Thrilled to have such scrumptious food so close to home. Ground is my new favorite comfort food. Unlike my husband who is a big fan of there burgers, ground has an abundant amount of menu items without red meat if that's not your thing like me. The first time I went I had the not your average BLT which was delicious and following there fried chicken sandwich. They have an assortment of homemade dipping sauces to pair with there crispy fries that you can nacho style as well. Can IPA beer and delicious cookies as well. The burgers are fantastic, they give you more fries than you could want (and they're amazing), and the guys in there are super nice and helpful. They have tons of great sauces too. We prefer the West Main Street location to the Cool Springs one, but the food is the same. We like the atmosphere better there and don't feel like we smell like burgers when we leave. This is a pretty low key casual burger joint. For being in Franklin, it doesn't have that trendy feel as the other spots do-that's a good thing. Fairly priced for an above average burger. Fresh, made to order burger. I ordered the Pioneer Burger. A standard cheese burger with the usual toppings. The bun and toppings overpowered the burger because one patty wasn't enough. Get a double. To be fair, the folks who ordered specialty burgers. Those looked pretty incredible. The bonus would be the sides. The portion sizes are large and they are fantastic. I had the fried pickles and tried the sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. The staff are very courteous. That alone is worth 4 stars. It's not the best I've had but not the worst. It would return with a doubt. I would take folks there to beat the crowds of downtown Franklin. Do not let my 4 star sway you from going. You will not be disappointed. read more

Was searching for a great local place and it certainly delivered! Amazing burger full of flavor and quality. Every bite was exactly what I wanted. I got the Bacon Mushroom Swiss burger and it was delicious. I went with the spud on the side and it was great. Good size and made to my taste. I absolutely recommend this place. I can't say enough great things about this place. The staff is so friendly, engaging, and welcoming. And the food! My gosh, y'all! The food is amazing! My husband had a burger and fries and I had the Cajun chicken tenders with a sweet potato. Both dishes were beyond delicious! This may sound like hyperbole but the burger I had at Ground was the best burger I've had in my 12 years of living in the Nashville area. My conclusion was drawn on the following criteria: 1) Serving size. They do not skimp on the burger patties or fries. This was a plate of food. I was able to finish it but just barely. Most people would not have finished this dish. 2) Quality and Presentation. The toppings are of high quality and plentiful. I had bacon, mushrooms, onions, and a few other toppings, The fries are not your run of the mill fast food type fries. These are fresh cut and well seasoned. My plate looked like it was a photoshoot for a commercial. 3) Taste. Amazing. Couldn't stop chowing down. Not much else to say here. 4) Price. I had a double burger that was priced at $14. Considering the size of it and the amount of fries it came with, this could easily be priced at $16-$19. Some of you may think that is too much for a burger. However, consider getting a burger at a sit-down restaurant. It will not be nearly this quality or size and after tax, tip, etc. you will pay over $20. My final after a drink, tax, and gratuity was just over $19. That's well priced for a craft burger establishment plus you are supporting local small business. I highly suggest eating here. Just save up a few extra calories beforehand. read more

TL;DR... Pros: portion, value, fries Cons: long wait, burger patty, lack of AC My wife and I went to the West Franklin location on our normal Friday date night. During the pandemic, this is something that we have grown to cherish even more with shut downs and other things. I had heard good things and was excited to try it out - after all, who doesn't love the taste of a good burger? The restaurant is small and it was definitely warm inside. I read some of the other reviews talking about adding another AC unit, but I imagine COVID may have put the damper on that. Service was quick and pleasant at the counter. I could see how it might be intimidating as the guy was definitely quick-speaking but everything came out correctly. The main problem is that it came out more than 20 minutes after we ordered, a fact we were uncomfortably aware of since the room was warmer than desired. The burger was fine. Given all the glowing reviews, I'd say it was underwhelming. The patty itself was sufficiently cooked but it had the texture and bite of a sausage patty rather than a burger. This is probably just my preference but I prefer a burger patty to have a little bite but not so much that I feel a little bit of a "snap". This problem was amplified for me because I got a double. The toppings and bun we all good. No complaints there. The fries were cooked super well! Loved them. However they were seasoned a little heavily. I appreciate having the cracked pepper as a part of the seasoning, but it could maybe be toned down a little. I'm not ready to write it off entirely. I want to try the main location as sometimes quality diminishes in expansion locations. For me, it's two stars. It wasn't the worst but I would say it was definitely not quite average. read more

So happy to have another Ground location closer to us. Great people and friendly just like the other location as well. Food was great. We did all notice the size of hamburger is smaller then Coolsprings location. It's definitely I thinner patty. Though that's not a problem being we all still left there very full. Fries are great as well and perfectly seasoned. The only reason not 5 stars was the music. It was sooo loud we could not have a conversation at our table. Maybe this is to drown out the kitchen noise but I'd rather hear sizzling burgers and be able to talk with friends and family then constantly being saying "huh" and "what" bc I cant hear them. But yes we will be back. Edit: ok within a couple hours of posting this review Ground msgd me. They are working on the music issue and how loud it is in the restaurant. Regrettably, I won't be returning after three visits here...When you pay $13.70 for a burger, fries and beverage, you expect a "build to order" burger done the way you spec'd it. Alas, that's twice now they've missed big-time on my (simple) order - seemingly due to a failure of communication between the order taker and the cook. Preparation takes a while (not fast food) so if they mess up your order, you're in for an even longer wait. My wife had told me she wouldn't go back there with me (peeved over price/value) and now its both of us who won't return. Bummer. read more

Let me start by saying the burgers here are great. However, I typically order online and the food is NEVER ready when I arrive. I typically wait 10 to 15 minutes after arriving for my food to get done. What is the point of ordering online if you have to wait the amount of time that you'd have to wait if you just ordered in the restaurant. I usually wait between 20 to 30 minutes before I even head over there to pick up my order and still have to wait 10 to 15 minutes. read more

1st off the French fries and sweet potato fries are amazing. The hamburger is delicious, they start with a toasted buttered bun this burger will absolutely melt in your mouth. They serve milkshakes and they have some craft beers in bottles. Definitely recommend the Abita beer and they have Benton's bacon which is a great addition to any burger. read more
