We just discovered this local gem. I can't say enough about this place. We drove out planning to try the green pozole. But once we arrived, we saw they had a breakfast buffet. I checked it out and saw they had many of our favorites, including pozole, so it was a no-brainer. I wanted to sample everything. And sample I did!!! Our server, Anna, was amazing. She was super friendly and carried a graceful attitude. She promptly asked for our tortilla preference and how we liked iur eggs to go with the buffet. My husband requested over easy eggs, and they were out within minutes. I can't name all the dishes I tried but they were all delicious. After round two, Anna was ready to take an order for pancakes and french toast. We were so full we had to pass. We will absolutely be back and bring our family when they come to visit. First visit, I was served expired barbacoa. The smell almost made us puke. The server said she questioned it as well. Then my daughter talks me into giving it another try. So I did. Went here a few weeks back and we enjoyed it. There was quite a few locals so must be good food right. The food was good I got menudo, lengua taco, chicharron taco. He had Al pastor and barbacoa. They were all good, I even asked for extra jalepenos on the side and a grilled jalepeno with Avocado near the end. Staff is attentive in the beginning, but after you get your food be prepared to wait for the check. 4 stars cause they only have 1 selection of salsa. The only reason why I rated four stars instead of five is because I didn't dine in and therefore didn't get the full restaurant experience. Only give you 3 tortillas for fajitas and rice was bland. Sad to say, I will not be spending my money here ever again, but the service doesn't go unnoticed! Delicious food chips and salsa to start. I ordered pork in green salsa w/beans-rice and I added a Chile relleno on the side. This has a fantastic taste. The flour tortilla is delicious. We were gonna order from a food truck and although their business said they opened at 4 they weren't ready at 4:20 to even take the order. Decided to come here instead. We were served by who I think is the owner. My husband wanted tripa tacos which they did not have. The server (owner) took pride in what tacos he did have. His enthusiasm made our day. Wow !!! This is a small gem !!! The staff was super friendly and attentive. Their prices are reasonable and they have a great selection on their menu. The dining area was clean and the service was spot on. My coworker and I both ordered soup and it was very good. He had the chicken soup and I had the seafood soup. When we were seated they brought out chips n salsa (very good), and they gave each of us a side plate with two chips, refried beans and queso on top which was very good. We will be back for sure as there is so much on the menu to try. They do have a full bar and I saw a sign that they have a margarita happy hour ($1.99) on Wednesdays and Thursdays. What a joke. This probably one of the last bastions of the mask absurdity. It's comical that they require masks, and take it so seriously with their customers - yet their employees walk around with improperly worn masks only covering their mouths. It's asinine to think that 50 people eating in small space NOT social distancing, do not spread anything, but magically you're protected if you stand up and put a stupid mask on. If we were following "CDC guidelines" all along, why are we not following them now? I got a vaccine. Will not wear a mask any longer. Especially by an establishment that selectively enforces its own rules, and chooses to take certain "safety measures" but not others. updated 2 years later and this still stands true. Augustine is the best server I've ever had. Super attentive and very personable. I have yet to have a bad experience coming here. On to the food: I was coming here every friday for dinner with my in-laws for a period of about 2 years when I lived local and have tried pretty much everything on the menu. Some things may not be what I prefer, but I have yet to get something that wasn't good. My personal favorites are the camarones Guanajuato and the queso flameado. Now that I live in Omaha, I make sure to come here at least 2x every time I am in town. La cabana and tequila patio have nothing on this wonderfully friendly hole in the wall. read more

Had dinner last night with some friends here. The food was great authentic no frozen junk. I had the mole chicken enchiladas which come with rice and beans. My friends ordered the daily special: two tacos al carbon with rice and beans for only $5.95 (what a deal). Everything tasted homemade with fresh ingredients. Service = very friendly and attentive. Will be back. There was a party celebrating a birthday and the employees all came around to sing happy birthday and put a sombrero on the birthday boy. Awesome. read more

Felt like I was in someone's home eating some good ole home cooking. Service was good and the wait staff was polite. A little mix up with our food but no big deal. I'm not giving it 5 stars as the carne guisada should have been chopped/shredded when served on the tostadas. Eating tostadas is an art, chunks of meat falling off your tostada mid bite is no bueno. 4 stars today for La Presa. If you're considering La Presa...... go for it. I went to have lunch there . I use to love this place. I sat down and it took over 20 minutes for them to ask what I wanted to drink. After another 20 minutes I asked for a menu. I asked them if they stopped the lunch menu. I got that a while later. The chips came out cold. Then they bought out the chip on a plate covered with beans and white queso. It was cold also. I ordered the number 17 off the lunch menu. It came with a crispy taco, one bean chalupa and 2 cheese puffs. The cheese puffs were ice cold. This is our 'go-to' place for Mexican. We have eaten there consistently (at least weekly) for almost a year now. The service is wonderful - always seated quickly, with a smile. The food is always fresh and authentic - the Barbacoa is my absolute fav, but everything we have had has been wonderful. My husbands fave is the Mole. (Some people don't understand what authentic mole tastes like!) The buffet breakfast/brunch on Sat/Sun is amazing. So many wonderful choices, and Pasole soup is a staple.
