When I travel for work, I always try to visit local cafes in between meetings. This time, I visited Grey Squirrel Manor in Windsor, CA. As the name suggests, this cafe is squirrel themed, down to their wifi name and password. It's a cutesy little shop in the town square, right across the park. I had their café latte and a bagel lox. The bagel is beet bagel which gives it its gorgeous bright pink color and topped with black sesame seeds. I don't know that it tastes much of beets but I felt good about eating it. It was served up with cream cheese and salmon lox with micro greens and pickled red onions. The cafe's take on this classic works and the size was just right for a lunch serving. The latte was satisfying. You really taste the espresso and the steamed milk and creamy foam was the right pick me up I needed after my early morning drive. The cafe had plenty of outdoor seating. The inside also had a sitting area in the middle of the room with comfy couches. Plenty of tables and chairs along the windows too, perfect for working or just catching up with friends over coffee. Service was friendly and my barista was just as happy as can be. A local gem.

The new coffee shop downtown Windsor is the real deal!!! Their reviews speak for themselves! I've been hearing about them and seeing social media posts so I had to check it out for myself ! I came in at 2pm on a Sunday and it was packed busy. Not an empty seat inside!! Coffee shops these days feel cold and unwelcoming, but Grey Squirrel Manor is the opposite! They are very cozy and warm. Makes you want to hang out in there for hours! Just great vibes and fun wallpaper/merch etc. They have lots of seating and have some couches/comfy chairs inside and a big outside area with tables and umbrellas! The staff were all super nice and wonderful. They recommended the honey bee latte and that's what I got (iced). It was SO GOOD!! I can't wait to go back and try more! It was almost a 20min wait for my drink because they were BUSY, but it was worth it!!! My only 2 complaints was I tried to tip in cash and they said they preferred digital tips , she was very hesitant to take my cash tip, I think that was kind of weird. And also my medium iced drink (no modifiers) was $10. Kinda of steep for a medium drink. I do understand everything in the economy is expensive and prices are going up etc. However, I will definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone. but for me, it would only be a special treat type of visit because I couldn't afford to go get coffee there multiple times a week.

The cutest squirrel theming everywhere you look! My partner always calls me a squirrel, so when I saw all the squirrel paraphernalia it really called and spoke to me. The chai latte was rich and tasty and silky, no chalkiness whatsoever. I do think for $8 it was on the small side, very pricey! Conveniently located in the heart of Windsor which is cute and walkable. Loved all the decor and just wish the size of my chai was more generous!

Love this new addition to the Windsor town green! Fantastic service, creative beverage menu along with solid versions of the standard options. We had 2 of the specialty drinks and they were both great. I have never had a cafe de Olla made as latte but the house made syrup was perfect as it was not overly sweet as some can be overpowering. This version had the right mix. The drip coffee was also excellent, I understand they use Land and water beans. The ambience is warm and welcoming. Welcome to the neighborhood Grey Squirrel Manor, your locals will love you.

I'm really rooting for this new small business. The staff were friendly, and I understand that wait times are longer while they figure everything out! The ambiance is nice and I love the revamped decor! Unfortunately, the coffee we tried was just not good. We had an iced dulce de leche latte, which was a signature drink. For a 16oz to be $10, I am going in with high expectations. Weak espresso, lacking in any and all flavor, and the type of oatmilk that just makes a drink taste watery/slightly sour. Add $1 for oat milk, add in tax, add in a tip....and that's a pricey drink for it to not be good. I am so willing to come back and give it another try, maybe in a few more weeks when they really get into the swing of things. 4/5 everything in shop 3-/5 for the actual coffee

Wonderful new, modern, comfy, whimsical, specialty coffee shop that opened up in Windsor. I saw that they use Land and Water beans. I ordered a Gibraltar and it was solid; skillfully extracted. With that being said, I am looking forward to coming back and trying their other drinks, especially their cleverly named take on a London Fog. Everything leads me to believe that whoever opened up this shop or made the menu knows what they're doing. Rejoice Windsor coffee drinkers, we finally have a great shop in town. You no longer have to travel all the way to Healdsburg or Santa Rosa for a proper espresso drink.

Another fabulous experience at Grey Squirrel Manor ! This time, we got the spiced chai latte and the pink squirrel, both were delicious and unlike any drink we tried before :-) great customer service and fun atmosphere.

Grey Squirrel Manor is such a special addition to Windsor. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place was created with real intention. The space feels elevated but still welcoming, and every detail, from the branding to the presentation, is thoughtfully done. The drinks are incredible, beautifully crafted and genuinely some of the best I've had in the area. You can tell they care about quality and consistency, not just aesthetics. The team is also so kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of place you want to linger in, whether you're catching up with friends or just enjoying a quiet moment with a great coffee. Really excited to see this place continue to grow. Windsor needed this.

Expect a line on the weekend.

Crowded for good reason. Although prices run a little higher than some other coffee shops... it's worth it! Quality coffee drinks and elixirs. I'll be back!

For my first impression I'm really happy with the service I got here. Donald helped me at the register and he was very patient with us as it was our first time. We got two iced Dulce de leche lattes, I really love the cream they add on top. It's not like Starbucks cold foam, it's a thick whipped cream they add on top, it's really new and fun. We arrived around 2:30, and the staff still had a nice and welcoming energy about them, I always fell wary coming to places close to closing but they were beyond friendly. To my surprise, while waiting for my coffees, Donald gave me a squirrel cookie to sample, my kiddos loved it! And I really appreciated that kind gesture. As a mom, finding places that are family my friendly is very important to me. This cafe has upscale aesthetics while still offering accommodations like generous seating, aisles large enough to fit a stroller, bathrooms (a huge plus), and the cutest little toddler seating outside. My daughter had a great conversation with one of their baristas outside (unfortunately did not catch her name). Again, all things that really stand out to me, this family friendly business deserves 5 stars. Thank you, I'll be back to try the horchata latte!

Coffee was fine. Not sure the squirrel dominated English countryside concept warrants $6.50 for a basic and tiny 8oz latte.

When you walk in, there is a lot of open space and the inside felt comfortable. There was an open and flowing environment. That was great! So, where did it go wrong? The prices were just sky rocketed into another dimension. $7 a muffin and $7 a scone. I seem to have much better luck at the Farmers Market for less. I get it, there is a fancy building that needs to be paid for. Don't come here for dairy free option if you're looking for something in the sweet and savory department. There are GF options but those are still rittled and laced with butter and dairy. Like, bread is your only choice if you're dairy free. The gentlemen that helped me told me to get a loaf of bread. So I did. $12. I went with the Rosemary, olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread. The good news is, it was nice and soft like an Air b n b pillow. The bad news is, it had more salt than the ocean. With copious amounts of olive oil saturated the bag before I left the parking lot (see attached pic). My husband was not a fan either and we left the loaf of bread out for the pigeons.

It's got all the things that make my mind go 'ding!' when I see it. Words like: ricotta, smoked salmon, avocado, eggs. All words that make me take a second look. I had come because I saw they had an egg salad toast, (I am an egg salad fiend!) but there were so many yummy options, it was a difficult decision. I ended up ordering the smoked salmon toast, which had cream cheese, cucumbers, amazingly high quality smoked salmon, capers, pickled shallots, and it was supposed to have microgreens, but they were out so, they put avocado on top on levain bread. It was seriously delicious. So fresh and high quality, portioned perfectly for lunch. As I get older, I kinda just want a well-portioned lunch that's healthy. I love my greasy heavy options every once in a while, but for 'everyday fare' - you want something that is good, high quality and doesn't weigh you down. This is perfect for that! With everything so expensive nowadays, I'd rather pay a decent price for something high quality and well portioned... there's so much mediocrity out there, it makes me tired thinking I have to pay $20 for lunch nowadays and it's not even that good. ... Might as well stay home and heat up a trader joe's frozen meal. :P But sometimes, I don't wanna do that! So for those days, I guess I'll be coming here to try another menu item. Plus, the cafe is cute, and a place you want to sit in and eat your food, making it comfy. And I like comfy! I need comfy, nowadays. Glad I found this hidden gem! Also, the owner is super nice, and clearly cares about his food. And that counts for a lot!
