Multiple times I've had to unfortunately come here to get very last minute stuff and they close 15 minutes early. How annoying and the employees are rude rude here. This is my new favorite grocery store! Get on the email list, so you get specials and the weekly ad prices in your email. I come for the advertised specials, but I always find additional deals by going down every aisle. My favorite sections are the frozen foods, where I get the items I would normally buy at the chain stores but for a lot less, and the dairy and meat, where I find brands and items I can't find anywhere. I never know what treasures I will find, and I'm always double-checking my receipts because the total always seems too low. read more

It sucked honestly I went into the store one time while using my Walker and had my reusable bags with me grabbed a basket and went shopping spent almost $20 that was on 9/3/25 when I on 9/25/25 and got told I stole from the store last time I was there the last time I was there was on the 3rd of September when asked if he had it on video he said yes but when me and my husband asked to see the video he told us no and said if we didn't leave he would call the cops honestly should have let him call the cops because I would love to see the video of me allegedly stealing when the whole time I was shopping I had my phone on video call with my husband and grabbed what else needed and looked at the Halloween decorations they had checked out and left so I think someone needs to look into this store I don't think the manager likes handicap people in the store read more

This Grocery Outlet location is by far our favorite grocery store. We buy at least 80% of our groceries there. They don't stock every type of item a regular grocery store always carries, otherwise this would be our only store. We love bargain hunting, so it's a joy to look up and down all the aisles in search of the extra-great deals which change each day. They sell organic items and expensive brand names at a tiny fraction of the price of other stores. Sometimes the low price is because the item is nearing its expiration date, or sometimes it's because the manufacturer has changed packaging and these were the previous batch. Be sure to check the clearance rack at the back corner of the store for the very best deals. They also carry some great-priced housewares, toys, clothes, shoes/slippers, and garden items. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the store is always spotlessly clean. Grocery Outlet offers coupons every so often in their weekly email flyer and app. Highly recommended for budget shoppers and bargain hunters! read more

I love Grocery Outlet stores, but this one is not as good. The smell of rotten food was so bad, the whole store smelled horrible. The carts are so old and dirty, they bought used ones that are dirty and they do not provide cart wipes. Product selection is not so good, either. Cashier was friendly, though. read more

A nice and new Grocery Outlet. Good size. Plenty of space (or so I thought until I bumped into a display pushed into the aisle in front of the checkout). Pricing is comparable to other Grocery Outlets. (Some GOs price items items higher then others.) My personal pluses for this location: I could wear my backpack and the restrooms were public. (Most GO locations require backpacks to be checked in and have closed the bathrooms.) read more

Drove all the way over here tonight based on their website (in Apple Maps) saying they're open til 10pm, but when I got here, they were closed. Sign in the window says 9pm closing. I'm sure the store is great, but they need to update their website to show respect for their customers' time and the cost of wasted gas to get here and find them already closed. read more

I've shopped at THE GROCERY OUTLET since the 80s. I was so happy when this Mission store opened. It just is disappointing that it started out so good and now just keeps getting worse. The produce is awful. The selection of products is limited and sometimes there's empty shelves. I took back two different 5 lb bags of carrots, that were more expensive than Smart and Final, that were already rotten. I've seen rotten apples in bags luckily before I bought them. Cheese so brittle it flaked apart when cut. I could go on. I'll go over to the he Vista store now. read more

Im going to start with my positives. I regularly shop this store as it has a great range of items and generally the lines are short, the staff are friendly and there are some great prices on organic and alternative items that's you can't really beat. It's conveniently close to where I live and a welcome addition to the local neighbourhood. The reason for a 2 star review - based upon several times now that I have been overcharged for items with signage showing a lower price (store special) or a markdown. This just happened when I got to checkout, and for once I noticed at checkout instead of realising once I'd already got home. The items I picked up to make a meal for a friend were marked down with a large bright yellow sign to 0.98 from $5.99. I checked and double checked to make sure it was the right items and picked up 3 as the main ingredient for my planned meal. Once I got to checkout I noticed they were ringing up at higher price. I questioned the cashier and she checked with another staff member who said that there weren't anymore left at that price and someone was stocking etc etc and several other excuses that quite frankly, as a customer aren't my problem. I left the items behind as they were out of my budget and purchased at a better price next door. Surprising customers at checkout with misleading signed prices is kinda of a deal breaker for me. The staff were dismissive and verging on rude. Considering there are several other great groceries stores locally, and if you don't want to be double checking prices yourself on every item scanned at checkout - you may want to consider an alternative shopping experience. When they say "something is too good to be true it usually is" that's kind of what you get with this location. I know you can do better grocery outlet!!! read more

This is a great place for special deals. You never know what you might find. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. What I would suggest to the management is to fix the holes in the roof --- I have been in quite a few times when there were buckets catching water from ceiling leaks. Not good for customers, not good for employees --- happens every time it rains. Please fix that, and I will give 5 stars. read more

My Wife and I were shopping in the Grocery Outlet Center. After walking the isles for about 20 minutes, my wife needed to use the restroom. We waited in the rear of the store for about 5 minutes trying to catch any emplyee's eye to no avail. I finally walked up to the checkstand and told the only check out person that we needed someone to unlock the restrooms. After waiting 5 more minutes, i returned to the same checker and told her that no one had come to assist us. She supposedly paged for someone again and we waited ANOTHER 5 MINUTES with no one helping us. My wife was just about having bladder spasms and was understanably quite upset. She then YELLED to the closest employee who was across the store that we needed the restrooms opened immediately and that we had been waiting for 15 minutes. The employee stated that no one had alerted him of our plight. Later, when we checked out with the same check out clerk, she claimed that she paged help for us twice but none of the other employees said that they heard a page. Her attitude was basically that it wasn't her fault or problem. The check out clerk's name was Pamela. My wife then asked to speak to a manager which did not improve Pamela's dispostion. We were told that the manager was with another customer and she would help us after that. Her name was Brandi. As we were waiting for Brandi, my wife told Pamela she would like bags for her grocery's. Pamela basically tossed our groceries to one side as she was ringing us up and she then tossed the bags to my wife for us to bag our own items. We know that the store policy is for the checker to bag the purchaces when the customer purchaces the store bags. After waiting for a couple of minutes for manager Brandi to address our concerns, she finally talked to us. But it was evident that she had been having a social conversation before coming to us.I would expect that Pamela would curtail her conversation in favor of helping out upset customers. She did apologize for our problems but blamed staff shortages and homeless people for locking the bathrooms. She claimed that they have been trying to hire additional people but due to the store location they can't hold onto the help. If things are going that badly for Grocery Outlook/Bargain Market, they ought to close the store and let a real grocery store move in. read more

I was totally surprised by Grocery Outlet on Mission in Oceanside. I am vegan so I go through a lot of fresh produce and it was so nice to find very affordable organic produce at this store. The staff is so nice, the prices very good. I will be going here instead of our local "health food" market from now on. :) The price on nuts was really good too. read more
