Green savers have become my really good friends... They performed a free energy audit and we discovered many deficiencies in our home insulation windows, attic space, etc. Once they audited her home, they helped us come up with a plan to begin some of this work, which was of a really great help. They probably installed insulation in our attic of the main house, placed placed vents from both bathrooms to the exterior of the roof... The original vents vented into the attic space. They sealed off the top of all interior walls and exterior walls, insulated pipes and several other things in her attic. Some of the newer structure for example, a new bathroom had open space between attic and outside and our interior bathroom creating havoc with rodents and flying insects. That has not been resolved. They also provided a very economical air-conditioning system for my wife's large shop in the second building on our property. We also have two new windows being replaced. The follow-up audit showed a tremendous increase in in our rating... Which demonstrates great insulation. We have already noticed a difference... Especially lack of insects in her home. Having moved into our home in time to be snowed in over Thanksgiving, when spring sprung we took the first important step toward making this house our own: We called GreenSavers to help us make our home energy efficient. It was the right step to take. Soon, with the Blower Door Test sucking all the air out of our house, we discovered every leak as air gushed in through openings we could not see, except with their infrared scanner, but we could definitely feel. When access to some areas seemed impossible without cutting holes in walls, workers showed their expertise by installing vents along the roof that allowed access both for insulation and for air to circulate, thus preventing mildew. Our original plan was to change out our windows for more efficient ones. GreenSavers convinced us that wasn't the best use of our resources so we had a major upgrade in practical energy conservations measures and they did a extremely detailed and time-consuming job in completing everything from adding insulation, window and door sealing, plugging holes inside the cold air return (one fellow actually had to wiggle down inside the ductwork to patch a huge gap). They said we'd notice the difference in our utility bills especially in the winter. That has been an absolute fact; we've seen our kilowatt use drop by 35% over the coldest months. We also upgraded the furnace and added a heat pump and expect our house will also be quite comfortable in the summer. We spoke with a GreenSavers rep during a visit to a local outside event and signed up for their energy audit. We were pleased at the time they spent going through the house from crawlspace to attic. They gave us a verbal report before they left followed by a comprehensive written report, including pictures of the spaces that needed updating for insulation and venting along with a proposal for the cost to address each item. They returned to review the estimate and discuss the written report in person. The workers were polite and courteous and as another reviewer noted, committed to what they do. After the work was completed, they ran the same tests to validate they got the results promised and again, followed up with a written report with pictures showing the updates. Recommend this organization without reservation. Services provided included an energy audit and fan test. An IR detector was available which identified specific areas of energy loss and validated solutions that would have impact. We followed the audit with a sealing process to reduce energy loss to the living areas as well as markedly increased insulation and sealing of the attic area. Estimate and detail of the proposal was excellent. Project was completed without any surprises; no add-on costs developed. Very satisfied. Crew polite and competent. Greensavers worked effectively with our utility to compare energy audit findings as well as coordinate receipt of rebates for completed work. We moved into our 2 story house 2 1/2 years ago and it was always too hot or too cold especially upstairs. I was thinking about changing the windows when I came across Greensavers and decided to have them do an energy audit. Gosh am I glad I did! They were so thorough and it was very clear that changing the windows was not the most important thing to do. Then I had their crew do work on the insulation and filling in all the air gaps (there were a LOT!). They saved me a ton of money and the house feels more comfortable now. I would say that the energy audit is a MUST for any home owner so you can see exactly where you are losing heat/cooling. I was very surprised by the results. GreenSavers installed central air and heat at our home. This included a cutting in the vents, ductwork, a gas furnace and an air conditioner (and everything else that goes with it). We were very happy with all stages of the process, from initial assessment through getting the quote from Megan, project scheduling and management with Taylor, the foreman Josh came out and did the pre-construction walkthrough and was here every day of the job. Kyle and Luke were here on our job also. Everything went smoothly. We signed up at the Home Show for an energy audit at their discounted rate. I saw most of the audit activities except for the crawl space and saw first hand what they found. They spent four days adding/repairing/replacing insulation, roof vents, new duct plenums and plugging holes. We also asked them to install two new ductless systems in our upstairs rooms. My most vivid memory of the activities was often coming across the leadman in an unexpected place and finding him doing something to improve energy efficiency in that spot. Overall I was extremely impressed with all of their work. The first electric bill was significantly less than normal and the house temperature is much more uniform. We barely run the AC this summer. read more

Their initial quote and installation process is very professional, and the work was good. A few months later I found two of the baffles they installed were coming loose. A project manager came over to address the issue within a few days. After he left I went back to inspect the work and still found that it was not 100% complete. I corresponded with the PM several more times wherein he pushed back saying it would be $80/hour for him to look at it further. I emailed him two more times with questions after that and he now will not respond. Thus the 2-star rating here is for the poor customer service I received from the Project Manager on this issue AFTER they already had my money. I expect more. read more

We had Greensavers come out and give our home a check-up. It's kind of funny, you go to the doctor for checkups, you take you vehicles in for checkups, but I've never thought about getting the house a check-up. Well, sure enough there's places in the house that need some attention. The guys who came out were very thorough and found things insulation wise I would have never seen. When you have people come to your house, it's always kind of a roll of the dice. I was really happy that Greensavers left our house in better shape than when they came. Probably the best part is that they know about all the rebates so you don't have to try and figure that out and they make it happen for you. read more

I hired GreenSavers to replace a broken second-story window. These guys were very professional and did very quality work. Once I handed over the deposit check, they took complete control of the project, and went above and beyond to see it through to completion. They replaced all the trim around the window too, and came out on a Saturday to get the window installed on the week that they said they would. They even used extra paint from the touch up to patch some paint damage I had elsewhere on the house. Highly recommended! read more
