I have been waiting to write my review for a year, as I wanted to get a solid years worth of impressions on the community and staff here at Griffis. So if you are looking for brevity, you will not find it here. Many things attracted me to Griffis North Creek upon my first visit. To start, Bothell is a great area, and while BEH can be a nightmare at times- there is a stoplight at the entrance of the complex driveway (major selling point!) Griffis itself is offset from BEH, which gives many people greenbelt views, and very minimal noise from the road (save for an occasional emergency vehicle.) The staff was incredibly nice- and I know when you are looking to rent, folks tend to be extra nice- but I can assure you- this staff is genuinely polite (more on them later.) This complex has a lot to do! And the amenities were recently upgraded prior to my move in. The gym, additional class workout room, pool, and common area are wonderful. As an added fun fact- they have cookie Friday for the kids when they get off of the school bus. (I don't have kids, but I just thought that was really neat.) There is always something going on, whether it be dog adoptions, community events, or celebrating fun "holidays," like National Doughnut Day. After a year of being here, I can confidently say, that this staff is wonderful. They have always been attentive and genuine. I would like to take the time to praise them, because it is a relatively small staff considering the size of Griffis North Creek, and I truly feel that they do a stand up job. I also want to take the time to address some common negative reviews. Most people leaving a review, have had some sort of negative experience, prompting them to do so - so I always take negative reviews (and overly positive reviews) with a grain of salt. Noise level: These are apartments, not sound proof recording studios. You are likely to hear some footsteps above you on occasion, or chatter from people walking on the sidewalk by your window. All normal things that come with the territory of apartment living. That said - I have dealt with excessive noise after hours, and the office was quick to take action. They do also have an after-hours security team for instances as such. Car break-ins: Car break ins are scary, and an invasion of privacy. It definitely sucks when it happens. The issue with a good 90% of them, is the car owner, and their lack of accountability. We live in Bothell, we feel safe. Sometimes this leads us to forget to lock our car. Or we leave our work laptop in the passenger seat. Now, I am not saying that means people deserve to have their car broken into - they don't. But don't make yourself a target. The safer an area, the more vulnerable you will likely be. Because robbers want an easy in and out situation - they will go to nicer neighborhoods for nicer quality things, and because people feel safe leaving cars unlocked. Act smart. Parking: Griffis just started to roll out a parking permit system, which should help alleviate some of the congestion. That being said, where my complex is, I have never had an issue finding parking near my building. Regardless if I come home at 5PM, or 3AM. It could be different in other areas of the complex, but I have never had to walk more than 3 minutes from where I parked, to my apartment. Renewals and move out fees: These, I cannot yet comment on, as my renewal comes up in March. I am hoping that it will not be excessive, but as a reminder to folks, legally it can go up to 10% in WA state. We will see what happens when my renewal is up. And since I have not moved out, and do not intend to unless I move out of state, or buy a house - I cannot comment on said fees others have placed concerned on. All in all. Do your research, visit this apartment, visit a few. For me, after visiting 2 other properties, I knew Griffis was where I saw myself, and I have genuinely enjoyed my time here and have enjoyed getting to know the people who live and work here. There will always be something to complain about, no matter where you live- but sometimes you have to be realistic, and weigh the positives with the negatives. For me, Griffis has an overwhelming amount of positives that I enjoy, and any negative experience I have had- has always been addressed with the office, and resolved. So if you enjoy a fun-loving group of people, nice apartments and amenities, weekday and weekend activities, and puppies- this is probably the place for you. read more

I have lived here for over 2 years now. And let me tell you, it is a fantastic place to live! Service requests are taken care of quickly, the front office staff are friendly, helpful, and absolutely go out of their way to ensure you are happy calling this place home. The level of community engagement is outstanding. I have never seen such personal level of service. The staff here genuinely care about the well being and happiness of the whole community, and you can absolutely tell that by the way they engage with the residents and approach each issue. I've heard of them walking people's dogs when needed, checking in on vehicles that are left while residents are out of town, and fulfilling other requests that you don't see other places do. Comparing the price, quality of living, and long term reliability, it's hard to match Griffis North Creek when it comes to apartment complexes in the surrounding areas. Highly reccommended. With this raving review, I must say that the community is not without its own problems of course. Dog owners leaving poo behind, car owners leaving valuables in their cars to be taken, residents putting trash in the recycling bins. The common theme between these issues? The residents. I have personally interacted with each of the front office staff members, and the community manager Annalisa is well aware of each of these issues and is taken steps to address them as best she can. If these items are enough to deter you away, let me tell you, it won't be much different elsewhere. People suck, and they are fairly evenly distributed throughout society. It's just good to do our best to not negatively affect others as best we can. Only in that way can we ensure a positive living environment for all. Update: They recently completed an exterior LED lighting project that has totally improved the quality and safety of the community when the sun goes down. It's great to see the front office continually address community issues in a timely manner. I love living here. read more

My wife and I thought moving from Ohio to Washington was going to have many obstacles. We were unsure of areas, concerned about finding the right apartment, and trying to get a everything done and moved in the right amount of time. We ran into great apartment complexes in wonderful areas and ones that catfished us. The Griffis North Creek had our eyes huge upon arrival. As we came off the highway that is only 5 minutes away from the complex we were greeted with the wonderful town that felt safe and had everything we could need to live by. When we turned onto the street that the apartments were on our breath was taken away. Even though the apartment is around the highway, stores, and gas stations the second you turn onto the street you are entering a whole new area. Peaceful, beautiful, and filled with warmth you are in your own personal forest and hidden community. As if this wasn't enough, the apartments themselves and the staff were incredible. We have never been treated with such kindness, respect, and punctuality. Carolyn in the leasing office didn't just greet us, she was completely inviting. She made us feel not like we would be lucky to stay, but like they would be lucky to have us. She even told us as we were nervous about the application process, "we want you here". Walking around the complex it was obvious everyone was treated as family. I could go on about the quality of the apartment and the amenities (which are amazing) but I feel as though that's not what sold us. Ever since stepping foot onto the property neighbors have been helpful and friendly, the leasing office has been warm and inviting, and the whole community has made the move less stressful and less scary. Moving across the country is a big step especially for us who know nobody in the the state. But being here we know we aren't alone and we are part of a culture we've always wanted. Worst Place to Stay... DO NOT Waste Your Money (Expect Bed Bugs, old carpet, mismanagement, heavy move-out charges) I wish I could give ZERO Rating to this community First of all, Apartment Rent is way costly, expect peanuts (Not at all worth value for money). Sharing my experience as Unfortunately I stayed in this community for 1 year (Jun2017-May2018), I got very pathetic apartment which was full of bed bugs. They took 3 whole months to complete the treatment and during that time, I literally had sleepless nights. After the bed-bugs treatment, as carpet was completely off from the floor, I requested them to do the carpet stretching which they did but they didn't clean the carpet at all. And today, they charged me 60$ for carpet cleaning which I'm not responsible for. Main Hidden Story which you will face only after you Move-Out:- They have hidden move-out charges which they won't tell you till you move out completely. They will make sure Move-In Inspection happens in front of Tenant, however for Move-Out, NO one will show up even if you are leaving the apartment and handing over the keys. Besides they will ensure you moved out completely and they will send you move-out "Hidden" charges for something called Apartment Cleaning and Carpet Cleaning (Not sure how come carpet is diff than apartment as it's a part of it) and they will charge you 180$ only for such cleaning and as a courtesy they will reduce 60$ as if they are showing care. If you stay with them and renew apt lease, they will clean the carpet for FREE (which simply means, they are adjusting your charges with those unfortunate people who ends up paying $120+ just for the sake of cleaning... really pathetic) read more

Singing Management Praise is not enough for the team, especially Susan. They are very loving, kind, compassionate, and helpful people. What more could anyone ask for in their move in process. Back in 2012-2016, Susan was the ACM at the other Community I came from Campbell Run. Whenever there were any problems that arose, Susan was always putting the residents needs first. She was always there to answer my questions or to be a help in any way. She always makes me laugh and is always kind. Before moving in, Susan had introduced me to the Grounds Keeper Alan, The Leasing Manager Auti, the CM Annalisa and all the other members of her team, to help my move feel more welcome, and for that I am grateful. Since finally all moved in, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my apartment home!!! My initial feelings of moving from somewhere I lived for 11 years to a new home was not only scary, but it was really hard to fathom. Susan and the team at Griffis North Creek made those feelings go away and I am so happy here. Being a nurse and knowing how important it is to have a good team to function, that is what this team reminds me of, with excellent team work. They have made me feel at home and I have not felt that way for a long time. Kudos to the maintenance team for their diligence, their kindness and delivery of services when needed, always on point! I had the pleasure of living here for the last 4 years. I did recently move into a house, but I wanted to take the time to share my experience living here and also acknowledge the hard working staff here at Griffis. This is by far the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. The grounds are stunning and filled with greenery. It's well taken care of and maintained and also makes for a good walk! The staff are super attentive and always eager to help and they also take care of things in a super efficient manner. I always knew if I had anything come up it would be handled promptly and with care. The Management here is wonderful and always willing to hear you out and work with you on whatever may arise. I very rarely had any maintenance things come up with my apartment but when it did , the maintenance team was always professional and courteous and fixed things up great the first time. I lived in two different apartment layouts during my time here. Both had ample storage, tons of closet space and nice large patios with storage. This is nearly impossible to find anywhere else in Bothell at this price point. It was also the main reason I looked here in the first place. All the other added perks I found out about after and I'm so glad I had the experience that I did. In my opinion, you won't find anything better in apartment living and I highly suggest it!! read more

My job relocated me and my family from Texas to Washington and we decided to move to Griffis North Creek. During our time here, I cannot say enough nice things about Carolyn in the leasing office. From day one she has gone above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of and she took a lot of the stress out of a big move. She gave us virtual tours of some available units before we moved so we wouldn't be moving in sight unseen. On the day of move in, the person we signed our lease with said she would meet us there to get our keys. Unfortunately, she was not there, our unit wasn't ready and Carolyn stepped up to make sure it was properly cleaned, get our keys and welcome us to the property. In every interaction I had with her she addressed me by name, asked how my family was doing or remembered a previous conversation. If I ever had a question, she was very thorough in her responses and never seemed like she was too busy to help. Due to the pandemic, my family and I decided to move back to Texas. But, we enjoyed our time here. The property was great. We had one of the renovated units but Carolyn is what made our stay memorable. So, I'm giving these 5 stars to Carolyn! read more

We moved into this community just over a year ago. We love our home here and we love the community too! It is a larger community so sometimes parking can be a bit difficult, but the office continues to try to solve the parking problem. The apartment homes have high quality finishes and large windows, which is a huge plus! The community has lots of amenities - a year round heated pool with a beautiful cabana area , a WONDERFUL gym, outdoor BBQ area, off leash dog area, the list goes on. But, what we really love about living here is how accommodating and friendly the office staff is. We are always greeted with a smile, and if we have our pups with us they have water/treats for them in the office. We have had a few issues arise during our stay here - nothing that was anyone's fault, just unfortunate events - and the staff has gone above and beyond to ensure that we are OK and help anyway they can. Service requests are always handled very quickly, and the maintenance staff is great about cleaning up after themselves. Anyone on the fence- come in for a tour. The community is absolutely beautiful, and the staff make it even sweeter. :) read more

1. The first reason I give 5 star is because the leasing consultant in Griffis are really patient, nice and professional. I have to call out Kayla Ihler, who is my consultant and has been arranging everything before and between my leasing. Kayla is a very kind consultant with much more passion in her job and much more patient to help me resolve every problems I have. She introduced me the apartment very thoroughly and answered me every questions with details responsibly, which makes me feel like living at home. 2. The environment here is very nice and quiet. 3. The safety here is pretty good since I have seen that police patrolled even at midnight. Overall, this is a nice place to live. Even I just live here for a short term period, the impression here is good. I will refer my friends live here without hesitation. read more

Incredible Front Office Staff! Kayla and Carolyn are the unsung heroes of Griffis. Anything I needed, they were there for me! Kayla even helped when Maintenance was really busy - she went to my apartment to help with all the maintenance requests I had (upon 1st day of move in). She was so helpful, friendly, and handy with tools! Anytime I enter the front office, I am greeted like I'm a family member that everyone loves and misses. Hands down, the best front office staff experience I have had in apartment living in Seattle area! The maintenance staff is very fast! You put in a service request online at 9pm, they are there the next morning/afternoon to help! Wonderfully inviting tree lined front entry - so relaxing to drive through the trees after a stressful day at work. I love it here! read more

When I got a chance to tour the grounds of Griffis North Creek, it brought me back to when I was a kid. I lived in these apartments when I was younger. Emy was the leasing agent who showed me the complex again. She was a delight and very helpful and informative. I was there to look to see where I wanted to live after coming home from Arizona. The grounds look very well maintained, the paint on the outside looked to be brand new! The unit that I saw was clean and had looked to be well taken care of. I will definitely be considering these apartments due to not only the location and the quiet complex but Emy was extremely helpful, answered all my questions and treated me as a resident and not just a potential renter. read more

I moved here about a year ago and things have changed. At that time the people in the office were very helpful but, now things have changed. First of all, they never never pick up the phone. Every time I went there and asked them, there excuse was we were out showing other spots. Which is not true because at a time there are about 3 to 4 people in the office and all of them get busy at the same time?? So I've noticed the office has been slacking off and it's just wrong. They need to start working as if they WANT to be there not HAVE to be there. Problem parking my car. It wasn't the case before. I have lived at Griffis North Creek for 8 months now and have lived in apartment communities for the last 6 years. The North Creek community was the right choice for me as it is the most inviting apartment That I toured among moving to the Seattle area. Since I've lived here, the maintenance staff have been more than accommodating. Jason has personally replaced 2 of my appliances and helped fix multiple other issues. Emy in the front office has personally let out my dog when I have been in serious binds with traveling and work. Cooper and I take walks just to visit our friends in the front office. Would recommend for anyone looking for a place to live! read more

I have been living here at Griffis North Creek for the past 9 months. It has honestly been a really relaxing and fun experience. When first moving here, Salena was so incredibly helpful. If there was anything I needed, she provided it immediately. She was always so kind and welcoming. Another person who was very helpful is Susan. Throughout my time staying here, Susan has always been there to help provide immediate assistance and make sure any requests or changes I made were taken care of in an instant. With quarantine we were concerned looking for a new apartment site unseen but Carolyn Harper made it not only easy but exciting! She helped us easily find a beautiful unit within our budget and requirements via video and informed us on how to gain the incentives they were running. Griffis North Creek is a beautiful, clean, spacious property set in wet lands making it a lodge type feeling which we love! It also includes amenities for my dog! I relocated from Colorado and signed a lease before moving into an apartment. I couldn't have ASKED for a better experience, and have renewed multiple times. The property is large and somehow the office management does an amazing job at help us all out. Susan in particular has always been a great deal of help to me. From blind replacement to pandemic chaos, she has always extended a helping hand. No apartment experience is perfect, but Griffis has responded to issues and requests so well. I moved into these apartments in July, and have not had any bad experience with the staff, maintenance, or safety. The staff has been the best part about living here. Everyone in the front office is extremely friendly, always helpful, and welcoming. You can tell they really care about their residents. On top of that, the apartments are great! Bax was absolutely amazing, i had a issue with a light fixture and i put in a request for it to get worked on and the maintenance employee who showed up for the job was so sweet! she was super polite and didn't bang on the front door (which was so nice because i hate when people bang on the door instead of quietly knocking), super fast at fixing it and made conversation which is nice! makes it a little less awkward! I have lived at Griffis for 8 years and I love living here. The grounds are beautifully kept, maintenance is almost always on time and the workers are courteous and professional. Then there is the Rental Office staff. Susan and Eduardo are amazing. Kind, caring understanding. Never dismissive of any problem and always there to listen. Unless I relocate or buy house I can't imagine living anywhere else. read more
