I heard getting tomato pie here is a must, so on our last work trip to the area, my husband and I had to try it. We shared: - Classic Red Tomato Pie - Sweet Pepper Pie - Pepperoni Pie The classic tomato pie was fantastic. I'm no expert, but of the ones I've had in Philly, it's hands down the best. I didn't realize the Sweet Pepper pie was just peppers and bread, so I probably wouldn't get that again. I did enjoy the Pepperoni, but the classic was so good, I would probably just get more of it next time. The craziest part of this experience was how cheap it is. Each of the pies is between $5 and $6 and they're big. The three my husband and I got were too much food for the entire day. There's no seating, so you have to take your food to go. They're so unfriendly no personality no smile no welcome greeting no thank you they're the most unfriendly people I've ever encountered in both locations. Order the tomato pie and you will not be disappointed. Called earlier in the week to order a full sheet tomato pie for the Super Bowl. For special events/holidays, they will accept orders up until a certain day. On their social media, they posted the last day to order for the Super Bowl was 2 days prior, and day of they turned off all phones. So be prepared if you plan on ordering for a big holiday! I had a friend who needed some tomato pies. I placed the order over the phone for pick up in a few days. They took my payment over the phone. It was so easy, simple honestly. The male I spoke with was extremely helpful and polite. Picking up the pies was easy and dangerous all at the same time. You walk in one door, pick up your food and walk out another door. That door you walk out of is an automatic door! Perfect when you are carrying out those large tomato pies. Now that dangerous part I was talking about... all the delicious food all over inside. They even had Kaiser rolls!!! I have not had a good one since my childhood. There were so many good dessert options as well as breads and deli salads and meats. I'm always on the lookout for a good Italian Bakery, and I'm glad to have found one so close to home. I found Corropolese a few months ago and I've been back several times since. I know a lot of people know this place (and their other locations) for their tomato pies, but don't forget about the pastries and other desserts. There's a whole display counter of just cookies. Then there's multiple displays of donuts, buns, fritters, cannoli, eclairs, creme puffs, sfogliatelles, pies, cakes, etc., and that's only one side of the bakery. There's also other specialties like baklava and cannoli chip dip too. They sell rainbow cookies, pizzelle, and boxed panettone as well. They make a maple bacon donut that is an absolute necessity to purchase every time I'm there. Last time I was there, there was a caramel apple walnut pie that was just calling my name, so I'm excited to go back next week and pick one up for Thanksgiving. I have always gone to corropolese for baked goods. I am having company today and went this morning at about 9:15. I bought a pound and a half of cookies (almost $18.00). I just tried one, as did my husband, and they seem stale. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed!!!! Debating whether to go back to return them or not! Not what I expected based on previous reviews. The one on Egypt road has cold tomato pie and some refrigerated pasta. Outside of those, they only have bread and desserts. Heavily disappointed in offerings, wish other reviews where clearer about which location they were reviewing. We ended up getting a bunch of cookies and a carrot cake. We have picked up their pizza many times at Shop Rite after our friend bragging about how good it was. We finally made a stop at one of their locations. This one is in an old WaWa. The interior is really nice - spacious and clean. There is one side filled with bread, one side filled with pastries and desserts and the back holds the pizzas. There are a lot of bread options and a lot of dessert options and the prices weren't that bad. They have a great tomato pie- really wet and a little sweet. I've been craving one of these forever, so when I saw I could get it shipped to me overnight I had to try it out. This place is AMAZING!!!! The pie shells, sauce, and cheeses were packed so carefully, I was truly impressed. Everything arrived still pretty cold. Great to have Corropolese right up the street from work! Sad that it isn't a Deli, only a bakery...So no sandwiches. Bread, rolls, sweets, and tomato pies rule the day at the Audubon location. I've picked up a dozen rolls in 2 trips, you can't go wrong! Fantastic bread and rolls! They have a bunch of cookies which don't look to appealing to me, that goes for most of the baked goods sadly. Mostly of the "looks good on a tray", but disappoints in the mouth variety, IMHO, but YMMV. I grabbed some sticky buns today and will give them a shot tonight. It is good to have them close by, but it does pain me that there is no deli here. I hope one of the other business in the strip closes and they can expand! read more

Best. Tomato Pie. Ever!!! I wanted to get a tomato pie for a party and researched the best in the Philadelphia suburb area. Corropolese came up on my search along with a few others, but I choose this bakery because it was nearby some other errands I had to run. I am SO glad I went here. The pie was only $15 and we had the slices cut into smaller pieces. We seriously had enough to feed an army. It was so great to snack on all afternoon and everyone raved about the sweet tomato sauce. It does not remind me of a Wawa, thought it used to be one. Inside, the design is u-shaped: cookies, pastries and cake on the right, fresh breads on the left. In the middle, there's a large shelf of packaged good like sticky buns. They serve Tomato Pie and were voted Best in Philly for that. We got the Bruschetta. The crust is the absolute lightest and freshest tasting one that I've ever had. The staff was friendly. We went just before close on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. I paused stuffing my face with the bruschetta pie to get this review up and haven't had a chance to overindulge on the sweets, hence my four stars. First visit Preordered a tomato pie for super bowl party. Was perfect. While it was extremely busy that day they were well staffed and well organized the day of pickup. Defined area for pickup and payment. Since I prepaid was so easy to just get my order and go. There were people directing traffic on Eqypt Rd too! Second visit was to pick up some sweets. I came here for the first time on a Friday afternoon, so the stock may have been depleted, but this isn't the Italian bakery experience that I'm used to from The NY area. Pastries were mediocre and in short supply. I wanted a dozen eclairs, they only had 11 left, but they still charged for 12. The bagels looked appealing (even though they only had sesame and poppy seed varieties left) but they were rock hard by early Saturday morning. The prepackaged cakes and strudel were supermarket quality, but the fresh baked goods may be a little better. I'll have to continue my search for a decent local bakery. read more

Poor customer service I visited the bakery on the afternoon of December 22nd. They ran out of apple crumb pie and wouldn't do an order for pick up the next day, but they told me to call next morning. I called at least ten times but every time it went into voicemail box after 5 or 6 rings. If you are going to ask your customer to call, you better make sure that the phone works and that someone will pick up. I ended up not bother driving over. Why reward someone who can't get basics right? Although their customer service is good in person, in this day and age, remote service is ever more important. I've been a huge fan of Corropolese ever since I was little. My parents both grew up in the Conshohocken/Norristown area, and parties were never complete without a Corropolese tomato pie. In fact, it's the ONLY tomato pie I enjoy. To this day, we've special ordered cakes and tomato pies for almost every occasion from them. It honestly pains me to write this review. Early afternoon on last Monday, 5/7/18, I put in a special order for a birthday cake to be picked up on Saturday, 5/12/18. I went over all of the details down to the color of the balloons. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and helpful. I let her know that I would be picking the cake up at Amicis in Lansdale (much closer to where I live and they regularly drop off their baked goods here to be sold, almost like a "middle-man"). Fast forward to today, I arrived at Amicis and gave them my name and order. Multiple employees made their way to the back searching for my cake, and all came out confused, asking when I had ordered/who I had spoken to/etc. I let them know, and they proceeded to call this location of Corropolese. I waited for 15-20 minutes as the employees of Amicis frantically tried to get to the bottom of this, as they weren't sure if Corropolese had just mistakenly dropped off the wrong cake. Luckily, I had just enough time to come back in a little while if that were the case and if Corropolese was able to drop it off immediately and rectify the mistake. After about an hour from the start of the ordeal, I received a call from Amicis (I had left my name and number with them) saying that Corropolese had NO record of my order! Not only do I have the phone record of my call to them last Monday, but my fiance was sitting with me when I made the order. I just barely had enough time to whip down to the grocery store and get a plain, generic cake with no writing or balloons or anything. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I had already planned on ordering a Father's Day and another birthday cake from them in the near future. Now, I'll have to research nearby bakeries as I no longer trust Corropolese to follow through. read more
