My wife's drink was never refilled or asked if she wanted more. I had to initiate and ask if I wanted anything, and when I asked for jelly for my toast, I never received any. Our waiter was too busy wanting to play with a dog and feed it bacon than check on her customers. We normally tip a minimum of 25-50% of our bill, but this service only deserved 5%; and I'm not sure that I'll be a return customer. read more

Coming here a couple of times to enjoy their country fried steak for breakfast you'll enjoy a full meal while taking in the diner feel. We were looking for a place for lunch and happened upon this diner. There was not a lot of parking available even though the restaurant was not close to being full. Most of the other diners were having breakfast which looked good, but we decided to order a turkey club using wheat toast and added sweet potatoes. The club was good sized and all the ingredients were fresh. The previously frozen sweet potatoes could have used a minute longer in the fryer but otherwise were pretty good. I have been driving past this place for years, but I love diners so I decided to try it for lunch with my brother. The interior is very clean and has a gorgeous retro feel. When we walked in, the waitress was cleaning the menus. It was nice to see how clean they keep the place. We both ordered an aero cheeseburger with grilled onions and split an order of chili cheese fries. The food came out fairly quickly but it was pretty much what you would expect from a diner. Good but nothing too special. The waitress was friendly, the diner was very clean, and the food was okay (a bit overpriced for the quality in my opinion.) What's not to love -- at least if you love old diners? Except maybe the wait on a Saturday morning. The Aero is a good old fashioned diner. One of these silver train-car style diners with some extra dining space tacked onto the back. The servers are always friendly, the prices are reasonable, the portions are ample...and the food just makes you feel like home. Good, solid diner food. On my last visit, I ordered a burger that wasn't on the menu...I just created something that I wanted, what I thought was a simple patty melt with swiss, mushrooms and grilled onions on grilled rye. My server was actually excited about it when she brought me my order..."Wow! That looks great! I want one!" (It was delicious, and too big to finish!). When she brought my check, she told me she talked to the manager about adding it onto their "Specials" menu. Perhaps one of the best aspects of Aero is breakfast. There is something special about having a good hearty breakfast in one of those old fifties dining cars. And the Aero doesn't disappoint. Their home-made corned beef hash is the real deal. I've been to plenty of diners who claim "home-made," when you can tell it's just a #10 can of Sysco hash with some extra stuff thrown into the mix. Not here. Chunks of real corned beef and potatoes...as good as it gets. What is particularly appealing is that you can get pretty much anything, any time of day. If you want breakfast at 3:00 pm, go for it. And if you don't want eggs and bacon at 9:00 am, order a burger. They'll make it for you. If I have any complaints (I really don't) it is that the service tends to be slow. Not the front-end, they're all very attentive and friendly. But the kitchen seems to get backed up, especially on a busy Saturday morning. Nothing serious, but be prepared for a leisurely breakfast. Thumbs up. I originally had given the Aero three stars, but as I re-read my review I realized...hey, why only three? No, it is not a place for fine dining. My boyfriend and I went here a couple weeks ago after I noticed it after shopping at walmart. I was pretty excited because I love diners and was in the mood for a good hamburger and french fries. When we got there is was pretty deserted and only one other family was there. It's to bad because it has a neat history and definitely has more potential then what they are. I got a cheeseburger (medium) hand cut French fries, and a chocolate milkshake. The cheeseburger actually came out medium rare but luckily I didn't mind because I was thinking about ordering it that way anyways. The chocolate milkshake was pretty good but nothing fantastic but my favorite were the french fries. I am definitely a french fry connoisseur and hand cut fries are always great. The classic, Streamline-style diner always wins my heart. The boyfriend and I had driven past this place many, many times, as we frequent the Wal-Mart across the street for groceries and what have you, and we even tried to go once, but they were closed (it was late, on a Monday, maybe a holiday? The place was modestly full with families and people, so the girl at the counter directed us to the back room. We plopped down at a classic 50s-style booth, and the server came pretty promptly to take our drink orders. Of course, being us, we went for water. Now, diner water always tastes like ... well ... well water. It wasn't great, but what can you do? I ordered the Burger with Fries and the boyfriend got an Omelet with a Bagel and Fries, but you can read his review for his experience. Now, the gal asked how I wanted my burger cooked, and as is my way, I requested it Medium Rare. I saw that the fries were hand-cut, and was hopeful for some Inn N Out-style goods. The food came pretty promptly, and it looked darn good. So imagine my dismay when I bit into the burger and discovered that it was cooked well done. Not a spot of pink in the meat. I mean, it was juicy, but the juice was grease for the most part, and it soaked the bottom bun, making it a messy nosh. The fries, on the other hand, were delicious. I'm not sure if they were hand-cut at the restaurant or just purchased that way, but they definitely fit the bill of delicious fries. Overall, it was a decent dining experience. I have driven by this diner many times, however I have never been inside of it before. Normally once a week me and the girlfriend go to the Wal-Mart across the street to do our grocery shopping as well as picking up other misc goods. Typically we eat at the Ruby Tuesdays at in the Wal-Mart parking lot, however today we decided to try the diner. I was quiet shocked at how much I actually enjoyed it. From the outside it looks small and not great, but once you walk through those doors your feelings completely change. Surprisingly for about 1:15 in the afternoon on a Thursday the place was pretty packed. They had the back room blocked off, but since the front was full they sat us back there anyway. Our waitress quickly came over to take our drink order and was extremely friendly. I decided to go with my staple of diner food, an omelet with french fries (since you never know what to expect with home fries, everywhere is different), and a bagel instead of my toast. At first I wondered if there was cheese inside of the omelet since the outside was covered in it too, but much to my happiness indeed there was. My second surprise was when I looked at my french fries. They were clearly hand cut. Apparently the girlfriend had noticed this in the menu, but since I was just ordering eggs I hadn't even cracked it open. My third surprise came when the check arrived, and the only thing keeping this at a 4 star review. I knew there probably would be an extra charge for egg whites (which there was, $1), however without her telling me, there also was an extra charge for the bagel. Typically when you ask for a substitution that would cost more the waitress gives you the heads up. Granted it was only 55 cents, but a heads up is always appreciated. I love Aero Diner. One time I had a craving for cinnamon raisin toast and a side of pork link sausages. The car moved as if on automatic pilot. As I drove there I thought 'I know I've had the sausage and one of either cinnamon or raisin toast, but I'm not sure.' When I rolled in and asked "Do you have cinnamon raisin toast?" the waitress "Yes we do!" I go "YES!" - I had hit the cinnamon / raisin toast / sausage trifecta. I then collapsed with tears of joy on the stool between myself and a couple eating next to me at the counter and everybody cracked up laughing including the waitress and the owner / manager. She said "Wow, I wish all my customers were so easy to please!" all the wait staff started laughing. Excellent food served by people that have fun while they serve the food to appreciative customers.
