But, I've had a few circumstances where I saw something once and didn't see it again. Another key thing is to just buy what you've seen instead of thinking they'll have more later on. One customer's return tied up a cashier, who then took additional time slowly putting items back instead of assisting the long line. Another cashier went on lunch while the line was still backed up, and the return transaction required tagging and manager approval while everyone waited. To make matters worse, my item had a visible price but no barcode, which led to a price check instead of a quicker solution. After waiting more than ten minutes just to check out, it felt like there was no urgency or leadership on the floor. With the number of associates present, the line could have moved much faster if customer service had been prioritized.
