There are no long waits to get your food. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. I made the mistake of ordering a dish that had something in it that I was allergic to. After I had already ordered and placed it on my table I asked about the item in question. They checked, immediately whisked it away and made me a new dish with a substituted ingredient. I wish there was a Le Botaniste in every city in the world and that each was staffed with the likes of the wonderful staff at Le Botaniste on 42nd street.

We wanted to chill at Bryant Park while each of us grabbed whatever we felt like eating, and La Botaniste--right across from the park--was the perfect grab-and-go option for me. The colorful Dutch ovens filled with fresh, vibrant dishes and amazing aromas made it so hard to choose. I'm still kicking myself for not taking pictures because everything looked so mouthwatering. I finally went with the Botanical Salad, and it was AMAZING. Fresh, flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I was hoping for. Everything on the menu looked comforting and delicious while still being plant-based and health-conscious. Even though the line was busy, the staff was genuinely friendly. They took the time to answer questions, explain the dishes, and make recommendations without making us feel rushed.

Though not huge, their menu is plant based with an assortment of brunch/lunch items like bowls, salads and interesting sushi, as well as smoothies and other drinks. If you're open to vegan food and uncommon items in a western diet, you'll enjoy it. The pad thai slaw and sushirito were delicious and well made and everything on the menu was inviting. The teas were lovely and I really enjoyed being able to select a blend of herbs for my tea mug. There was some herbal water available, and a selection of desserts on the counter and in the fridge - chocolatey delights like "snickers" bars. We found a corner next to the stage with two armchairs and a coffee table which was the coziest corner to sit and chat. Though it was Friday afternoon at lunch time and there were several other small groups, it never felt crowded and we were able to stay for a few hours enjoying our tea and meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and non-intrusive. You order at the counter and then sit down, and we were not disturbed at all besides our meal being brought to us when it was ready. Parking is limited but at least they have a lot. It's a short walk into the main part of the town. They also occasionally host events. Looking forward to returning!

Soon as my partner and I walked in we were greeted by the bartender and server ! I love great hospitality . We chose to sit at the table and we ordered the happy hour $1 oysters ( cant find this anywhere else in BK, So bonus points in my book!! ) And we also ordered a cheese plate which came with a variety of cheeses and fresh bread . I ordered a white negroni which was very good and my partner got a ginger beer . Everything was great , I have zero complaints, will definitely be coming here again !! Awesome job !!! And shout out to our server ! I don't remember her name but she was so sweet and answered all our questions!!

We ordered two lemonades and 24 dollar oysters. The lemonade was pretty sour, I didn't finish it. The oysters were very well priced, and I liked the sauces that came with them, but not the best oysters I've ever had (not a lot of meat and I kept getting loose shell in my mouth). I wish the food menu was a little more extensive, would have loved some fries or something. I'd come back to try the cocktails, that menu looked good.

The server highly recommended we order another appetizer, since they suggest 1 app and 1 entree per person given their smaller portion sizes, but we had just come from afternoon tea so we didn't need the full size meal. The two crab dishes we ordered, sadly, did not taste much like crab. The texture was fresh and all good there, but I could only taste the curry and the noodle sauce in both dishes. Granted, the flavors were good, just not crabby. The grilled pork cheek was delectable and possibly my favorite dish there, in competition with the raw shrimp which had a sauce so good I was scooping it off the plate with my spoon. The steamed fish was deboned(!) and perfectly tender, bathed in a super savory herby sauce. Surprisingly, despite being a huge crab fan, the two crab dishes were my least favorite. The restaurant itself was adorable! Bright colors everywhere, with accompanying brightly colored dishes. It was huge inside so you could easily bring a larger party, but beware the wait time because this place is popular. Definitely make a reservation if possible. Here you can find unique menu items that specialize in seafood, so if you're looking for thai food beyond your usual pad thai order, come try Fish Cheeks.

The place is quite spacious upon walking in - a bar area when you walk in, a larger dining area as you walk further in past the stairs, another bar and dining area upstairs, a private room upstairs, and an outdoor patio. For appetizer, I tried the crispy sushi and it was delicious! There are 4 pieces of different fish served on top of a crispy rice. My colleague got the burrata and it smelled/looked amazing as well! For entree, I got the burger which was perfectly cooked but did not have any seasoning so be sure to add some sauce of your liking. It did come with fries that were beautifully fried and seasoned. For dessert, I got the cookie sampler which came with 2 of 5 different cookies - chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, sugar, sesame, and chocolate. The cookies were fresh and they came out warm and soft. My favorites in this order are oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and chocolate. Everyone else got the cheesecake with whip cream or chocolate cake with Ice-Cream. The cake slices were pretty big and heavy. Very nice ambiance and our server was attentive/helpful! Will definitely be back to the more things on the menu.

Everything on the menu is vegan, but my family truly could not taste any difference when we visited. We ordered the Oreo protein pancakes, blueberry pancakes, penne with vodka sauce, and a breakfast burrito. Since I turned vegan, I've been craving pancakes so the food really hit the spot. The pancakes were so fluffy and tasted incredible. The penne was also so flavorful and was maybe our favorite dish. The breakfast burrito was also filling and tasted great. Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality of food and would come here regularly if I lived in the area. Additionally, the prices were super reasonable and are definitely more affordable than the average restaurant in the area. Chelsea was our waitress and I want to give her a special shoutout because she was particularly helpful and friendly to us. She did an excellent job answering our questions and even was willing to share general tips on vegan cooking. She really went out of her way to help me out after I mentioned that I recently turned vegan.
