Pancake - short stack

Very busy breakfast restaurant tucked in the Henderson shopping plaza. Service was very quick, prices were decent for large portions. Homestyle cooked food that comfort the soul. Flavor 9/10 Definitely reminds you of an old country mom and pop restaurant that makes you feel right at home.

The lemon blueberry pancakes were off the chart!

One of the coolest things about living in the Las Vegas area is the sheer astronomical number of restaurants you can go visit. I'm not talking about chains, even though there are plenty of those. I'm talking about the amazing little mom and pop shops all over the valley. Griddle cakes is located off Eastern in Henderson. It's tucked away in a little shopping center but don't let the small exterior fool you. Once you walk through the doors, this place has plenty of booth and table seating. We were told by our server that this was the original location, apparently there are four, and they have been there for 17 years! That should tell you something right there. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and upbeat. They were quick to give recommendations. And nothing we had was disappointing. They let you do mixing and matching on the pancakes, I highly recommend the regular buttermilk, and the lemon blueberry. Both are amazing choices. Now I don't normally wax poetic about home fries, but these were simply amazing. Of special seasoning. They put on them, but they were some of the best potatoes I've ever had. I couldn't stop eating them. And on top of that, the restaurant passed the patented Dan Leadbetter's milk with breakfast test with flying colors. Honestly I don't have anything bad to say about this place... The only interesting thing was the bottles of syrup on the table are incredibly slow. But that may be a good thing. Otherwise my pancakes would be swimming in syrup! The bottom line? This place is on my short list of places to go, and bring people who come into town. You can't go wrong with griddle cakes!

Love when we get the opportunity to try new breakfast places ! Near the area we saw this place pop up on our maps and gave it a try the service was good staff was welcoming and we didn't have to wait for a table . The food didn't take too long and was good but not as fluffy as i hoped the pancakes are big so definitely great for sharing . The potatoes were our favorites very savory and were perfect temperature .Lots of choices so next time were near ill try different ones thanks again !

I love trying new places. I have always seen Griddlecakes but have never had the guts to try it as the one by my house has horrible reviews. Well, lets just say those reviews were wrong. The services here is great and the food was good. It did lack a little flavor on the hamburger meat but thats okay. The fries were crispy, the ranch was good. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and the biscut and gravy had great flavor. Come here and check this place out. Also good pricing on the food.

Tried Griddlecakes for the first time. All I can say is that if you haven't tried it you should. I ordered the Jack Pot breakfast and the potatoes and Griddlecakes were amazing. I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was warm and welcoming. You choose your seat when you walk in the waiters are all very nice. The environment is very comfortable. We got the crab benedict, country combo, and churro waffle. We didn't wait long for our food and it all tasted great - definitely try the churro waffle! The texture and flavor were amazing - I didn't particularly like the amount of butter in the middle, but that's just my preference.

We were craving some yummy breakfast so we headed over to Griddle cakes in the Eastern Promenade, off Eastern and 215. Service was friendly and inside was super busy. They have outside seating as well, but it was cold outside so we opted to sit indoors. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the peanut butter chocolate pancakes. It was our first time getting pancakes there and wow! They were huge. We made the mistake of getting a double stack and we didn't even make a dent in it. But it was super yummy with the fluffy pancakes. Chicken and waffles were good, but would love to have had hot sauce or something spicy to help with all the sweetness on the table. Griddle cakes is a staple and we will definitely be back.

We sat in for brunch, I had some biscuits and gravy and my friend had a garden skillet. And had coffee while we caught up. I loved the high tables and chairs, I'm short so high tables and chairs make me feel tall The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Our food was made and served quickly, our coffee never went empty, and the suggestions was awesome. I recommend this place if you're in the area, they're a great experience to share.

One thing I really wanna review here thats not your typical thing: their chicken noodle soup was SO GOOD. So hearty and homey. Id love to request this when Im sick haha. The sandwich was delicious as well. Paired really well with the soup. Service was pretty fast as well. And everyone here is always so friendly

I came into Griddle cakes for breakfast and enjoyed it a lot. Very comfortable cozy setting. I had the French toast which was my favorite. Not too sweet, and 1 piece of toast was very filling. I also had a carne asada breakfast burrito. It was coated in cheese & had eggs, with onions, fries, and cheese in the inside of it. I loved everything about it. Great service and reasonable prices. I will be returning.

I haven't been here in years but was in town visiting family AND we needed a dog-friendly patio. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. Our server was great. Perfect small brunch spot....

Monkey Business Griddlecake (Single). Delish!

Great neighborhood breakfast spot in Henderson, NV on Eastern Ave. Casual cafe offering seating inside and outside. Service was great. My waiter made sure to keep my coffee filled and nice and hot! I really enjoyed my Monkey business griddle cake. I had the single and it was very filling. Great prices too. We definitely look forward to dine here again!

Gluten free kids pancake. So glad they had a gluten free option!

There was about a 10 minute wait to order, which we didn't mind given how crowded it was. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when it was our turn. The staff member taking our order said, "do you know what you want?" in an unwelcoming tone. Even though, his tone turned me off, we still placed an order (...probably shouldn't have). We ordered the Freckled Redhead burger ($16) and the Chicken with Mac Waffle ($17). After ordering, we were given a number and waited outside. The food came out after about 20 minutes and we took it home to eat. A different staff member served our to-go order and she seemed nice. As much as we wanted to enjoy it, the food was just OK. The chicken was seasoned well but it seemed over fried, which made it dry. The waffle itself was decent but only had a small amount of mac and cheese inside. I had seen previous photos where mac and cheese was also served on the side, so that was disappointing. My boyfriend had the burger and said it was just OK as well...nothing special and not really worth the price. Overall, the staff member taking orders didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, and should probably take a break or work in the back. The food wasn't exciting like we hoped. We give it 2 stars. Even though we live nearby, we probably wouldn't return for the food. Maybe the coffee and drinks are better, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.

A friend recommended we stop here for breakfast or lunch on our way to Zion, Utah. We always make a…read morestop in Vegas to stock up on groceries and grab brunch before heading to Zion for camping. The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious - but they really need to step up their dishwashing and make sure the food is served hot. There's nothing worse than ordering coffee and seeing purple lipstick on the rim of your cup. It makes you want to leave right away. Then comes the inner debate - do you say something and risk being that customer, or just wipe it off and move on? On top of that, getting food that's supposed to be hot but arrives cold is frustrating. You sit there wishing you were at home where you could just microwave it - because the food is that good and would taste even better at the right temperature. Our experience wasn't helped by our waiter, who seemed disinterested after the lipstick incident (same guy mentioned in previous reviews that comes off rude AF/ agreed!). We didn't feel like asking for much after that. On the bright side, one of the waitresses was amazing - she looked like she was carrying the whole place. The chef clearly knows what she's doing because the food coming out of the kitchen was fantastic. That said, attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and serving hot food. There's no excuse for that. Despite these issues, I gave it five stars because the problems are fixable and don't take away from how incredible the food is. For reference, we visited on Friday, January 3rd, in the morning. There was a nearby parking structure and no wait time. The decor is a mix of farm-to-table and modern bistro - nothing overly exciting or disappointing. We were just looking for a good brunch spot, and this place is truly a hidden gem. Hopefully, they address the concerns we mentioned because it's worth coming back for! __________ To the Chef, Your food is incredible - truly Michelin-worthy. However, the staff is serving it cold and sometimes on dirty dishes. This isn't the first review mentioning these issues. Also, the tall white guy with grey hair was incredibly condescending and rude. Hospitality doesn't seem to be the right fit for him. It's disappointing to see someone like that representing the amazing work and love you pour into your dishes. On the flip side, the waitress with long brown hair was picking up the slack and holding the place together. She deserves recognition - maybe even a promotion. I hope you see this because if the team can consistently serve food hot and on clean dishware, this place could easily become the top brunch spot around. We appreciate your talent and hope this feedback is helpful! - Vee & Mike

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

Tender oxtail + nutty black rice wrapped in silky parmesan cream... rich, cozy, and completely "don't touch my plate." Gyro Tacos (feta crema, tomato cucumber relish) -- 5/5 Fresh, creamy, and bright--like a gyro decided to glow up. The feta crema is smooth and the tomato-cucumber relish keeps every bite crisp and balanced. Grilled Oysters (michelada butter, fried pickle) -- 5/5 Tangy, buttery, and briny in the best way, with that fried pickle adding a crunchy little plot twist. Bold flavors without being overwhelming. Crispy Chicken Skins (smoked honey) -- 5/5 Crunchy, sweet-salty perfection--like a snack that knows it's the favorite. The smoked honey is the "why are we still talking" finishing touch. "Devil's" Eggs (crispy pancetta, caviar) -- 5/5 (least favorite of my favorites, still delicious) Silky and luxe with pancetta crunch and a pop of caviar. Not my #1, but I'd absolutely order again. Pep on Pep Flatbread (pepperoni, pepperoncini) -- TBD/5 Took this to-go for later couch judgment. I'll update once we've properly reviewed it in snack mode. SERVICE 5/5 Gabriel at the bar area -- Exceptional service--super friendly and clearly knows the menu. Whomever curated this has incredible & varied music taste and it all works together! 90's R&B, Alternative, Grunge Rock, all of it so good! The menu has sections that you choose 2-4 items from and share with your table. We tried the Mushroom flatbread, the Pot Roast sandwich, the Beet Salad and the Grilled Oysters. The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!

Bacon Nation slaps slices on just about everything but French toast, and even that can be topped with bacon butter and bacon-infused syrup. The build-your-own omelet is a worthy breakfast, stuffed with two veggies and two meats of your choice. Cheddar, diced onion, and two types of bacon inside three eggs was a winner. Be sure to get some thick bacon slices to go (mango habanero, maple glazed, honey-cured) - always nice to chew on during that nine hour Sunday evening drive back to SoCal. And unlike those anorexic slices that fast food places put on their burgers, you can actually taste this bacon. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., they serve lunch too and if you're in 'growling stomach mode', try the Boarrito but be forewarned - this is a pork-fest of a monstrosity that's not designed for consumption by weight watchers or thoroughbred jockeys. A large tortilla filled with ham, sausage, bacon crumbles, pulled pork, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo is then wrapped on the outside with countless slices of more bacon, smothered with cheese sauce and sour cream...now I need to take a nap just thinking about digesting it.
