So I am always on the hunt for a good bakery with good bread. Based on the pictures and some…read morereviews, I headed here early on Sunday morning. I think they have made some marked changes from the early days. The display case of baked items is small and gets replenished. I only saw one loaf of features bread which appeared to be selling by the slice. There were two people behind the counter with one barista and one person taking orders and replenishing the baked goods. There was one person ahead of me who ordered several things but they did not start making the coffee until the items were all paid for and a paper ticket produced. Needless to say, it took 10 minutes to get a coffee made and leave and that's with it not being busy. The cakes looked ok, but not as appealing as some of the picture. Parking is a hassle. All street parking in downtown Phoenixville. Not worth the hassle. Ok for coffee if I'm walking the town anyway and not in a hurry

I have been to this strip mall dozens of time and never noticed Dante's. The owner is an old school NY Italian who moved to Philadelphia. He kept me engaged in a great conversation about NY while taking my order. There are a few tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant and more tables inside. It was a beautiful day when I dined here and I sat outside to enjoy it. I ordered the Italian Sausage Sandwich. Their sausage is made of slices of sausage with green peppers and minced garlic. I chose not to have any onions on it. The six inch sandwich came in a very fresh and soft Italian roll. It was absolutely delicious. I also had one of the cookies and a lemon crisp cake that was freshly baked. Both were good. I enjoyed Dante's and will be back soon.

And once we found the location, was even more of a rabbits warren experience to find the actual coffee shop. So you might have to work a little harder to pinpoint the location. Peter has great barista skills. I hope seating gets better and more comfortable. And a big selection of yummies. Never a greeting or a thank you. They just start ringing up products then grumble the total at you as if I was dealing with a cashier at Dollar General. It is tough to hire help anymore. I get it. Maybe it is time for the owners to install a self-check out kiosk or have a self-service cash box as some other farm stores do. The owners should be embarrassed of the current state of the retail side of their operation. I am embarrassed for them. The seafood salads are still pretty good. The dairy products struggle to be average. Flavored milks and sugar drinks they sell are a real snore.

Wildflower and oats is not necessarily unique, their products are especially exceptional. We got both the oatmeal date and the dark chocolate chip with salt cookies. Holy cow. Don't get me wrong you're going to pay for the privilege. But my oh my , these cookies are unlike anything I've had before. They have some other interesting products as well, including some local honey and shrub products. If you're looking to treat yourself, make a beeline here. I guess I'm kind of glad that they're not inexpensive because I could eat a ton of these things. Go figure!
