Maltazan shrimp tacos Fresh but utterly without taste :(

Taco Tuesday! Very fresh tacos with excellent service. They offer several options for 3.00 taco Tuesday. My only complaint is I wish there was a lot more spice oh and Coke not Pepsi please !!!

I enjoyed the experience. Birria Tacos were seasoned well and very tasty. House green ghost margarita was very refreshing . Food came quickly and servers were friendly

The service was exceptional, and the food was nothing short of delightful. I was impressed by the restaurant's selection of vegan options I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

This place was super awesome! I wanted to give big props to having chilaquiles on the menu. Brunch is served all day, so I had to get it. Service was fast and the people were nice. Great authentic food and seasoned well. The chips seemed homemade, but I wish they were a bit warm. The salsa was incredible and I would get it again. PLUS we were there on a Friday night and they had karaoke! I had no idea so this elevated the experience. I def went up and sang a tune! Go here if in Jackson and looking for some authentic Mexican food

First time visiting the newer location. You have to start off good and that begins with the chips and salsa. We are big fans of Green Ghost's salsa. Fresh and acidic, it tastes better than the average Hispanic restaurant's. Their tortas are AMAZING. The bread is super soft. The potatoes are fried and crispy with a drizzle of salt and sprinkle of lime. The carnitas are always tender and fatty. You cannot go wrong with any of the Tortas. The new location offers a more open seating area and was nice.

One of the more authentic taco places in Jackson. Tuesday is $2 taco night (excludes fish and shrimp which are $2 on Friday) so I stopped by. It's a seat yourself situation which is fine because I got to pick my table. It's in walking distance of a major hospital/medical school so it can get crowded sometimes. I usually stick to the fish and shrimp tacos regardless of the day. I decided to take advantage of the $2 deal and ordered one beef, one chorizo and one veggie taco dressed traditional style (onions and cilantro) on a corn tortilla. Of the three, my favorite was the chorizo. It had a kick to it, with the cilantro and onions setting it off nicely. The beef was good too but I probably would have preferred it coming in the Americano style. I was disappointed with the veggie taco, as it lacked flavor to me. The salsa is good but the chips are the thick kind and not the thin ones you usually find at a traditional Mexican restaurant. Green Ghost is worth the trip though.

I've been wanting to try Green Ghost for their fresh fruit margaritas. I ordered the blueberry margarita and it was delicious. The fresh fruit purée was the perfect addition to make the margarita refreshing. For my entree I ordered the birria tacos, two beef and one chicken. The tacos are were okay. They had enough cheese but the consome and tacos lacked flavor. However the black beans and rice had a great flavor. It is cute Mexican restaurant and I loved the inside vibe.

One of the best spots to get tex mex in all of jackson, in my opinion. So good, literally every time I come, with an expansive menu and great prices. Whether it's a cemita, their delicious tacos, a burrito, or enchiladas you cannot go wrong. They also have a fantastic spread of margaritas and beers to wash it all down with. Go here fam.

Food was ok but portions were very small $10 for a very small happy plate. They are 12 at la cazuela and it's a lot more food. Twice as much

They add the tip when they give you the bill. I don't think that is right. But the food was good.

The food in the cafe in the back looked like it had been sitting for hours and it was only 10 am. Highly deceptive pricing! They do not put prices on anything. Staff will speak only in Spanish to you. As a Latina, I find that this not only is unprofessional but not tailored to serve a community that is in need for reasonable pricing. I am heading to Hattiesburg area to pick up some of these staples bcuz there is no reason these prices should represent California prices.

Carniceria Valdez is literally a counter in the back of a Mexican grocery, but coming out of that kitchen is some mighty fine Mexican food. I went with a couple of tacos and a gordita. For the gordita, I went with chorizo as the protein and for the tacos I went with the asada and the barbacoa. The tacos were just under two dollars each ($1.99 to be exact) and the gordita was, I believe, $3.50. I probably enjoyed the gordita the most and the chorizo was definitely my favorite protein out of my three choices. The staff was friendly enough, though the ordering process was you walk up to the counter and order your meal and they call you up when it is ready. All in all, I would definitely recommend here and I will give it five stars.
