I visited the Green Waffle Diner and didn't even try their waffles! But I can report that their non-waffle dishes are good. They've got all of breakfast covered (think: pancakes and egg dishes) so all y'all waffle haters have no excuse to avoid this place. I enjoyed my breakfast quesadilla though it was missing a little something- maybe some salsa could've improved it. But for Hong Kong standards it got the job done. Portions are just right, prices are fair; it's no wonder this place is packed during peak dining times so do come early on weekends.

TGIF lunch Didn't book in advance and arrived before 12:45pm, so lucky to grab the last empty table They serve set lunch. Ordered potato hash skillet and salmon linguine. Love the hash skillet that full of cheese and runny egg yolk, well stir before eat. Salmon linguine is a bit disappointing. It tastes sour that I don't like Both lunch sets go with a piece of waffle and drinks. Waffle is really their signature. It is crispy outside and soft inside, so yummy Well worth for lunch of $100 per person

Great wee place in Central. Second visit as I come here when working in HK for the gluten free waffles. They are made with buckwheat and tasty enough. I keep ordering the sane thing - waffle with apples, honeycomb and chocolate sauce but I've forgotten between visits, this is just cut up apple and not a compote which would be better. 119$ hk for waffle, ice cream and soft drink. Service was friendly and I got a table right away but as I was eating, it filled up quickly with people waiting outside. So, I'm not sure what else beyond the waffles are gluten free but these are a-ok for me.

Pretty decent waffle place. Great selection of items that aren't waffles too! I like how you can customize the type of waffle you get-pandan/whole wheat/buckwheat/regular.

This place is more local than I thought. The place is full of Hongkies which seems like a popular place for students meeting up. Feeling young! Hohoho! Initially I wanted to order a pandan waffle, but as pandan seems a bit weird to go with caramalised banana, I have chosen plain waffle instead. My hubby tried the pandan one with berries / strawberries. The waffles are crispy, but the portion is a bit too small. There is only 1 piece of waffle for each dish and the berries / strawberries is very minimal. It would be more fulfilling if the waffles come in a pairs. 1 star deducted. 1 star added back considering the quality is good.

The Carmel apple waffle and the Banana combo waffle. Both done Gluten free!!!!

I went with an Eggs Guacamole and a mango juice and I thought it was all pretty awesome overall. The food isn't overly expensive, you get fairly generous portions, and they definitely don't skimp on your free sides. The potatoes were a tad dry and I probably wouldn't go with them the next time around, but their grits aren't half bad. Hollandaise sauce is thick, yet runny, and the eggs were poached perfectly. The guacamole was offered in generous portions, and the only thing that I could possibly say they weren't generous with, in terms of portion size was my juice. That's fine though. I'll definitely be back to try a few other menu items.

Having immersed ourselves in local cuisine for over a week, we thought it would be nice to have a change and testing the consistency of their food overseas. First thing we noticed - no line ups. The locations we been to in the USA often have long waits, but not here. The interior follows the same decor and style as you would see in the USA, so no differences there. The menu is similarly expansive, with a lot of the same familiar menu items we're familiar. Small difference - entrees come with a "free" soup here, like going to a cha chaan teng. We ended up getting two things: - Mandarin Chicken Salad: Good. In the USA, it's referred to as a Chinese Chicken Salad, but it's the same thing. Maybe a bit smaller portion size in HK. - Crusted Chicken Romano: Good. Just as I would imagine it to taste in the USA. - Soup: OK. I don't quite remember what the accompanying soup was, but it was fine. Not memorable. - Complimentary Bread: Good. They use the same recipes so the bread, especially the brown loaf are always a treat to eat. Service was good. Overall, it was a good meal. Although not identical, it's very close to the original in terms of look, service and food quality, although relatively more expensive.

Absolutely terrible as I was being LIED to by a manager at the 'take out' / 'cake counter' section when it was the cheesecake Monday Delight for the month of JUNE. I went there tried to order a slice of cheesecake (they had 5 choices on promotion, 3 were sold out, and I picked the coconut cheesecake or something like that). The Manager (a male with glasses in his late 30s-mid 40s) told me that the promotion (half off) would require a purchase of 2 slices! but I only wanted one slice, and so I said 'thank you'. But later I found out from other customers (and those on Instagram posts) that it's really just 1 slice 50% off...any customer can purchase up to 2 slices. I've been to Pie day at CAKE (their stock symbol) in the US many times and NEVER EVER I required to buy 2 slices to get this 1/2 off promotion! (sometimes PIE day was 'free slice' if I ordered a meal). So this cheesecake location in HK is the worst EVER w/ a manager who LIES!

It felt out of place, especially in Hong Kong where that is generally not the expectation. It honestly felt more like something I would expect in the United States. Personally, I don't like coming to LKF to have dinner or lunch or whatever. Still, I can't fault them too much for the location, and many people have actually done the same since there are a number of good restaurants in LKF area. This place is primarily a steak place, though they have a few other things to choose from as well. I believe lunch times they offer a AYCE sort of option, where you get a main and then the salad bar is buffet. I've been to it before and it's pretty good. I've heard however since COVID they have changed it somewhat. The other night I came and got the seafood guazzetto, which is about $300 HKD, and has a bunch of different things such as fish, octopus, clams, etc. Lots of seafood essentially. Other things I tried included the sides of brussel sprouts, mushrooms, bruschetta, some of my brother's sirloin steak, some of the fish of the day (halibut?). Overall, the food is quite nice. I will say, they tend to use a bit too much butter/oil here. I know this is kind of true whenever you eat out, but here it is definitely noticeable. We shared the florentina (aka the porterhouse. A 32oz wagyu beast) and a filet. The meats came on a cutting board already cut, so the sharing was easy.
