we waited a hour and 30 minutes for food and then the food came and it was dry and cold would never come back

Sat outside for 20 minutes after they said they were on the way out with my order. Nobody ever came out to get me my curbside order. Had to go in once I was tired of waiting and saw my order sitting there clear as day getting cold, the people couldn't be bothered to bring it out. Tried this location in Houma as we wanted a good burger. Was not disappointed in the food....they also serve peanuts salted in the shell for an appetizer. Service was excellent and server was very friendly providing updates on recent changes since last hurricane. The dining area was clean although only a few tables were in use. read more

I debated on writing this review but it needs to be said. A bunch of work buddies and I went to Ground Pati on our lunch on Tuesday. It was awesome. The server was awesome, the food was hot and out in a timely manner.. I mean to see people working together like a well oiled machine: It a was my first time at Ground Pati let me add. I went home raving about it to my wife and kids and told them they had to try it. So we went back last night and it was a total slap in the face. Everything I said and was raving about made me look like a complete liar. First off it was a total different atmosphere- the servers were not as welcoming and attentive. The food didn't look or taste the me same. it was like it was a total different place: I'm disappointed. I can't say I won't return but it will never be at night. read more

This Place has been around forever. It has had it's ups and downs on various menu items such as the fried veggie basket, which use to be a real basket full with a big variety of veggies but now is only about a half basket with maybe 3 items. Would be better taken off the menu all together and not dampen the memory of what was or feel shorted. This said... the burgers are some of the best offered in the area. Not fast food type but a real burger and at a much lower price than others near by. Like wise the hamburger steak is another great choice. The salad selection has a wide variety all of which are very tasty. Adding a little to my review with great sadness.... The above was all about dinning in. 2 days later I had family visiting and offered an evening meal of burgers from my new favorite place. Wellllll, all I can say is don't do it. It was almost like I had picked up from a completely different restaurant. 5 orders and 4 were wrong, actually the entire order followed the one simple one. Burger plain... the two fully dressed apple wood bacon cheese burgers, the fully dressed cheese burger and the fully dressed hamburger allllll became Burger plain... undoubtedly the pick up service just gets what it gets, because as I saw on another few reviews before mines... you pick up and are gone, no one wants to drive all the way back.... Not sure of my next visit, feeling cheated and a bit embarrassed after bragging really my family. Had to drop my rating from 4 to 2. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in the area. I definite recommend this old rams wish I could open one back home. The meat is very yummy and juicy. Tastes like your eating a steak in burger form. The cheddar cheese is shredded. The burgers here are good cause they have great meat which is key. They don't have any special sauces. They provide ketchup, mustard and mayo. As you wait they also give you shelled peanuts. Staff is also nice. Peking is provided. I know this place has been here for a while but it is no longer under the management of the original owner so I have been told. The only issue I have with this place is consistency. read more

Love this place! I eat here almost weekly. I have tried almost everything on the menu with much satisfaction. Their burgers are always flavored perfect and juicy. This is the only place I will eat a hamburger. Their steaks are also delish. On a diet...no problem. They have wonderful salads and a great low cal menu. An added bonus is their servers. These ladies are always polite, smiling, and quick to refill your drink and remove your empty plate. Definitely a place I would recommend to try. read more

Burgers are good and sides are good time. Only problem is if you order the burger well done, it comes out very dry and practically burnt.

I gave them too much credit with one star. The Ground Pati was one of they worst places that I have ever gone to eat! My burger was cooked over well (ordered medium) so I sent it back. By the time I received my burger, my date was finished eating and the burger was again over well. The service was terrible. I left hungry and it still cost me $30.00! I highly suggest you find a different place to eat. McDonald's has a better burger and it's not nearly as costly. read more

Was in the mood for a good traditional American burger and this place delivered it. If you're looking for a decent burger joint, this is a pretty amazing place to start. Last time I ate here, I was younger. It seems the same since the last time I saw it; however the Chicken Cordon Bleu used to be my favorite thing to get, sad to see they no longer serve it here. foods is good, but way overpriced for what you get especially in this town. its to easy to get a good homemade burger, steak, or seafood platters to pay their price. also most places in this area you get two side with your meal. here you get one some you get a salad as well. if you don't want the salad and get another side you get charged an up charge. read more

*DISCLAIMER* THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON MY LAST TIME AT GROUND PATI. ROUGHLY TWO OR THREE YEARS AGO. When I went to GP I had ordered the rib and brisket combo. The ribs were obviously boiled. This causes the meat to lose moisture and flavor. Then they were basically covered in a cheap sauce. Any flavoring on my ribs was from the sauce. No rub or smoke. Just sauce. Same went for the paper thin slices of frozen brisket that reminded me of school cafeteria meat. When brisket is sliced so thin. It's a way the Pitmaster can fake out an undercooked/tough brisket to the customer. This was again. Soaked in that same sauce as the ribs. Not to mention it was all kinda lukewarm. Fries were good tho. Overall. Not great. read more

I love there Ground Pati burger and have been a loyal customer since the 80s but a few years ago a new owner stepped in and things went south as far as customer care And service is concerned. I dined there about twice a week. I eat a double burger, no cheese only pickles. After ordering my usual my waitress who knows me as a regular says "the new owner wants us to charge 40 cents for extra pickle spears" I laughed and said I'm only asking for one extra so I think you can let that slide. She comes back a few minutes later with the manger and the manger says sorry but the new owner is TIGHT and we have to charge you. At that point I told her to cancel my entire families order because we were going to dine in a restaurant that values my business over a single pickle spear. She didn't even respond. She just turned her back and walked away. The waitress was standing there with her mouth hanging open. She knows I am a good tipper and when.we walked so did here usual $9-10 tip over a pickle. And right as we were getting up our fried crab claw appetizer was coming out. Oh well there loss. read more

I can find better places for my kids and I to spend an hour. 45 min to get a hamburger and corn dog bites. 2 tables near us came after us and got served before us. Finally got food no drinks. We did not eat had to walk back to register to ask for bill then a manager wants to fill our drinks. Sorry but an hour too late. Have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. But ordered Burgers for curbside pick up. We've done this before...but this time the burgers were awful. They were very burnt...not a little...and dry...very dray. We called and complained but all they offered to do was make some more. What about the time of going back. They wouldn't even give us our money back cause of company policy...Instead gave a gift card. My husband asked...what, for more burnt burgers. We've been there twice last month.
