Gringo's Mexican Kitchen - The whole staff and food was tremendous today! Our server Angela was super sweet. - Mexican Near Me - Spring, Texas

I have been to Gringo's several times. It used to be better than what it is now. Their green sala is one of the best but their red salsa is not good at all. I usually get the seafood enchiladas and they did not taste very good when I went last Sunday. It didn't have much flavor. They are usually very good. Their drinks are pretty tasty, a good margarita is always great! Tried the MANGONADA, and it was yummy!! read more

I love their tortilla soup!! Service has always been pleasant and a fun atmosphere! Oh and their margaritas are great too!

Good quality food at a reasonable price point. Not quite the quality of Lupe but if you're looking for something quick, easy in & out without breaking the bank, Gringos hasn't been a let down. read more

We went there because we had just gotten a flat and we had to wait for a tow, which was supposed to be a couple of hours. We went there because it was the closest restaurant to us but looking back it was the brightest spot of a very long and difficult day. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated however quite a bit of time before we anybody came to get our order. I was quite irate by the time someone came to our table, so I might have even given a little bit of an attitude to the gentleman who took our order, who could've been one of the chefs. However, the food was simply delicious! We order a quesadilla and a cheesy beef bowl of some kind. I don't want to get into much detail about what happened next but the amount of kindness we were shown was something we will never forget. We had two more managers come and apologize for the delay and we left the place feeling so much gratitude and big smiles on our faces. I am someone who puts service over food, and to say their service was one of the best we've ever received would still be an understatement. This happened a few months ago, so this review is overdue. We want to back to this Gringo's although we have closer locations, just to repay the gift is kindness and grace they gave us that day. read more

I've gone here many times before because their food and drinks are good. However, that changed today when I tried to pay for my lunch with cash and was denied, then found out that about 6 months ago they stopped accepting cash. They said "there are signs on the doors" which I somehow missed because I came in with big party. Anyway, there are plenty of other good tex-mex restaurants around who still take cash which I now will be going to instead. I left disappointed. read more

I've been coming here for years now. However, this is my first time doing a review. I ordered Three Amigos plus Pepe. The meal comes with 4 enchiladas: beef, beef fajita, chicken, and cheese. The sides were rice and refried beans. The enchiladas were good, I just didn't like the enchilada sauce that comes on top. I thought it came with white cream sauce but it did not. The waiter brought out a side of white sauce so I just poured it over the enchiladas. It tasted much better. I could only eat half because it was so much food. This location is always good so I will return! read more

Location, Decor, Ambiance: There's plenty of parking available and there's indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. We had 6 people in our party and got seated in a booth which was a little cramped. Food & Drink: I ordered their Ribeye Street Tacos with charro beans and enjoyed the food! It was 3 tacos, which was just the right amount for me, along with rice and the beans (you can choose refried or ask for black beans if you don't like charro). Service: Our server was Jordan and he was great! He brought drink refills without us needing to ask, remembered our side requests, and was quick in bringing our food. Pricing: $-$$ - I found the price reasonable. Would Return: Yes read more

Can not get enough of this place. I am very much in love with the bowls don't care which one. NEVER HAVE come across a rude staff member excellent. Clean, smells nice, and kid friendly. read more

I loveeeedd the ambiance in this restaurant. I frequently travel to Mexico and as a result I have grown to hate TexMex or just Mexican food in America in general, but I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. It reminded me a lot of a spot in Playa Del Carmen that I visited. I got the steak and chicken fajitas and they were spot on, I had no complaints. I sat at the bar and there were two bartenders. They both looked to be working super hard to take care of the well as well as the guests so I wasn't sad I didn't get to connect with them like I do sometimes when I sit at the bar. They were very polite and checked in my frequently. I will definitely frequent this restaurant, it was great. The soft serve at the end was a great touch. read more

Gringo's Mexican Kitchen - Patio/play area outside Gringos Always love the food! And the green salsa Omgosh! Fresh chips Great service! - Mexican Near Me - Spring, Texas

Even with the limited menu they still have all the favorite items. Bar seating is spaced out as well as table seating. Make sure you make a reservation at this time they are not taking walk ins. You use the open table app to make a reservation, and it doesn't have to be far in advance. When we arrived and had to do it, it only took 5 mins. Still our fave place! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and they were very busy. The booth they sat us in had trash on the floor (a kids menu, a used linen napkin and food), there was a used napkin and fork on the booth chair (it was the corner/round booth), and the table was dirty (rice was on the table). I kicked out the stuff from under the table, handed the napkin and fork to the host and asked her to have someone clean the table. She seemed annoyed that I asked and pointed out the rice on the table. She did come back and spray and wipe the table. The waiter was ok, he did check back on us several times but then he disappeared. We sat there for a long time after we were done and even went to look for him. My husband went to the bar and asked if they could send him over because we were literally just sitting there (it had to be at least 30 minutes of waiting from the time we finished eating before he finally came and brought the bill). The food was good but the cleanliness and service was lacking. read more

Excellent service - everyone was friendly & attentive. Food was great, too! Every dish we ordered was phenomenal... I can especially sing praises about my platter: The thick & chewy corn tortillas are some of the best I've ever had, and the Pacifico Shrimp had my taste buds dancing! Came here with a work group, and everyone enjoyed the meal. No complaints. Will definitely come back again! read more

Gringo's Mexican Kitchen - Pacifico Shrimp - Mexican Near Me - Spring, Texas

This review really applies to most chain restaurants in the Spring area, but the service is awful, the food is overpriced and the shrimp might have been imitation crab meat with a soggy fried exterior. This particular location seems to get bent out of shape when they have to seat you and God forbid you request another table. Oh yeah the margarita was watery. read more

I have never been here. First time Sunday. Wow! How does this place get any good reviews? Chips and salsa not good. Red salsa taste from a can. The queso is nacho cheese flavor. Taco Bell better then this. Well I won't be coming back. There are a lot better tex-mex restaurants out there. read more

Angela Fields Garza is the best server! We sit in her section every time and she is friendly, quick and remembers us every time!

Ok, this place is a chain. It's nice, but still a chain. The restaurant is large, clean and well decorated. Service is pretty good. The chips and two sauces were good. I ordered a salad. It was huge, and had a nice presentation. It's too bad the flavor didn't match the presentation. The salad had so many ingredients.. sometimes it's just too much, as was this case. My friends shared a large burrito, which they enjoyed. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Will I go back and try again? Probably not, when there are so many wonderful places. Why settle for mediocre? Houston is a food town, and I'm out to find new mom and pop places. read more

Welllll, I'm a fan favorite of Gringo's! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE me some Gringo's! This location is perfect for me and my family so we frequent this restaurant! On the weekend my waitress, Rebecca is heavenly, serves with a beautiful smile and very attentive to her customers! If I visit during a week day, Angela is my waitress and she is attentive to her customers! Both waitresses are outstanding, personable and very professional and they make my visit extra special, so along with them and the great food I'm a forever customer! We really loved the food here! I have never had seafood enchiladas and didn't know what to expect, but really ended up enjoying them. The poblano cream sauce is DREAMY. Also, we love a restaurant that offers green sauce alongside the normal salsa. Great friendly staff and atmosphere. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. read more

So, I go into Gringo's tonight and they have empty spaces at the bar but no bar seats. So I ask for bar seats for the space and the lady manager was rude and said, "I can't help you." I said I know. And now the other "manager" wants to remove me from the restaurant because I ask for seats at the bar at a legitimately empty space. Why are these people so neglectful of their patrons these days??? Update: Apparently other guests have ask for bar stools also because they didn't have enough... Update: The security guard even knows there are seats available to be placed at the bar for patrons and doesn't know why they do not bring them down for customers. My wife even told Justin that I did not say anything mean, threatening or ugly to the manager. Just that they do NOT like to be called out on their neglect! Apparently this guy is also very mean and ugly to the staff after further inquiry into his disposition at Gringo's! I think it's time for an intervention. Update: No result yet but I have emailed Curtis about it... I will keep.you posted! read more

Went here for the first time recently (not sure why I haven't been) and the food, the service and the staff was great! We enjoy going to our local Gringo's down the street from us from time to time - it's literally one of the most popular places to eat on the weekend here in Spring. There will absolutely be a wait during dinner time, but we usually get a table within 15-20 min for just the 2 of us. It's right next to Top Golf Spring, so great for dinner and an easy hop and a skip over for some golf fun! My husband enjoyed the Mariachi 2.0 - huge assortment, you will have leftovers to bring home. I got the shrimp tacos -well rounded flavors, cooked to perfection. The cucumber salad it came with was not so attractive. I would give 3.5 stars for food alone, but we always have good service in the restaurant and in their to-go area. My husband loves the green sauce and chips - join their e-club for occasional rewards! P.S. FREE SOFT SERVE! read more

Went here with family to celebrate a birthday. It was right around rush hour, so we did the call ahead wait list and were seated right away upon arrival. We had a fantastic server that kept the salsa flowing and the chip baskets full. The menu has anything you could want at a Tex-Mex establishment. I ordered the presidents dinner, which was an astounding amount of food, came out in two separate platters! The first platter had a couple tostada type things and a beef taco, the second platter had the enchiladas, rice and beans. It was probably enough food for a couple people to split, but it was so good that I put it all away! I would definitely return here if I'm the area again. read more

$33 for a margarita????!!!!! Are you kidding?!?! 6 margaritas and 3 shots. $200. Holy woah. This place is an absolute rip off. I don't mind paying but $33 a margarita?!?! Holy cow. On arrival they told us it would be over an hour for a group of 9. We were okay with that since we had a large group. An hour and a half later a group of 15 was sat. I asked the hostess about our status. Our reservation "was missing". The girls knew this was a big mistake and promised a table right away. Fifteen more minutes go by... we are getting hangrier as we watched tables sit empty and slowly be cleaned. Another 25 minutes went by before we sat down. No urgency to right their mistake. We were so nice and understanding to the first mistake only for them to take forever to do anything at all. Drink refills, taking our orders, and the check. By the time we were done we didn't spend less than three hours there. The upside is the bartenders are so friendly as we kept coming inside for drinks. They were busting their backs trying to keep a full restaurant hydrated with tasty cocktails. Those bartenders' service and professional demeanor is what earned this restaurant two stars instead of one. The food was okay. Nothing mind-blowing. Would I wait an hour and a half again? No. Would I come eat here if there was no wait? Yes. I truly think this was a series of unfortunate events that would not make me tell others to avoid this restaurant, just be prepared just in case. read more

We had gone there close to 9 pm service was pathetic we ordered for michelada which was watery and not spicy at all so we asked the server to ask the bar tender to make it spicy and few minutes later she comes with Tobasco sauce and tells us the bartender sent this to make it spicy .... Are you for real!!! If I have to make my own drink why am I going to pay for making it myself in a restaurant!! The food was cold and just not fresh it seemed like server was ready to close shop and leave everything was in a rush . We even spoke to the manager on duty all he said was sorry you would think after sharing our experience and showing him the food quality he would have done something more meaningful to get better customer service but just a sorry and he left . Very disappointed with the experience read more
