I finally got a chance to pop in and check out five below, and I was glad I did. It definitely has a dollar store vibe with most things from $1-$5 but they also have some electronic items that are like $10 or more. There is a wide variety to choose from in this store. Clothes, shoes, board games, puzzles, books, candy, snacks, backpacks, toys, cell phone cases and chargers, etc. You do have to check yourself out and the register area is not big enough if you have several larger items, but it is manageable. Staff was friendly enough, it was kind of messy but it was before the holidays and I think the shoppers had kind of destroyed the area picking through everything. I did find some candies that are not readily available at grocery stores or convenience stores, and there ire a wide variety of brands and sizes. read more

One step up from a dollar store with an emphasis on pop culture. Tons of decorative accessories that you never thought you needed, but hey, doesn't everyone need a unicorn candle? If you're in the market for fun things to put in a gift basket or a gag gift, this is the place. I went during the Christmas season and it did not disappoint when I needed gifts for school-age kids. This was my first time to this new discount store. It's like the dollar store, but everything is $5 and under. It seems to cater to preteens and under. They carry t-shirts, toys, sneakers, make-up, candy, greeting cards and a whole lot of other stuff. This store is not for me, but if you have kids they might like it. read more

He didn't just point at what I was looking for he took me exactly to the items I wanted. There was also another employee that helped me but I didn't get his name. I had a great experience. These stores are on the East coast where I'm from and when I moved out here to San Diego I was bummed out that they didn't have a location nearby. When they placed one in Oceanside I was thrilled but when I went today I spent over $60 and two of the Aroma things I purchased and both didn't work, plus when I opened my Apple Watch case there was only one instead of two. Driving back isn't as easy because I live down in San Diego about 40 minutes away. Not happy at all. read more

Stock was low on most items and sale rack was pretty okay. I went in for their charcoal body scrub, but unfortunately they had only one on the shelf, so I asked the sales associate at the cashier if they had any in there back. I was a little surprised by her response because it's so rare to have great customer service nowadays. Most would lie or make someone else do the work. How wildly inappropriate can your manager be yelling at an associate infront of customers and throwing product saying I don't like this

They have a variety of toys, books, and candy. I kind of felt like if you don't get it when you see it...it will be gone if you decide to go back and get it. Learn from my mistake. Otherwise, it is great to get crazy gifts. I might bring my g-baby to go shopping. Just let him go crazy and get what he wants. It is so inexpensive. read more

Decent selection of odds and ends here and easy parking right out in front. As advertised everything is $5 or less. That being said some things are a great deal while others may actually cost less than $5 at Walmart or online. The young folks who work here were really friendly and helpful. I needed a wall charger for my phone and they had an abundance of options for mobile phones. read more

My kids and I love walking around this store. Pretty much a better version of the 99 cent store. They have a big candy area, plenty to choose from. They have a bunch of stuff you could use as Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers without having to spend your whole paycheck. All of their products are made from child labor factories in china. Which I was fine with excusing until they started forcing you to take surveys after every purchase at their self checkout stalls. Since their checkout computers are so old it adds at least another 20 seconds to your checkout time which doesn't sound like a lot but as someone who frequently comes here to buy energy drinks it really starts to get annoying. The final straw for me was when they added codes to their bathrooms so every time I need to go take a piss I have to track down one of their miserable employees, who make as much of an effort as possible to hid from me, and then ask them to let me into the bathroom like I'm a toddler. This store is no longer convenient to use so I am going to make it a personal mission to steal from them as much as possible from now on. Thanks for wasting so much of my time, Five Below. I was able to get all of her Xmas presents here and I will be getting all of her birthday supplies here as well. This stores only been open for a month I think.. but so far it's actually pretty great. I've been there a few times and each time the store is always organized and the staff is always friendly(: The store has a variety of things from candy to room decor, toys,t-shirts and even some electronic accessories. The stores pricing ranges from $1-$5(duh lol FIVE below)! I've purchased two woven rugs from there and they were $5 dollars each!! That's insane to me because a woven rug at urban outfitters is like $1000 bucks?!?!
