The cashier was very good about openly telling everyone in line about price differences from the printed menu before ordering. Because the kitchen was experiencing a significant delay, it seemed like they quietly upgraded me to a whole wrap as a nice peace offering! It came cut into two parts, with one part wrapped neatly in foil. Personally, I really wish they offered a "build your own" option where you could just choose your own specific bread, meat, cheese, and toppings, rather than having to hunt through the large preset menu options to find a combination where you like everything. I was really surprised by how incredibly small the side portion of pasta salad was--about the size of a standard salad dressing container! I've honestly never seen a side dish served that small before, so I posted a photo of the two side by side to show the exact comparison. Next time, I would skip the combo entirely and just order the sandwich on its own. The ham wrap itself was really good, and the small bite of pasta salad was very tasty. However, it did take quite a bit longer than it should have for the food to leave the kitchen, so this slow wait time could definitely be an issue for someone on a tight lunch schedule.

I am writing this public complaint to express my disappointment with the lack of quality service at your establishment. While your restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere, it is disheartening to see that your employees are not committed to providing excellent service. After waiting in line for a tedious 15 minutes to place my order, I patiently waited for 40 minutes for my food. To my dismay, I realized that my order had been forgotten when I decided to inquire about its status. This level of negligence is simply unacceptable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and receive prompt service. It is evident that your staff lacks the necessary attention to detail and fails to prioritize customer satisfaction. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it is crucial for your restaurant to have efficient systems in place to prevent such oversights. Customers should not have to endure such long wait times only to be left empty-handed. I hope that you take this complaint seriously and address the issues within your establishment. It is essential to train your employees to be more attentive and prioritize customer service. Additionally, implementing measures to prevent forgotten orders would greatly improve the overall dining experience at your restaurant. I sincerely hope that my feedback will prompt positive changes in your establishment. I told the person who brought it what I ordered and she said, yes that was not it. The server showed up again and said she was sorry about the "mix-up"...I don't know I am pretty clear when I order and something that has "killer and gravy" shouldn't be unclear. After more time passed the server came around again and said she would check to see what was going on....then came around again to say "it's still not here?" No, it was not there or I would be eating it. After I want to say around 15 minutes passed I finally got the food and had to chow it down because we needed to be someplace before the rain was going to start. But then the server came over and said to my wife (not me), I took the dish off you didn't order. Really, you took the dish off I dish I didn't order and charged me FULL price for the order I did and then no further discount....how nice of you. There was no manager to be seen or I would have said something then, but then my wife said don't, so I didn't and now this is the review that the Frothy Rooster gets because the server needed a clue and then did not do anything except make a good breakfast bad. If any management wants to contact me about this experience feel free to do so.

The grits were also a bit too watery for me. I had to add salt and pepper, along with the butter given to me in my order, to give it some depth. While I think that this is a lovely local restaurant, the food could be better. I would give it a 2.5/5 stars if I could.
