Never been to a Buffalo Wild Wings before, but decided to give it a shot even though reviews aren't great. The place itself is nice, basically like a sports bar, service was also good. We started with some wings because... well... it's in the name. The wings were nice and crispy but were pretty small with little meat. Also for some reason we only got wings and no drumsticks... not sure if that's how they do it or just coincidence but since I prefer the drumsticks... not cool if that's how they do it. Also I have never seen wings sauced like they do here. Normally they are just tossed in sauce to get them coated, these were coated but then like more sauce all over the top. They also had some decent beer prices with their "in-house" beer being $4 for a pretty big glass. For our main we both had burgers. This is where they redeemed themselves because the burger was really good. It's a smash burger which I love but not that many places around do them. Fries were also good, nice and crispy. I will say I ordered mine with no sauce, my girlfriend ordered it as it comes with mayo and mustard.... It was DRENCHED in sauce. She regretted it so if you don't like a ton of sauce ask for it on the side... too much sauce seems to be a theme here. Last issue was checkout. Instead of just paying like any other place, they send you a link to pay online. You have to Emeterio all your info type your card number etc, it's kind of a pain. However after entering everything and submitting it I get an error but at the same time I get an alert from my credit card that it has been charged. Had to go see manager who said it wasn't the first time. Just take payment at the table like everyone else. If they want to implement some online thing then better make sure it's EASIER than the normal way and that it actually works. Anyways great burger, everything else was meh, has potential. read more

I think Buffalo Wild Wings is in competition to see how small of wings they can serve. We ordered appetizer pickles, 10$ and literally got like 8 pickle chips. Sauce was good. Beer was good. Everything else including service was meh or unacceptable. The first time I visited Buffalo in Asheville, waitress tipped herself an extra 100$. Had to get the store to pull the receipt and check what was actually written. She had already been "dealt with." Went with some friends after a baby shower because two of us love to get a ton of wings and share. We got the fried pickles to start and I do feel like they hardly gave us any. You used to get a whole basket so it was a bit disappointing for a $10 app. We got wings and fries. The wings were great! The staff was friendly and attentive. No BWW's are great, but this may be the worst... no napkins, had to ask twice, asked for blue cheese, for ranch, didn't bother saying anything, walked to a table and got the ketchup myself after waiting and I was the only person at the bar. We went to watch the Redskins game as we've moved from VA. I was a bit worried about the previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The hostess was super sweet and accommodating of our desire to be seated so we could see the game. Our bartender, Ciara, was very personable and provided great service. Our fellow football fans were friendly and fun. We each had one of the chicken sandwiches which were both good. My only complaint is that it was pretty cold inside at the bar and they can't adjust the temperature. Next time I'll bring a jacket. Overall, we had a great time. We'll be back!! read more

This was my first attempt at this particular BWW in Morganton. I live here and never visited because of the bad reviews and this one isn't going to lift their image either. So to first try BWW we decided to call in a pick up order. The young lady was pleasant. My problem was with the completion of our order. I ordered all flats. I assume I was charged extra but that was ok. When I got home I had 2 flats out of 10. Next- I ordered ranch for my wings. You guessed it... no ranch. Salad was rather large. Shot glass full of dressing. Very disappointed in what we received. One would think that paying in excess of $40 for two orders of 10piece wings and a salad. Should have gone to Blue 42. read more

I came here when the location first opened, and I'll admit, there were a lot of rough edges. I gave them another chance tonight, and I'm pretty happy with the changes that have been made. First of all, they're the only restaurant in town with Guinness on tap. Huge kudos for that, so thank you! Second, I generally don't like the wings at Buffalo, but the ones I had tonight (I am a dry rub snob) were fantastic. Not dry or overcooked, not soggy, and most importantly they tasted fresh, not just dipped in a deep fryer after being cooked hours earlier. Lastly, the service was prompt, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and genuinely wanted to be there. The beer selection in general is impressive for a chain restaurant. Rivals other bars that sell primarily beer. It's also relatively calm, and not completely smashed with customers. I'd love to see it busy, but this is Morganton, so I'm not surprised. TL;DR: if you came here a year ago and weren't impressed, give them another chance. They've made some major changes to the waitstaff, and changed my impression personally. Keep it up! read more

A great addition to the Morganton food scene. It saves the drive to Hickory. The inside is bright and spacious featuring plenty of televisions. It's a great spot to catch a game, share some food and drinks with friends. We arrived on a Wednesday evening and was surprised that it wasn't that busy. The food didn't take too long to come out. We ordered a medium order of traditional and boneless wings. It was enough for three people. When the food came out, we weren't given any small plates...just napkins. The customer service was ok. I ordered the chips and salsa with the salsa I chose was pico de Gallo it's the only one my stomach can handle. The guy working at the bar proceeds to get me plain pico salsa it's to spicy for me. and now I am feeling a tingling feeling in my stomach. The mountain dews aswell don't taste right, the chips for the chips and salsa are stale. my dad went to the restroom to go use the bathroom ( Not putting details ) and he went to sit down and there was pee all over the floor, that show they do not clean up their restaurant because we were the first people in there so ( that pee could have been there from last night or nights ago who knows ) the restaurant is very unsanitary and could make you get food poisoning ( like me ). I've not been to BWW since living in Ocean Isle Beach, NC eating once in Wilmington once in Myrtle Beach. Having been to Baptist Hospital we couldn't find where we thought we were going to eat but we were parked beside BWW. Worst experience at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Took a while for waiter to come to table we ordered a mixed drink and a water, the mixed drink took a long time to get to table. Then after ordering food it took at least 30 mins to come out. We didn't even see our waiter during this time, We were both out of drinks we'll before the food came. Our waiter finally came back with our food and it was just barely warm. Then we were brung our refills in to go cups, every refill after was a new to go cup I guess they were out of regular cups or didn't want anymore dishes for the night But it was only 8pm. Well the best part is they are open. The one person waiting tables is the only one. She is covering a large area. In the bathroom the trash cans are running over in the floor. The service is very slow but due to the virus I guess we need to learn to expect little or nothing. The air conditioning is ice cold so bring a coat. The music is so loud it would be great outside at a racetrack. Did I mention how slow the service was? The table did not have salt pepper napkins but I guess they are keeping the place clean but she did not bring them when we finally got the pitiful looking salads. I ate there after a day at the lake, and the food was filling and refreshing. What really impresses me about this place, however, are the people! The waitress at our visit was considerate and attentive. But after I was there marks the beginning of my story. I forgot my calendar at the restaurant, and I live about an hour and a half away through the mountains. I have been treated like royalty by the staff since that mishap: They have sent me photos of my calendar for months out, and today, Laura walked through all the Thursdays on my calendar to make sure that I have no conflicts. She is also mailing it to me, and she will not accept payment. In a time when many people are self-centered and selfish, these people really shine! I figure with staff this considerate and generous, the restaurant deserves an extraordinary review. People make places, and these people are stellar! read more

Went in on this Labor Day, not busy at all but took forever to get seated. Being the only one they sent me in the bar and took another 10 minutes for someone to even come over and take my drink order and give me a menu. Didn't see my waitress again until I was done and ready to pay. Never got a refill my drink, didn't see my waitress the whole time for me to be able to even ask her a drink but other waitresses and the manager walked by me multiple times looking at my cup noticing it was empty and did nothing. Wasn't very busy while we where in the building. I had a $12 burger that was cooked way to hard, dry as a bone. It's my first trip to a Buffalo Wild Wings and I did not see anything that would bring me back. It felt like having a meal at a club the music was so loud. We came to Bww because they wasn't packed. When we got here there were people waiting in front of the desk to be seated. Finally a few minutes later they came and got them then asked how many were with us. Which was only me and one other person. She tells us we have to wait 10 minutes. We were confused because there were only a few people here. So we waited then was seated in the back right at the kitchen door. The area was disgusting with trash and food. We had to wait 40 minutes just for a waitress to come and ask what we wanted to drink. Then waited another 35 minutes for our food. Keep in mind there was only us and someone at the bar and two other couples at tables. When we got our food, our chips were so stale. They didn't give us an option of bone in or boneless wings. They just gave us the boneless. I can't believe how the staff were. The manager wasnt even seen except outside talking to a random man that wasn't working there or even eating and other waitresses. Then went and got her laptop and sat down. No questions or notbing. They only waiter they had was a man and he was behind the bar and waiting on all tables. The host never greeted when I walked in and walked away when we was walking to the counter. I stood at the host stand atleast ten minutes until someone sat my family and I . I noticed my server had like three other tables but it took her 15 minutes to take our drink order, our food took forever to come out, and the boneless wings came out over cooked ( they were hard). I placed an order on-line for my husband to pick up....$30.34 total. I ordered a traditional wing/boneless meal combo....6 traditional wings..flats with dry rub, and 6 boneless wings with Buffalo sauce. The combo came with fries and coleslaw. I added a salad with the meal, also. I also added a order of garlic mushrooms, and cheesecake bites. When my husband got home ( we live almost 25 min. away from the restaurant), the combo did not have the fries and coleslaw, and the bone-in wings were not the flats I had ordered. I didn't receive the Ranch Dressing for the wings, either. A call to the restaurant didn't help. We will not be returning to this location, and we'll recommend to our friends to not patronize it either. read more

I ordered delivery and had the brisket tacos. I was really looking forward to the dish because brisket is supposed to be amazing when it's cooked correctly. Alas, the brisket was over-done and dry. The taco itself was pretty good, but the brisket really wasn't anything to write home about. The onion rings, however, were awesome. And whoever made the southwestern ranch dip made it way too thick. Called to place a pickup (my first and last) order about 11:15 AM and was put on hold for more than 5 minutes. I hung up, called back, and placed the order and was told the order would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes before the appointed time and had to wait an additional 10 minutes - past the suggested pick up time - and they did not seem busy at all. Three minutes later, I was home and found the wings and fries were not fresh, crispy, or hot - like they had been sitting out for some time. My fault, I should have checked, but I did not want to wait an additional 20 minutes. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone for any reason. read more
