There was a long line for ice cream, but it moved quickly, so the wait wasn't bad at all. You can't see the ice cream behind the counter, so you have to go by the menu board (and samples). I tried the cookies and cream, chocolate, and chocolate with peanut butter cups -- all were incredibly creamy and full of flavor. It's 10x better than anything store-bought! There's also plenty of seating both inside and out on the porch, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the treat. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors!

Still, at this point, the health of these plants are probably fully in my hands. What I like about Dekalb? Solid selection at low prices when it comes to produce and gardening supplies. I like their $1/$2 fruit/veggie bucket deals, especially for veggies I might be using that day. Beyond those "specials", they offer fresh produce cheaper than any local supermarket. They also have plants, soil, and other odds and ends for your garden as well. They aren't Lowes/Home Depot in the selection department, but again they beat their low prices. I'm sure the staff is willing to share advice. Honestly, I've only asked a handful of questions, but have always gotten answers. They are friendly and even in these COVID times they always seem to be smiling. Overall, worth a visit.

Merrymead Farm was a great place to spend some time with the family. After getting the ice cream, we walked around the farm and spent some time looking at the animals. There were cows, goats, sheep, and other farm animals, which made it a fun experience, especially for a family visit. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Good ice cream, friendly atmosphere, and a nice chance to get outside and see the animals. I'd definitely visit again.

The place also has a bunch of milk to buy fresh as well as other interesting snacks for purchase. After the ice cream, we walked outside to the greenhouse. The greenhouse had somewhere to buy stuffed animals and apple cider/ pies for sale. I wasn't impressed with the hot apple cider- it tasted like something I could get in the grocery store. Outside the greenhouse there were pumpkins for sale. For fall, they also have a corn maze and other activities for the kids.

I was on the hunt for something called cheese for a gift. I was able to put in an order and come back the next day and pick it up. I wonderful to have such great service and such wonderful, delicious food items. I also picked up a chunk of goat cheese with cranberries and cinnamon... Because we're expecting a snowstorm and I wanted to have a nice cheese plate. Let me tell you that cheese was absolutely delicious so flavorful and wonderful wonderful . There was a Tea booth, and I picked up some Bengal tea which is my favorite . Wonderful service. Another delightful surprise was a Greek stand that had delicious sandwiches made with falafel and baba ghanoush . I got a baba ghanoush sandwich. I also bought some. Za'atar Man'oushe bread. What a thrill how flavorful and so exceedingly delicious. I am so happy with that purchase and I wish I lived just a little bit closer to the store so I can pick up this bread at least once a week !! Soumaya and sons bakery . I am a fan. I can't wait to come back.

Such a great place to shop!…read more When you think farmer's market...normally you think outdoors...but this was inside. Apparently, this is a common type of shopping venue here...and it's fantastic! There were many rows of vendors here, and all were pleasant! The first thing that really hit me (walking down every aisle), was the variety of vendors. Yes, there was some overlap, but overall, it was a very wide selection of food and merchandise....my wife even bought a purse here! The second thing I noticed was the high quality meat and produce. If I lived close by, this is where I would shop. You could tell the people that worked here took pride in their food, and there was a visible difference in how their customers reacted, trusted, and relied on the vendors for recommendations. We were able to sample a bunch of items, thankfully....and everything was good...but of all the items we tried here, the pretzel dog and draft Appalachian root beer was the best! So fun to visit...will be back for sure!
