This is the best food ever!! The people are friendly. The atmosphere is family-oriented. I visit Morganton and eat there at least three times on my stay. Food is always fresh. The is one of the best inexpensive eats I have been to. The breakfast sandwiches are absolutely worth it. I had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. It was like biting into heaven. Fluffy biscuit, made to order egg, crispy bacon, my mouth is watering thinking about it! I also had a large sweet tea - delicious!!! I think they only accept cash. I am a GF, DF eater so not much on the menu for me but my son loves the corndogs. They offer drive- thru and have good ice cream. We come just for the ice cream weekly in the Summertime. Have enjoyed a nice burger or two here in the past. Each of last few visits has been more disappointing. This last one was the last. Cheeseburger was "brown" however the burger meat was literally colder than the pickles. The cheese didn't melt at all. And the pumpkin pie was served warm. Warmer than the burgers. When I have time for a sit down breakfast in MoTown I always come here. The corned beef hash is always cooked the way I like it. Always a busy breakfast crowd but lunch and dinner are steady too. Just don't do it! The hamburger patties taste like the freezer. The hotdogs are so gross. Imagine school food, this is worse. I would give it no stars if possible. Based on the food, I don't see how this place has made it. Ordered the monthly special (2 hot dogs, fries and drink $4.99) and can tell you it wasn't worth it. The hotdogs themselves had no flavor at all. Just pinkish tubes of solidified water. The chili reminded you of taco meat but there is more moisture in taco meat. This was like liver mush crumble. Throw a few onions and some mediocre slaw and there's your special! Co-worker ordered 2 hamburgers. He couldn't finish them. Definitely frozen pucks of nastiness slathered in onions, taco beef livermush compote and slaw. Just not a good experience at all. Livermush was so old that you could taste how bad it was. Both sandwiches were cold. Tea was overly sweetened, very bad experience.

I have been there so many time that I can't remember when I started. The last several visits were really bad but today just done it. I don't think I will be coming back. I order was almost $10.00 and when I got back to work there was no silverware or anything, no sauces, no salt no NOTHING. I spent that money for my lunch and was not able to eat it because NOTHING TO EAT WITH. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF SERVICE sorry but you just lost a long standing customer Tina read more

I make a point to patronize your business as I have done since 1977 under different ownership of course but, you guys are a local biz so, I support you. When I use the drive-thru, I expect a little longer wait because I know you make to order and it usually hot and fresh. However, my last visit I ordered my old favorite Livermush and egg with mayo and tomato. I got a rather old piece of LM and no mayo and as a first time ever experience, I received lukewarm coffee, almost like the coffee pot had been off for a while. The exact time was 10:06 last Thursday morning. I know because I got in line at 9:58 and I took note of the time when I finally got my order. There was only one car in front of me and they were there about the whole time I was. Once I got to the window, I got my order within a couple of minutes. My point is this, I like you guys and plan on continuing my practice of patronizing your business, for now, but, another experience or two like the last one will be enough for me. read more

It's great when they can manage to get the order right. Today is the fifth time they've managed to screw up my breakfast order within the last two months. It's not as if I'm placing a large or complicated order, just two orders of biscuits and gravy and a hashround, but they consistently get it wrong.
