Dinning at the greenhouse this evening with my father. Caroline was amazing!!! We had to make open table reservations prior to coming here; we were seated immediately. I ordered the Georgia Peach cocktail and my dad had a beer. We got a meat and dips plate and house pickles for appetizers. On the dip store they have a tomato dip with a green dip with roasted onions and garlic on top, they also have a ricotta spread however, I can't do that because I can't do cheese here at the second plate has a strawberry, balsamic jam, mini Erkins, pickled okra, a salami, a pork, and a ham and then some bread. The roasted tomato dip is very creamy and has a light drizzle of olive oil on top. Greendale and zucchini dip is very light and refreshing. It's a little bit less oily than the roasted tomato hummus. There is a strawberry jam on the plate. It tastes really good with the salami and the chip. Dinner I got the burger with a lettuce wrap and some chimichurri and some vegan aïoli. I later ordered some ketchup and hot sauce to go with my burger and seasonal veggies. My dad got the meat, meatball and rigatoni and he cleared the whole plate. For dessert I got the lemon sorbet, which is absolutely amazing and it taste like if you were to eat the lemon candle from Yankee candle. The ambiance is an upscale southern restaurant. I am so sad to give this review since is is such a beautiful restaurant and good restaurant options are needed in our area that are not chains and I hope it this is taken as more as constructive criticism for them to improve, but here it goes. The restaurant is definitely stunning inside , I gave it a star for that and another star for what their menu offered. I have been to their speak easy upstairs, which is also nicely decorated, where their small plates were decent, but they couldn't make a dirty martini, truly dirty. We went for brunch with high expectations ignoring the fact that the prices were high, since I am willing to pay good money for good food that I personally dont need to cook. Unfortunately this visit came out very short. There were 4 of us and two had to send the food back. Chicken and waffles, the chicken was way over cooked and the waffles came out cold...butter would not melt on them and the fritatta had no flavor. They were gracious enough to replace their orders (thank yoi) and my Mom really enjoyed the peach French toast and my friend ordered the breakfast burger, which she said was much better. Now for the breakfast burger review since my other friend and myself got it. We both loved the burger, toppings, running yolk egg (Thank you for using /supportingquality meat from Hunter Cattle, it is where I buy my meat for home). The bun, which I am sure was gluten free, which they are looking to cater for was like a brick for the burger, and I get that it may be needed for people who need it , but an lighter option for people not gluten intolerant would be great. While the fries were cooked well, they were way over salted and I am no salt sensitive.. .less is more and if people want that much salt they can add it at the table. I am sorry, but at this time I will not be going there again due to the pricing and the fact that even though they were gracious enough to replace the meals the service soured a little after their returns. For the SPEAKEASY UPSTAIRS: We were told you have to have a reservation to go to the SPEAKEASY that's on the upstairs of the restaurant -we made the reservation at 4:30 PM on a Friday night and we were the only people there for at least 45 minutes. It didn't seem that busy so I'm not sure why reservations are required, but it's a really pretty space upstairs. It's a limited snack menu and they do have nice drinks, but my husband wanted a pour of bourbon and they really didn't have an extensive selection as far as that goes. It was more of craft cocktails mixed and some beers. The downstairs restaurant and bar looked really nice so we'll probably just check that out next time instead for more selection of bourbon and food. read more

Had a great brunch at the Greenhouse. Had reservations so was seated immediately. The waiter (I forget his name) was prompt, patient and not intrusive. You could tell he liked his role and knew both the drink and food menu. The brunch menu is imaginative and has some of the standard things but with a fresh farm twist. The ambience is great and love the surroundings. It is a bit loud but that is because there was a large party nearby but it wasn't bad at all. Highly recommend the Greenhouse. We will be going back for dinner and would also like to try the upstairs Speakeasy on Thurs/Fri/Sat evenings read more

A fabulous new restaurant in downtown Bluffton! The whole menu is gluten free, but you would never know it. The food is delicious and very fresh. The flavors of everything we tried were amazing and there was so much more on the menu I wanted to try. The greens were fresh as can be and they meats are local. Finally a cool moderm hip restaurant with a great vibe . Came here with my Girlfriend tonight and I saw lots of bad reviews so I was a bit worried. As a former business owner there will always be some opening kinks too get figured out but complainers will always be complainers. Love the Gluten Free since I have recently had too become Gluten Free due horrible allergies to Gluten. Everything my gf and I had was excellent flavor and tasty . I had the Gin Basil Cocktail and it was so fresh and delicious, highly recommend. We shared 3 apps, Carrotts , Beef Dip and Crab dip .. Yummmy to everyone. Very unique . We also had the trout and it was fantastic. Only thing I would recommend is making the Speakeasy more available. I visited Greenhouse with two friends and unfortunately the meal fell far below expectations. We ordered several appetizers and two main dishes, and nearly everything was either overly salty, overcooked, or poorly balanced. The Kale salad was so heavily dressed with vinegar it was difficult to eat. The fried snapper was served over peaches that were underripe and hard. My burger was ordered medium but arrived well‑done. The staff was polite, but the food quality and execution were consistently sub‑par. The building's exterior is beautiful, but once inside, the atmosphere shifts to more of a cafeteria feel -- loud, echoing, and dominated by artificial greenery covering the ceiling and bar. With the high ceilings, the noise level made conversation a challenge. Overall, the meal and ambiance didn't match the price point or the promise of the exterior. read more

We had a party of eight visit the upstairs speakeasy last night to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing, especially given the price point and expectations for a place like this. Our reservation was for 7:30, but our table was not ready when we arrived. It seemed as though management was not prepared for our reservation. We were told to wait by the bar and grab drinks in the meantime, but the bartender showed very little interest in serving our group. Once we were finally seated, the service did not improve. We were there for about an hour and a half, and everyone in our party only received two drinks. Our first round alone took at least 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the mezcal cocktail, which is supposed to come with a unique presentation that is part of the experience. Unfortunately, our server seemed completely uninterested in providing that experience, which was disappointing. At one point, instead of bringing our drinks, staff attempted to bring us food we had never ordered. We had already eaten at another location and were only there for drinks and the birthday celebration. On top of the service issues, we were not impressed with the cocktails themselves. The speakeasy also was not busy -- aside from our table, there were only a few people sitting at the bar -- so it was difficult to understand why service was so slow. We are not a group that typically complains, and everyone in our party lives in Bluffton. We understand that restaurants have off nights, but when cocktails are priced at this level, there is a reasonable expectation for both the drinks and the service to match. What was most disappointing was that there was no apology or acknowledgment from management despite the issues throughout the evening. We chose the speakeasy specifically to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday and were looking forward to a fun, memorable experience. A restaurant that takes food allergies seriously is so hard to find. The happy hour menu is great and I love seeing new things to try on the menu. We've had friendly service every time we come here! We went for brunch and had high expectations. The building is beautiful and the inside is lovely. Didn't realize it's all gluten free food. None of us really liked our meals Bland food. French toast was dry and tasteless. If you're on a gluten free diet then you'll be happy. Really needs more variety to cater to a wider audience. Service was good. read more

Had reservations at 6 or so, couldn't find a parking place and had to walk in the rain. The place looks great, but the noise was too loud to talk across the table. New waitress had trouble with the orders, but only one came out incorrectly. The food was adequate, but expensive for the portions. My guess is we will maybe try the speakeasy, but doubt we will go back to the main restaurant, just too loud. read more

We were very excited to go because the food and drinks looked good. We got our drinks and they were delicious, a little pricey for what it's worth but that's okay. The crab dip was good, perfect for two people, definitely not three. We got our entrees and the first thing I noticed was that my burger was so small. For $20+ was wild to me. I asked for it medium rare it came medium well, it was extremely dry. They need a bigger patty, I usually eat half a burger and I'm full off of that. The fries seemed old because they were pretty hard to chew on. We were in and out less than an hour. The trout also seemed to be lacking quite a bit. The lemon and the char gave the trout all its flavor, it needs sides. We will come back for the speakeasy and see what that menu entails and try the food then. We were excited to finally try this new beautiful restaurant. It was our surprise that we were able to get in on a Friday night on short notice but we were able to get a reservation for 4. Our table was right at the front door, which wasn't ideal but we made the most of it. Our server was pleasant, but it was hard to hear him because the dining room was crowded and very loud. We went there to try their signature cocktails and they seemed to take pride on the drinks and they were okay. I actually had to change mine, it wasn't balanced well like they claimed it would be. The food was delicious, a bunch of the snack plates and the shareables. I would give it another try, however, I think I would like to see more choices and perhaps try the speakeasy. read more

I really wanted to like Greenhouse, but the experience fell short. We had a reservation for the speakeasy and showed up in the rain, only to walk up two flights of stairs and be told we had to go back downstairs to check in at the main restaurant. What made it worse was that the staff upstairs refused to simply call the hostess to let them know we had arrived. There's a point where "protocol" shouldn't override basic customer service. Turning guests away in that situation, especially in bad weather, just isn't a great look. The one bright spot: the cocktails. They were genuinely well-made and honestly the only reason this isn't a lower rating.
