It's a cute little restaurant with a beautiful small patio where you can bring your fur baby. Fur baby's are outside patio only, not inside. I placed my order with the lady up front. I ordered bbq pork fried rice, which was spot on delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai which was perfect. And I ordered the hot and sour soup. Didn't care too much for it. But it wasn't awful. I still ate it. But for me personally, it isn't something I'll order again. The other 2 dishes were great. I did order to go. She said it would be about 20 min. It was actually quicker. They still require masks, but I saw a couple walk in without a mask on. So they are not strict like some places. It's a very clean restaurant and it's very nice inside. Has the quality of this place gone really down ? Have dined in a lot of times before and also ordered take out . Our recent experience was really not that good . Weekday night dinner and we were asked to first switch tables, which is okay . Then we order all the food together and they did a good job of bringing one by one . The wine glass for $10 is totally not worth it, it was not even quarter glass and it was not even that expensive wine and I felt this is the smallest glass of wine we have ever ordered . Next comes the chicken satay which is okay and nothing great but usually they add cucumbers to the sweet sauce and this time there was only onions..bummer. The worst was the basil fried rice. Totally lacking flavor and was Panda Express kind of fast food quality and cannot even compare to the fried rice at other Thai places nearby . And $16 for that fried rice is totally not justifiable . Finally.. the mango sticky rice . With the mango season in full bloom I was expecting a mango on the sweeter side and this one was sour and they just left some rice on the side which is not the quantity we get in other restaurants for the price point . The waitresses kept putting the food on the other end of the table and we had to get it to our side every time and it was not really a great experience . Might end up ordering the curries for takeout but probably never dining in again . Better off going to Thai restaurants which give quality food for the same price and a better experience . Wow. Was blown away. Lol I heard this place was good but did not imagine how tasty it was. Tasty. Simply tasty. Loved it so much! Every dish we got was perfect. The servers were agentive, kind and friendly. They were prompt and efficient. Filled out waters, got the food out piping hot. Just perfect. Can not say enough good things. Since post covid many restaurants have gone down hill. Including some of our faves so I was tentative coming here but we ordered our usual favorites and every thing was delicious. The spring rolls were perfection. The tofu was ok but still tasty. The noodle dishes were good. Loved my pad SE ew. We shared everything so we can get a taste of everything. The Tom yum was tangy and had huge chunks of seafood. The curry was a hit. Ahh I can not wait to go back. Need to go back lol so good. So glad we got to try this place out so now we know another yummy Thai place in town. It's a bit far for us but would not mind driving the distance for good solid food. And I think for all that food which filled us 4 with leftovers with the bill of 125 wasn't bad at all. We got a lot of food too. Anyways if you feel like Thai I'd suggest going here. I do love me some good thai food and Green Mango checks the boxes. They do the classics right and in the ever rising inflation game, entrees are still priced right. Food is great quality and definitely will have you leaving full. We tried a pad thai and pad see ew beef and both were good. The pad thai especially had that tamarind sourness that interplays the salty, umami, sweet, sour profiles many love about thai food. Pad see ew is sweeter and I wish the sauce was a tad bit thicker but good nonetheless. They give a lot of tender slices of beef, which is really nice since generally places will skimp on that to give you more noodles, but the balance here is excellent. Will definitely come back to try some curries and maybe the pad kee mao if the spice level is right. That and the lunch specials are worth it! read more

We ordered through Doordash. I'd say this was a good experience. All the food was packaged orderly and tight where nothing was overspilling so kudos to that. I even ordered a thai coffee that came wrapped shut tight with plastic wrap so it wouldn't spill. I ordered Pad Kee Mao and Soft Spring Rolls and both was absolutely delicious. No cons about it. One of the better Thai places in the Austin area, and that's coming from someone who eats and has tried a lot of different Thai restaurants. I got the pad Thai, basil fried rice and papaya salad. All were good. I like the thinner noodles in the pad Thai, and it wasn't overly sweet. It wasn't too saucy or too dry, just perfect. Basil fried rice has a great Thai Basil flavor, which I love...overall cooked well. I do think it is a bit overpriced compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. One more bonus is that they pack their to go orders very well. I had to drive almost 40 minutes to get home and my food was still warm even though it's 40 degrees outside! read more

This review goes out to one of the best Pad See Ew's I've ever had. As a huge Thai lover, I've tried some of the best spots in Austin and this is definitely up there. I got beef as the protein in my dish and the quality of the meat itself was next level. I have been to Green Mango a few times in the past for Thai dishes but I don't think I will return again. I am now on my second day of suffering from food poisoning. Thursday night I ordered three sushi rolls and miso soup from Green Mango via Uber Eats. Big mistake. I first noticed the rolls were not well formed and fell apart easily, but didn't mind that as long as the taste was ok. But after eating about half of a roll, I noticed the texture and taste were off. When I looked closely I saw obviously rotten avocados in all the rolls that contained avocado. The fish and rest of the ingredients didn't look or taste fresh either. Even though I stopped eating when I found out, it was too late. I am very concerned with the lack of care to food safety. It is hard to give a benefit of the doubt when you can see the avocados used were clearly off-color and have slimy texture. It is worth noting that Uber Eats was not at fault with this transaction and it was delivered in a timely manner. I hope the management will correct this and take food safety seriously. As of now, I do not recommend eating sushi here. read more

The same week I went to Green Mango, I had just been to a Thai Food Truck in Round Rock and because the food truck was sooooo good, Green Mango was a huge disappointment. The Pad Thai was bland, the egg rolls boring, the only thing that had any kick to it was the spicy soup of the day; which was decent enough for me to upgrade the rating to a 3 from a 2. Today I came in for a to-go lunch order for Yellow Chicken Curry (nam prik gaeng karee). This curry has a mild, somewhat sweet taste with a little bit of spice. However, the curry seemed to be on the runny side as opposed to a creamier base that can be found in many dishes such as this. While this dish was tasty, it was a bit too runny for my liking. Although I was taking the lunch to-go, I was offered a small box to take food from the appetizer bar as the appetizer bar came with the lunch order. I elected to take 3 pieces of sushi and some spring rolls. I wish there were to-go containers for the soup as I am a soup junkie (not to be confused with the Soup Nazi). Overall, the curry was okay but the better deal for the price-point is to eat at the establishment as consumers have unlimited access to the appetizer bar. Arrived for an early lunch at around 1130-11:45, seating was not a problem, it was actually fairly quiet with customers at 4-5 tables. A very spacious setting and a glass garage door that can roll open onto the outdoor patio. Anything on the lunch menu comes with soup of the day, 2 veggie egg rolls and a mini salad (not pictured, was too hungry) at the lunch menu price ranging from $14-17 dependent on what you order and adding extras in your entree. Since all that came with your meal, we decided not ordering starters. We shared the pad kee mao and the spicy pork seafood noodle soup (not on webpage), I couldn't remember the exact name. The soup was very tasty with a good amount of heat if you like spicy. Not a fan of the Asian chewy balls, however everything else in the soup was cooked perfectly. The pad Kee mao was dryer and less flavorful than the traditional dish that I am familiar with but nevertheless, it was still tasty. I added beef and soft tofu which was very generously given in the dish and the beef was out of this world tender. I usually hesitate on ordering a dish with beef since majority of the time it's too chewy and tough, this was A+ for texture and perfectly cooked, I only wished I had more flat rice noodles. I felt I was skimped on noodles! Overall, I'd definitely return and try some of my other dishes such as pad Thai and daily curries. read more

This is probably the best Thai restaurant in Austin area, a little far from the city but this place has dislodged titaya's from my list of my go to thai places, here is my review: Drinks: I ordered a tap on beer and my friend got their special Thai tea, Thai tea was soo good that I ordered that and never touched my stupid beer. Best Thai tea I had in Austin! Food: We ordered Panang curry with tofu, Thai curry with vegetables, pineapple fried rice with no egg, fried rice and papaya salad. This place is pricey, however dinner portions can be shared between 2 people. Wish chicken was automatically included, but it is only a $2 addition. In regards to flavor, wow. That green curry, served on Fridays is incredible. Fresh vegetables, great heat. Really enjoyed every bite. Overall the food is well prepared, delicious and hits all the right notes with spices. The Basil eggplant dish was the hit at our table. Perfectly cooked eggplant and a mixture of spices and veggies that will delight your senses. We added crispy tofu which only enhanced the dish. Highly recommended. Garlic chicken dish was very tasty. Loved this place! I was actually only craving the mango sticky rice dessert, but was so surprised with how yummy everything else was. The sampler appetizer is amazing and gives a great sample of many different choices. Their soup with coconut milk in it was also a home run, really couldn't go wrong with anything. While waiting met a very nice woman ( maybe owner) that gave me a complimentary Thai Green tea. It was awesome! I had the fried Tofu Pad Thai. It was ok but had no peanuts, sprouts, or veggies. Sauce was ok. Just noodles and tofu in aluminum foil with a lime. The hostess did not ask a lot of questions- so I am guessing I should have looked at the menu and provided more direction. I dropped off the other two orders of Pad Thai to my kids. Haven't heard anything. They are the connoisseurs of food - as I have not been out much in last few years. I've tried most of the curries here and they are all delicious. The Thai tea is both beautifully presented and yummy as well. The crab fried rice is always our go to. Mango sticky rice here is really good but it's been sold out every other time we've come.
