I've lived at Parklane Townhomes for almost 14 years. They offer two- and three-bedroom townhomes. Townhomes are much more preferable to than apartments; you don't have anyone living above or below you. The complex is older (built in the mid 1980s I think) but the owners put money into maintenance of the townhomes. A couple of years ago all the buildings got new roofs. The units themselves are quite spacious, and were built when they used better quality materials so you don't really hear your neighbors much. All the units have washers, dryers and dishwashers. And the grounds are very well kept. And they do accept pets. Some restrictions on size and breeds. (You can't have a pony or a lion.) Pricewise you'll pay a bit below the market rate. A good value for the rent they charge. There are not a lot of amenities. No pool, excercise room, meeting spaces or playground. There is a basketball court where I've seen some of my neighbors playing cricket. The best of Parklane is the staff. Suzanne the current manager and Mike the maintenance tech are very responsive, efficient and friendly. When something breaks, I've never had to wait more than a day to get a visit. And if they can't fix an appliance, they don't hesitate to replace it. The community has a very nice, almost small town feel to it. I've actually met many of my neighbors and made some friends here. I've lived here for two years and have had great experiences as a resident during this time, especially with the change in management and maintenance staff in the last several months. They've been super responsive to any requests I've made, and communication has been terrific. The location is very convenient, though there is road noise the closer your unit is to BEH. Grounds are kept up so nicely, too! The change in maintenance staff in the last several months has been a welcome one - previous requests took a while to fulfill (perhaps due to COVID restrictions sometimes?), but since the turnover, my requests have been addressed so quickly and timeline for anything that required ordering parts was communicated to me right there. read more

She flat out lies to steal people's deposits . I am 40 years old and this is not the first place I have moved out from and I know what is standard . I have never paid more than 300-400 out of my deposit at move out . They want over 2500 ! The places ARE COVERED in MOLD and I had constant sinus infections for 2 years . I have been an apartment dweller pretty much my whole life. It fits my lifestyle: I have flexibility, and I can move when I need to based on what's going on in my life. I've lived at Parklane Townhomes for over a decade. It's been a great place to live. When you rent here, you need to know what Parklane is not: Not a lot of "amenities." No pool, clubhouse, exercise room, media room, 24-hour yoga instructor, concierge, or playground. (There is a basketball court, where I've seen residents play basketball, and cricket. I've learned a bit about cricket watching them.) This is a community for adults who want a quiet, safe, clean place to live. Still, there are kids here, and like kids are, they find each other and become friends and play outside. Sometimes they get loud. Not every day, and not for very long. If loud kids upset you, you might consider living somewhere else. Or remember when you were a kid. What Parklane is: Very spacious apartments. The rent is very reasonable based on the size of the apartments. Washers and dryers in each unit. Grounds are very well maintained and very attractive. When you live here, you are going to have professional staff. The onsite manager is very responsive - all of my calls and questions are responded to the same day. Maintenane technicians are friendly, responsive and above all they know how to fix things. In my 13 years living here, the dishwasher, garbage disposal and washer and dryer at some point stopped working. One phone call, and all were fixed or replaced within a couple of days. I can recommend Parklane Townhomes as a great place to live, for a year or beond. read more

I have loved living here since 2018 and never had an issue with the managers that were here nor the maintenance staff. We have rabbits and prior to moving in here, we had asked the then-manager if we would be able to have them because that was a big deal-breaker for us. The manager at the time said as long as they were caged it was fine and like any pet, we'd be responsible for any damage they made. Our pets do not roam the house, more so because we have a toddler and do not not want to add on more mess. Now, it is 2021 (we've been here now for almost 3 years) and we were told by the new manager and staff that our rabbits break the lease agreements. She didn't note anything on our lease that noted we have rabbits (how is that our fault? Wasn't that the job for the previous manager??) and on top of that, I am upset at the accusations and insinuations that we have been lying about them this whole time despite the fact that multiple in-home maintenances have been done and we have never once tried to hide them or remove them from the house. In a separate instance, we were even accused by the maintenance man Nat that we had personally changed out the doorknobs at our home even though we haven't changed a single thing in this unit. I even have dated video evidence of the doorknobs here when I took a video of a walk-through of the place when we first moved in. In yet another instance, we weren't told that a person would be coming in to look at our attic and someone came knocking on our door for an apparent rat that no one told us about (there wasn't one, fyi, but the fact that they thought there was and no one thought it would be a good idea to tell us is annoying). On top of all this, we have asked about whether we would be able to have our apartments updated as ours is severely outdated and we got no response. There was one time the lock on our door was broken and we had put in a request during office hours (We have a confirmation email on this). We waited that entire day and no one showed. It was already after office hours and we had to call maintenance since we OBVIOUSLY need to get into our house, you know? And he was visibly annoyed because he was already on the way home from our property and didn't want to turn around. He even asked if we could wait until the next day. We didn't want to be inconvenient but I get home from work around 11PM and have my 2 year old daughter with me and it isn't ideal nor safe for us to go around through our backyard door along with all our stuff back and forth that late at night. The manager told my husband that it wasn't an emergency but OUR LOCK TO OUR HOME WAS BROKEN so how is this not urgent? A neighbor of ours have had their water heater explode and their 2 year old had respiratory issues because of the conditions of their unit. We have had multiple next door neighbors, probably because no one wants to live here (literally have had like 4-5 different neighbors next door in the past 3 years). I have had my packages stolen and brought this to attention and management did nothing which warranted me buying a Ring doorbell. I suggested warning the other neighbors about package theft and no one did that. We were also not told to move our cars prior to the roof work they were recently doing and had calls asking us to do so in the early morning when both my husband and I work long night shifts and are sleeping usually in the morning. When I even asked when I was leaving the house if I needed to move the cars, I was told no. I left and went to work and not even 30 mins at work, I was being called by the manager to move our cars after I had asked more than once if this was needed before I left. Disorganization and lack of communication skills. JUST SOOOOO MUCH MORE I can say about this place. It seems like the new staff here don't even know their own units nor actually care about the tenants. I was looking forward to moving into a 3bd here this summer and be here longer but it doesn't look like that is feasible or possible. I am upset at the maintenance people here who have been nothing but rude to us. I am upset with the manager who doesn't seem to even know her own tenants. I'm just upset. The new management lacks empathy, communication skills, and organization. If you want to know about how it is to live here, just ask the tenants. Not to mention that we had emailed our frustrations like how I'm detailing here and got a lack-luster response. The units are run down, the staff is abhorrent now, and I feel unwelcome in a place that was otherwise perfect for the past 3 years. Just terribly disappointed. Don't move in! And believe me when I say I will be telling this to anyone I see prospectively looking at this property. read more

We moved her about a year ago. It is a wonderful place to live. Very kid friendly. I absolutely love my neighbors, we got very lucky! We have made some lifetime friends here. Suzy the manager is amazing and so friendly. Nat the maintenance manger is great! I will renew and stay here longer. I feel safe and I know my daughter is safe too. Great place to live. Lots of yard to play in for the kids and us adults. Wonderful community! read more

We have lived here for 25+ years, and we love our home and the atmosphere of the complex! The apartments are spacious and quiet. The current management of Suzy and maintenance of Nat are excellent! They are personable, friendly, professional and experts in their fields. We feel safe here, and there is a feeling of community. We love the layout of the apartment and each fourplex, and we knew the original owners who planned this complex and the care that was taken in building it. Much work is being done this year to renovate the grounds and structures. We highly recommend that YOU make this YOUR home, too! read more
