    Kids play area

Perfect spot for kiddos to play. The play area is far enough from the parking lot & sitting is right next to the playground. The food was also delicious!

I went here with some friends on a Tuesday afternoon. The overall experience was pretty good! The restaurant was kinda busy, but there was no wait. Just the perfect amount. Our waitress was really good, regularly checking in and giving updates on the time till our food was ready. The food itself was decent. It wasn't the best gumbo I've ever had but it was still pretty good! It had some nice flavor and it was a great amount for the price. It didn't stand out but I'd get it again. I got a bowl and it left me very full. The restaurant was decorated nicely, I liked the nautical/ seafood theme. It was also kinda nice to have paper towels at each table, but I wish we would've gotten the full silverwear and napkin combo. Overall, i had a good experience here. I'd probably go back and get the gumbo again

A messy bar where they are mixing everything.

The ambiance was busy and the servers were very nice. The downside was the food. It was not great. The duck strips were dry and just didn't taste that good. The chargrilled oysters were okay. I was expecting better taste being so close to the gulf. The bar was like a watching the beginning of an episode of Bar Rescue before Jon Taffer shows up. It's organized chaos! They mix everything on one side of the bar. It's a free far all, any server comes and battles to squeeze in and mix drinks for their customers. Nothing is labeled. It's all in colors that only the two actual bartenders know what's in them. So they are constantly telling the servers which is which. Then, they were substituting spirits on different drinks and even some ingredients. Based on the opinion of the bartender. The timing of the pours differed from server to server. There is no way possible you are getting a drink made identical from one server to the next. Then, look at the picture! You've got a hot mess of various things on the back of the bar. Notes taped on the wall where the customers can see and read. There's a POS that went untouched the entire time I was there. Look, these people were sweet as can be! I felt for them! They need a system! There is so much potential!

12/13/22 My intention is to come back and try some other things because I was seriously underwhelmed by their blackened redfish which was overcooked. My dogs and cat really liked it though. However, shimmering had recommended it and I know that I was running this risk with what I ordered, so to be fair I have to return. The onion rings were the teeny ones and they were yummy but too greasy. But I took them home, popped them in the air fryer and they were then perfection. I got the Holiday White Russian and it was too sweet. But that's my fault- I know White Russians are sweet as in a BIG DUH! 1/22/23 I came back ands ordered crawfish and fried okra and I was store happy. The crawfish were great, spicy and flavorful. There okay was perfect and not greasy. I also got a beer but well, that's always right, right?

    Fried chicken. Awesome!!!

Awesome food and great service!!! Will definitely go back when out there again!! Gumbo rocked, potato salad was supreme, fried cauliflower was scrumptious, and the chicken was insanely good.

Get ready to let the good times roll when you walk through the door, the sign above the counter…read moresays "Welcome to Cajun Paradise, I'm with couyon" being born and raised in southwest Louisiana I can definitely get the meaning in the correct context, I can also recognize authentic Cajun cooking when it's put down in front of me and mais sha let me tell you these folks are doing it proud. We stopped in here for lunch and ended up with a sampling of what in my opinion is probably the best example of cajun food done right in Houma and for miles around - everything was delicious and the service from Sarah L was outstanding. We started with the Charbroiled Oysters served with toasted french bread, the plump Louisiana oysters were succulent and dipping the french bread in the cajun butter became an obsession, definitely a must do starter - I wasn't leaving here without trying their chicken and sausage gumbo, perfect texture and complex flavors it will make you a believer, my hats off to the chef, definitely authentic - the fried catfish filets and jumbo fried shrimp platters were outstanding although we didn't do it these are the foundation of an amazing po-boy (maybe next time) - all the sides were exceptional from the fried okra and onion rings to my personal favorite the skillet fried potatoes and who could leave without a few beignets served hot covered in powdered sugar - what a meal they should have a place to lay down in the back for a "cajun nap". In my opinion if you craving some authentic cajun dishes you can't go wrong here, the portions are nice and the prices are very reasonable. Our schedule didn't allow us to return as we had planned but will definitely return when we are back in the area...
