Located towards the center of downtown Newton beside Callahans, this coffee shop uses North Carolina roasted espresso beans to make a variety of different coffee drinks. They have a multitude of flavors year round and offer seasonal specialties. Not only does this place make great coffee, you can also order food including breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries. There is a second space attached for additional seating and there you can enjoy large art pieces on the wall, a vintage sewing machine recycled into a table, and some local antique maps. Walked into Narrow's for the first time this morning. What a pleasant surprise We were warmly welcomed in person and by the fresh coffee aroma. Cutest little coffee spot off the beaten path in Newton (but well worth the detour!). Local coffee and goods, and yummy treats to dine in or take out. Our party of three needed a pick me up, and Narrow answered the call! Robust espresso, tasty teas, and a chocolate milk were ordered along with a sandwich to go. Thumbs up from all! I love this spot. Here is the thing, the atmosphere is awesome, the coffee is great and the people are even better. I like coming in, working on the free wifi while having a bit lighter music in the background, (Some places have music that is too aggressive or down. Having a nice Jazz in the background is awesome for me). They do great coffee, panini's, and all kinds of other great food. This treasure is a bit hidden, so, when you come down the block, make sure to pay attention, it's a narrow building, so you can easily miss it. Narrow isn't just a cute name, it is a great description of the building. I love it! If you need a space to just drink coffee, meet with a friend, have a nice lunch together and just chill out, this is the place! Once I have a few more chances to eat and check out more of their menu, I am going to update this review. However, let me say this... For me to say that I am going to update a review and keep coming back already says a ton about this hidden gem! Love it! read more

I got the avocado sandwich with egg cheese and avocado on a croissant it was dank! Really good croissants! My friend got the Monte cristo he said it's super dank and had a lot of meat! Coffees were delicious and they have almond and oat milk also! Will be back! Next time I want to try the avocado bombs!!! read more

Enjoyed a coffee and light lunch here. I had a peppermint mocha and avocado bomb (without bacon). They even had oat milk for the peppermint mocha and it was super frothy. I really enjoyed everything. The restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated. Can not wait to come back and try different items. read more

We've been to Narrow twice for coffee and once for lunch. I was already a fan of Black Powder Roaster coffee Espresso Blend roasted in Mooresville. Narrow is small and quiet. The lattes aren't overly sweet. I plan to spend a lot more time there now that I know about it. read more

This place is super inviting, from the staff to the cool décor tying it into the community. And did I mention the food?? Great menu, super fresh ingredients and made to order, my favorite so far is the Mountain Orchard Turkey (make it a Panini, so good). Such a cute coffee shop! I highly recommend the avocado toast if you stop in for breakfast. It's very clean and the staff is super friendly... oh, and the coffee itself is really good! While there are always growing pains when a new business opens (long wait times, for example), the customer service makes up for any tiny inconvenience.
