    Breakfast menu

OMG this place is quite cute and little. It gives that hometown feel with great food. The whole staff is friendly and on top of their tables!!!! First I always order iced tea and sit forever waiting for a refill. Our server brought a carafe with extra when he first brought out the drink. Found this place by searching the internet for breakfast in Placerville! Menu is small but full of flavor. I really don't like the restaurants that have a book for a menu. I have included pictures of the menu. I ordered a build your own omelette and hubby had a country breakfast. Can I just say my compliments to the chef. I NEVER finish my food and I cleared my plate! Seriously, if you are in the area, I encourage you to stop by and have a bite to eat!

Quaint little place that reminds me of a spot I used to go to in the bay area. Staff is very friendly, decor gives off that unique small country breakfast spot vibes. Good coffee, none of that it's been sitting for an hour burning tinge. Country breakfast was very good, I did pepper the living heck out of it, but that's normal for me. Added a side of sausage to mix into the gravy and it added just the right amount of flavor to knock it up that extra notch. The menu is smallish, which is great, some places have menus so large you wonder if the chef knows what is actually going on with everything. Wife had the build your own omelet with crisp hash brown. Haven't seen her eat an entire omelet in years. She cleaned her plate this time. Only thing she left behind was left over ketchup that wasn't used on her hash browns! She was impressed! Really enjoyed this little place that's tucked away in a small shopping center. Again, staff was great, chef did a great job as well. If you're looking for a small business to visit for some eats, this place is a great option!

Greenhouse Cafe embodies all the best things that a local neighborhood cafe offers... tasty food served by the nicest staff. The signature menu items that I absolutely find to be the best around is the turkey club sandwich and eggs benedict. For the sandwich they use real fresh roasted turkey. Ohh that makes a huge taste difference. The bacon is cooked to a perfect crispness, no rare edges and not burnt either. The egg benedict's hollandaise sauce is fantastic. Smooth with a just right consistency and emulsification. Flavorful, buttery with oh so slight lemon taste. The eggs are poached to treat you to a show of egg ooziness when pierced. On days they are short staffed, they tape a sign on the front door indicating that and apologizing for the possible longer service times. In any given day, you'll probably see Claudia, the owner, working. She has a great friendly demeanor. Another thing to note is the bathroom situation. It's located around the corner of the cafe. To access it, you'll need to ask for the key. It's kept clean.

This place is great! Little clean diner atmosphere with the hometown feel. The service is wonderful, had everything we needed at all times. Food came quick, fresh, hot, and delicious! Love the options of mini breakfast and mini lunch options. Can't wait to come back!

Cute little place in Placerville near Raley's. It's in an older strip mall and has a classic old style diner look. Homey and welcoming. The menu is simple but the breakfast was solid. I had eggs and bacon. I like my bacon a little floppy and it was perfect, as were my poached eggs. My sourdough toast was great - usually I wind up throwing away half my toast but I ate all of it. The bread tasted really fresh. My husband had the breakfast burrito - a generous portion with plenty of avocado on top, which I happily took off his hands. He liked it but thought the inside was dry - could use a little sauce. All in all a nice, welcoming place for breakfast and great service and atmosphere.

They serve organic coffee and I could really taste the difference. They currently have a seasonal menu and their regular menu included some unique options. The maple latte caught my eye; I ordered it with oat milk and it was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Seriously! It wasn't overpoweringly sweet, but there was enough flavor so it actually tasted like a maple latte instead of a warm milk as many special drinks end up tasting from my experience. It's always disappointing to buy an expensive coffee that doesn't have enough flavor, but you'll get what you pay for here. They offer a few little snacks and there is tons of seating (indoor and outdoor!) with beautiful natural light, art and plants. The baristas were kind and helpful and made beautiful latte art. If you love it as much as I did, you can even buy coffee beans and merchandise as well. It's tucked away in downtown placerville and I would highly recommend Pachamama to everyone!

This particular one is in Placerville, right on touristy Main Street. Well It's actually tucked in a shopping pedestrian alley right off Main Street. The coffee is delicious. I've had their various drip coffees before, all terrific tasting. My usual go to's are their lattes. This time I was in the mood for a seasonal winter drink, wintermint mocha. Yum! I ordered it with oat milk and they don't up charge. The mocha had a smooth, creamy chocolate espresso taste. I even got a pretty design of foamed milk on top of my drink. Aww it was cute. No up charge for that as well and I didn't even ask them to do it Outside the cafe is an outdoor courtyard with bistro tables for folks to sit n enjoy their coffee or whatever. I say whatever because the area is open for all to sit a spell. The courtyard is enclosed with brick buildings around its square perimeter. The buildings provide ample shade and cooling temps in the summer. Plus there is a water fountain that provides a calming zen like sound of trickling water. The cafe also has an indoor seating area. The interior furniture includes tables, sofas, lounge chairs, and high top tables aesthetically giving off modern, minimalist Scandinavian design vibes. Luvin this look.

Definitely good for people watching. Got a couple sandwiches: Banh Mi - seeing the list of ingredients I was excited for this one. Never seen a place use lap chung in banh mi. The sandwich itself was kind of underwhelming. First of all, it's not on a French roll. Because of this, the moisture from the slaw soaked the entire bottom bun, making it difficult to eat. Also, the lap chung was slice into small coin sized pieces, rather than lengthwise, which means it all fell out when you tried to eat the sandwich. All the ingredients inside pretty much masked the taste of the sausage so you really didn't get the taste. I didn't get how this was supposed to be a banh mi. Honey Walnut - this was ok. Kind of standard honey walnut. In theory this sounded great but it's a tad rich and needs something to cut through it. There were a ton of other sandwiches and maybe we should've tried others but for the two we got it was just alright.

I don't have high expectations for this place, aside from it being on the river I was expecting possibly cool views and mid coffee at best. So we drove a little over an hour to get here. We had nothing else to do lol. Warning if you get car sick easily, the drive up is a very winding road but a beautiful drive. We arrived about 11am. This is lunch hour, so they serve their lunch items. They're only open until 3pm. They have a very short, simple menu. Just a couple sandwiches. Honestly I wasn't expecting much. When we arrived it's an extremely old town. The coffee shop was so so small. There is a good amount of seating inside , they designed it pretty well to get as many seats in there. However , it can feel congested and claustrophobic. They have plenty of picnic tables outside that lead up to the river. So many photo ops. Absolutely beautiful. After we ate we went exploring . You can even pan for gold, and some historical buildings to explore inside which was neat. Service was friendly and fast. Turned out to be a beautiful unexpected adventure coming here. Oh! Almost forgot about the coffee and food. So as I mentioned, I thought it would be basic, mid. I was impressed with the coffee flavors, I ordered Cinder & Smoke and the matcha latte. The matcha was well made and you can taste they used good quality matcha, I loved the hint of smokiness without being overly sweet in the Cinder & smoke latte. Also tried out the Coloma Caprese panini. It tasted amazing. Very fresh. I was surprised I enjoyed it that much. So if you're up for a day of adventure, this place is definitely worth visiting.

That restaurant moved down the road to a bigger location. Now it's the home for Sunshine Donuts. They have darn delicious donuts! I only tried their donuts; at least for now. They also sell bagels, breakfast sandwiches, hot coffee, and a humongous cold case of nonalcoholic drinks (milk, teas, sodas, seltzers, waters. juices, energy drinks, and coffee drinks). Lots of drink choices to quench your thirst even if donuts aren't your thing. I know my way around a donut. Having been a connoisseur from an early age, thanks dad. The donuts sat so prettily behind the glass counter. All so gorgeous without bubbling and cracked glazes. That tells me they know how to handle the various doughs and baking methods for the donuts. I bought one of each: cake, glazed and old fashion. And ate them right away. Mmm. Delicious. The vanilla cake with white frosting tasted rich and dense like a cake. Not heavy. The glazed donut was light, fluffy, with a slight all so prefect signature donut chew. Beautiful glazing, not too sweet. My favorite. The old fashion like the cake donut had a tasty cakey interior but classic crackly outside texture. The family that owns the business knows donuts! And are so welcoming, epitome of a local donut shop. Throwing out a history lesson: This area is informally called Gutenberg Corner. The Victorian house across the street was built around 1859 by the local mill owner. Then purchased in 1912 by pharmacist Gutenberg. He owned a 400+ acre ranch along with a pharmacy. Asian owned business.

We arrived and while the place was busy, we were seated right away at a table of our choosing. We both went back and forth about what to order, so many things sounded good. My husband opted for their classic egg Benny and I did a two egg (over easy) breakfast with a burger patty, country potatoes, and sourdough toast. Eggs with a burger patty is a breakfast I eat very often and I love it- kind of like a poor man's version of steak and eggs. Food arrived in an acceptable amount of time. Hubby's eggs Benedict looked great. As soon as they set my plate down, I knew I'd made a mistake. That burger patty was clearly a pre-made frozen one and just looked so sad. I barely managed a few bites of it. Absolutely no flavor or seasoning, still tasted awful after I heavily salted and peppered it myself. The meat was like pure mush. Worst excuse for a burger patty I've ever had. It honestly kind of turned my appetite a bit. Thankfully my eggs were cooked very well and the toast was good. Potatoes were decent, though a bit on the cold side when they arrived. My husband seemed to enjoy his meal but said the hollandaise was a tad watery. Giving this place 3 stars because the service was really nice. I have a feeling a lot of the other things on their menu would be great. But lord, that burger was absolutely pitiful.
