This is a local market that also screams high-quality. Think Dean and Deluca meets your neighborhood farmers market. I got the Italian sandwich heated up, which was delicious, and the next day I had the pasta e fagioli soup which warmed my heart. I tried their weekend brownie cronut which had a good amount of chocolate pudding in the center. Their sourdough bread is soft and divine. The staff were so helpful when describing how to get to the Orchard and the experience once there. I had a sample of the apple pie and had to go home with one. You can't go wrong the cider either! I never waited for a seat either. I think this farm is the backbone of Boyertown! read more

Best Breakfast Sandwich & Perfectly Sweet Pastries! My partner and I visited Frecon Farm Market in Boyertown, PA, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We both had the mushroom, spinach, and Swiss breakfast sandwich, and it was hands down the best breakfast sandwich we've ever had. The bun was perfect--soft yet sturdy--and the combination of fresh, locally sourced ingredients was flawless. Absolutely loved my time at Frecon farms. Went with a group so everything was already taken care of. Wonderful variety of ciders to taste- cherry was my favorite by far. Apples were ready, beautiful, and ripe for picking in late October. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had vegan pizza as an option among other snacks. A little far from Philadelphia? Yes. But worth the drive DOUBLE YES!! I had mentioned to a coworker that my friend and I wanted to go apple picking, but wanted to go somewhere different this year and he suggested Frecon; I looked them up online (both their website and through Instagram geotag search) and was sold! I'll admit Frecon's website is a little lackluster, and if it wasn't for customer photos on Instagram I may have been a little hesitant to make the drive, but thank goodness for Instagram and Yelp! The actual farm store location and the orchards are at two different addresses which is a little bit confusing, but everyone within the store is more than willing to give you directions (only about 5 minutes down the road) and the trip between the two is quick and painless. Once you arrive at the orchard they have cashier lanes with staff to explain your options for picking or visiting, but I found most interesting that even if you were interesting in picking some form of fruit (be that apples or pears) you were allowed an "orchard pass" for $5.00 which included one drink at the concessions stand! I thought that was a super fair way to make sure that every visitor bought something without it seeming unfair. Is $5.00 extremely reasonable to come to a place just to take a couple fall photos? Absolutely. Is it even nicer of them to include a drink, EVEN MORE YES. Fecon had several of their own hard cider varieties both on top in the orchard as well as in cans in the farmer stand. Overall this Frecon was a super cool place for family as well as adult fun. I always like finding places that cater to families, but also cater to those that don't have children (are we the majority these days, hahah). We like fall fun too!! read more

I do not live in Pennsylvania, but have family connections and whenvever I am in the neck of the woods, I make multiple trips to Frecon Farms. Genuine, authentic and simple food but totally made there on the premisis. The crowning glory is the baked goods. Great selection of breads, buns, cookies...oh lordy...the cookies. So good. Fresh, and totaly wholesome. I love the choccolate ones, the chocolate peanutbutter. Not a fan of the oatmeal or the smores. (Yes. I tried them all). They have a barista who can knock together a decent iced latte. Just remember if you are hipster....they like their coffee dark roast around here. Live with it. It is still pretty good to chase down those cookies. Oh did I leave out the pies? I did so on purpose. More for me. The apple pie. I dare you to find one better. So good you can take one to a party and say your momma made it and noone would be the wiser. I neglected the vegetables. Fresh, right there. Seasonal delights from tomatos to Cauliflowers. I have never once been disappointed here. the food is incredible! It's hard to find a really good latte and cappuccino in the area and this place nails it. The espresso is fresh and I love my latte with oat milk The staff are very friendly and the frecon name stands by the quality of their products. When I first moved to Pennsylvania from California this farm store won my heart and my taste buds over. It's been a gift to watch this local family owned business grow. When you support local you support families. Don't let a couple reviews deter you from experience this place. They have so much to offer. Where else can you find locally sourced fruits, kombucha, chocolates, wines, cheeses, speciality items as well as made in house baked goods and breads ? Not good when they are premade with mayonnaise. Also they used to have the best scones, now they look like a muffin top, not too good either. Frecon Farms is one of my favorite things about living in Pottstown. Just a short hop down the road, Frecon's is my go-to spot for the absolute best produce around (the strawberries they grew and sold this summer were literally the best I had ever eaten or even seen!) They have gobs of unusual berries, heirloom tomatoes to die for, and the best rhubarb in the history of man (I made some bonkers pies in the spring, lemme tell ya). If you make it out of the produce area and can still carry everything, be sure to stop (A) at the salads/deli area and get a quart of chicken salad. It's the stuff dreams are made of and (B) the bakery, so you can get a loaf of their sourdough, because WHOA. Beyond the quality of their produce (and pretty much everything else under their roof), it is the PEOPLE who are there who really are the secret sauce. Frecon Farms is my happy place! From adorable succulents, to fresh fruits and veggies, to freshly made sides, salads and sandwiches...and I haven't even gotten started on the bakery section! Best cinnamon rolls anywhere, and their cookies and pies are amazing too. To top it off, they just started doing a Smoothie and an Espresso bar as well! It seems like they make changes and additions almost monthly and I love it all. I see people complaining about the prices but honestly, for the quality of the food it's totally worth it! This was our first time to the Frecon Farm and Store. What a great place! They make their own cider and hard cider that is delicious. We also picked up some corn chowder mix from the store, which sells fresh produce, baked goods, and has a place to sit down and have foods. Then, we drove up to the pick-your-own area (separate from the store - a few miles away) and bought a large bag to pick apples. We walked and that was our big mistake. We did not get a wagon. Carrying a large bag is rough uphill after you fill it! That was the only drawback. Wish there was a way out to not have to walk uphill then back downhill to our car. But they had music playing in the concession area with tables to relax. We will be going back. read more

Food is made to order and it's a creative menu that changes seasonally. I would describe it as mostly scratch made and elevated. It does not translate well to take out. Much better as a dine in establishment. Staff is always nice. We eat here often. Ambience is rustic but comfy. The truffle fries can be soggy. Stopped in on the way to Allentown and had the best breakfast sandwich with delicious sausage and amazing bread. Decided to stock up with some of their prepared foods so our kids could have a snack later in the day. I was shocked that both kids finished their food and were begging the wife and I to stop back by on the way home! Such a cool place and can't wait to go back soon!! When I found out that Frecon Farms is only ~10 mins from my husband's childhood home, I was excited. I love apple picking, but Linvilla can get overwhelming, so the orchards at Frecon are perfect - more lowkey, less busy, but still lovely. Frecon offers a variety of services, including a number of fruit pickings, a farmer's market, homemade cider and baked goods, and live entertainment. While they do a number of things, it doesn't feel very commercial - I still get family-owned vibes here. This past fall, we visited in early October but arrived pretty late in the day, so there weren't as many visitors. They have a good number of trees available for picking, and they always have a number of apple varieties to select from (although sometimes the signage can be confusing - we definitely picked off varietal apples in particular spots). You do have to purchase a bag or box to enter the picking area, and the prices are relatively fair (apple picking is always surprisingly a lot, but their prices compare to other orchards I've been to and are cheaper than Linvilla). Even with slimmer pickings late in the day, we easily filled our bag with plenty of solid apples! After collecting our apples, we enjoyed some homemade hard apple cider and homemade apple cider donuts. I am astonished at the number of options they have for hard cider - I expected 2-3 types, but they had at least 10, and they all sounded delicious! My husband and I both enjoyed our flavors, and the pairing with a warmed apple cider donut was perfect. Frecon Farms is a perfect getaway from some local produce and a fun afternoon picking fruit and trying homemade, fresh treats. We will certainly be back! read more

Very elegant, upscale farm store with great produce. My fav this Summer has been the white peaches, corn and fabulous tomatoes. They also have one of the best fresh bakeries in the area and their sourdough is not to be beat. They have prepared foods like quiches and great ice cream pasta and select meats. And the cookies and pies are baked on premises, too. This is one of my weekly favorites and I look forward to going there always. They just started fresh breakfast sandwiches, as well. read more

Honestly, who doesn't love Frecon Farms? Their assortment of fresh baked pies and breads are to die for. Recently I do feel like there have been less baked goods (e.g., haven't seen any cookies?) but they have a deli section of cold premade dinners and sides which is nice (for example pasta salad, chicken Parmesan). They always have some soaps and lotions, small canned items, cheeses, meats, homemade soups, and teas in addition to fresh fruits and vegetables. The only thing I do wish was that they were slightly more inclusive with their baked goods and meals (vegetarian, gluten free options). read more

This is a pretty cool store that has a pretty good selection of baked goods, meats and fruit and is also a cidery (which was the purpose of the visit). The cup of hard cider is just $3.50 and you can get samples. There is also an extensive coffee bar for those who are not fans of hard cider. We have been visiting this farm for years. Loved it for non commercial apple picking with the kids.It's still a great place to pick apples but they charge you 7$ to enter if your group of four is planning to use one large 45$ apple picking bag. My group of four (two kids) was going to pay 45$ but Frecon said we would still have to buy one orchard pass because only 3 people are covered by a large apple bag. I'm sure they have a good reason and I am still not seeing the value in this up charge. We are not tractor hay ride people but if you are, that's included! The line was long to enter because they are explaining this to each group. If this sounds fun to you, definitely visit. The store and bakery remain awesome. The apples are pretty amazing too. Tons of people visit here. It's very very busy. Maybe try a weekday. read more
