8/17/25 Hidden gem of a brunch spot. Thanks to a sweet neighbor for recommending this place to us. Feather was our server and she's so sweet and efficient. We ordered (2) Chicken Fried Steak one with country potatoes and the other with hash (extra crispy and with onions and peppers). Loved that they gave you the option to add onions and peppers if you want it. I ordered the home made corn beef hash with 2 eggs and hands down one of the better corn beef hash I've had. Hubs ordered country chicken waffles. Chicken tenders chopped up, and the waffle was ok. Parking available. Cute cozy place. We'll be back.

Breakfast burrito!

This place is awesome for breakfast! Extra friendly staff and the food is very good for a small café in the middle of nowhere. Definitely recommend you stop by on your way to Tahoe or Placerville. The waitresses are super sweet and the place is indeed very cozy! I recommend the breakfast burrito.

Philly cheesesteak and fries and a Veggie omelet with bacon in it and hashbrowns

Great service, very welcoming... I ordered the veggie omelet with bacon added and hashbrowns. My mom and bro split a Philly cheesesteak with fries. All pretty good! They also had cholula and their bathroom is nice too!

California Omelette with country potatoes. So very delicious and very generous portions.

I am visiting Diamond Springs for the first time. As a volunteer for a local animal rescue organization in the SF Bay Area, I am transporting seven cats and kittens to be spayed or neutered, after which they will be available for adoption. Due to my early morning departure, I did not have time for breakfast. Following the drop-off at a local veterinary clinic, I searched for a nearby breakfast establishment on Yelp and discovered the Cozy Oaks Cafe, which I decided to try. Upon arrival, a friendly young woman greeted me and offered me the choice of seating. I found the atmosphere of this establishment to be inviting, cozy, and comfortable. She presented me with a menu and a cup of coffee. I opted for the California Omelette, accompanied by country potatoes and toast. My order was delivered with a smile and a coffee refill. Notably, the portions were generous, and I was unable to finish my meal. The omelette was delicious, and the country potatoes were cooked to perfection. The presentation of my plate was visually appealing, indicating that the chef takes pride in their culinary skills. The young woman inquired if I needed a takeout box, which I declined due to being out of town. I explained my reason to avoid any misunderstanding about my enjoyment of the meal. She informed me that she would return with my check. A few minutes later, she returned and stated that someone had already taken care of my bill. I was taken aback and expressed gratitude to her and the anonymous individual. Overall, I intend to return for another meal on my next visit to the area.

What an adorable place! The service was exceptional! Feather was precious and efficient! A lot of locals were in enjoying a late breakfast and wanted Feather's attention and somehow she was able to make us all happy! The food is delicious and PLENTIFUL! We ordered the specials and they were fantastic! We will definitely come back!

Gluten free cocoa pancake. Yum!

Worth the $$. I love this place. The staff is friendly and has that mom and pop homey vibe. Food was great. Large portions. I like that it doesn't feel too heavy or greasy. They use avacado oil to cook with instead of some of nastier unhealthy oils. I tried their Gluten free cocoa pancakes and they were amazing! I would come back just for Those!

Under new management, cozy oaks has a whole new look and feel. Very cute place and delicious food

Entrance of cozy oaks cafe. Truly, the best corned beef and hash we've ever had in a restaurant!

Came to cozy oaks cafe searching for a local, delicious breakfast for my family and I after camping for a few days. Greeted warmly by the server, coloring books for kiddos, served piping hot coffee, and had a wide range of food on their menu! Notably, they said they had the best corned beef and hash in town, and they did not disappoint!! (They said they locally source their meat too). We also had the vegetarian omelette and hash browns. Flavorful vegetables and crispy hash browns that didn't leave a pile of oil under them. We left full, satisfied, and this definitely won't be our last time there! Thank you, cozy oaks cafe!

Yummy hot chocolate in the cutest mugs!

They serve organic coffee and I could really taste the difference. They currently have a seasonal menu and their regular menu included some unique options. The maple latte caught my eye; I ordered it with oat milk and it was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Seriously! It wasn't overpoweringly sweet, but there was enough flavor so it actually tasted like a maple latte instead of a warm milk as many special drinks end up tasting from my experience. It's always disappointing to buy an expensive coffee that doesn't have enough flavor, but you'll get what you pay for here. They offer a few little snacks and there is tons of seating (indoor and outdoor!) with beautiful natural light, art and plants. The baristas were kind and helpful and made beautiful latte art. If you love it as much as I did, you can even buy coffee beans and merchandise as well. It's tucked away in downtown placerville and I would highly recommend Pachamama to everyone!

This particular one is in Placerville, right on touristy Main Street. Well It's actually tucked in a shopping pedestrian alley right off Main Street. The coffee is delicious. I've had their various drip coffees before, all terrific tasting. My usual go to's are their lattes. This time I was in the mood for a seasonal winter drink, wintermint mocha. Yum! I ordered it with oat milk and they don't up charge. The mocha had a smooth, creamy chocolate espresso taste. I even got a pretty design of foamed milk on top of my drink. Aww it was cute. No up charge for that as well and I didn't even ask them to do it Outside the cafe is an outdoor courtyard with bistro tables for folks to sit n enjoy their coffee or whatever. I say whatever because the area is open for all to sit a spell. The courtyard is enclosed with brick buildings around its square perimeter. The buildings provide ample shade and cooling temps in the summer. Plus there is a water fountain that provides a calming zen like sound of trickling water. The cafe also has an indoor seating area. The interior furniture includes tables, sofas, lounge chairs, and high top tables aesthetically giving off modern, minimalist Scandinavian design vibes. Luvin this look.

Definitely good for people watching. Got a couple sandwiches: Banh Mi - seeing the list of ingredients I was excited for this one. Never seen a place use lap chung in banh mi. The sandwich itself was kind of underwhelming. First of all, it's not on a French roll. Because of this, the moisture from the slaw soaked the entire bottom bun, making it difficult to eat. Also, the lap chung was slice into small coin sized pieces, rather than lengthwise, which means it all fell out when you tried to eat the sandwich. All the ingredients inside pretty much masked the taste of the sausage so you really didn't get the taste. I didn't get how this was supposed to be a banh mi. Honey Walnut - this was ok. Kind of standard honey walnut. In theory this sounded great but it's a tad rich and needs something to cut through it. There were a ton of other sandwiches and maybe we should've tried others but for the two we got it was just alright.

I don't have high expectations for this place, aside from it being on the river I was expecting possibly cool views and mid coffee at best. So we drove a little over an hour to get here. We had nothing else to do lol. Warning if you get car sick easily, the drive up is a very winding road but a beautiful drive. We arrived about 11am. This is lunch hour, so they serve their lunch items. They're only open until 3pm. They have a very short, simple menu. Just a couple sandwiches. Honestly I wasn't expecting much. When we arrived it's an extremely old town. The coffee shop was so so small. There is a good amount of seating inside , they designed it pretty well to get as many seats in there. However , it can feel congested and claustrophobic. They have plenty of picnic tables outside that lead up to the river. So many photo ops. Absolutely beautiful. After we ate we went exploring . You can even pan for gold, and some historical buildings to explore inside which was neat. Service was friendly and fast. Turned out to be a beautiful unexpected adventure coming here. Oh! Almost forgot about the coffee and food. So as I mentioned, I thought it would be basic, mid. I was impressed with the coffee flavors, I ordered Cinder & Smoke and the matcha latte. The matcha was well made and you can taste they used good quality matcha, I loved the hint of smokiness without being overly sweet in the Cinder & smoke latte. Also tried out the Coloma Caprese panini. It tasted amazing. Very fresh. I was surprised I enjoyed it that much. So if you're up for a day of adventure, this place is definitely worth visiting.

My husband and I just wanted a smaller meal for lunch that day, so we settled on the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. While the portion sizes are on the smaller side, they were balanced and filling for what we wanted (as well as very reasonably priced), and we ended our meal with an in-house baked oatmeal raisin cookie. The cookie was huge and packed with oats but still delicious, with the proper texture and not overly sweet. Our sandwiches were simple yet delicious, with fresh ingredients and bread. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and so so good, I love when clam chowder has potatoes with the skin still attached. Our food also arrived pretty quickly, I would say within 10 minutes of ordering. Water is self-serve.
