had lunch with friends in this traditional mexican restaurant other the common decor. most ordered from the lunch menu and were satisfied and i ordered the mexican pizza priced at 10.99 but not on the lunch menu. my food was good but could have been much better if a tiny bit more effort were put into preparation. most ingredients were on the edge of the tortilla causing it to be soft and topping heavy in the middle. there were not many servers working so average time was a bit longer than expected but not a problem for us as we never rush on our friday girls lunch!

Excellent food and beyond excellent service! We ordered the fajitas-DELICIOUS! While you're there, try the corona margarita! It will not disappoint :) Bartenders and the severs went above and beyond during our entire visit there. 10 out of 10! Will definitely be back.

Notice I got white cheese vs. Ranchero sauce on my chili relleno... next time, I'll ask for caso (sp?) maybe! The search continues

In my continuing search for the best chili Rellenos in the city I find myself here at Cinco de Mayo on Lake Harbor, in Ridgeland, MS, on a Sunday afternoon, solo, ordering à la cart. My first request is always a serving of pico de gallo to add to the simply soupy salsa, and I wonder why every Mexican restaurant owner doesn't realize that a little substance like pico de gallo in the salsa makes it so much more enjoyable. This example of Chile Relleno was sans meat, and was quite good, I think I like the taste & texture of the cooked chili pepper, much like a stuffed bell pepper...

My first visit was a couple of months ago. It was Taco Tuesday and I wanted to try a place I haven't visited before. I ordered the Burrito Carbon and it was deeeliscious!! Of course, I ordered a Margarita, after all, it was Taco Tuesday!! The Margarita was very stout, and delicious as well. A few weeks later, I ordered the burrito again and it was the as it was the first time. However, on January 3rd, I recommended to my friend that we meet for a late lunch/early dinner here. I bragged about how great the food was as well as the drinks. We both ordered the Chimichanga al Carbon; she ordered with chicken and I ordered with grilled steak. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, although, the and I were the only patrons there. When we were brought our food, it was picture perfect; unfortunately, neither of us were satisfied with the temperature if the food or the taste. I can not speak for my friend, but my chimichanga was not fried instead, it was wrapped and heated and stuffed with lots of cold, hardened cheese and a few strips of steak. The refried beans were cold as well as the rice and the cheese on the little stale tortilla cop. the salad was the best thing on the plate. Perhaps they were short staffed on this particular day but I'm not sure if I will visit again. The two stars are for the first two times I visited when the food was hot and delicious.

May be this is the best MexicaN restaurant in the whole Jackson area. Their food is really good and the attention is good too.

Three of us had Sunday lunch there yesterday. The place was pretty empty when we arrived at noon but full when we left an hour later. Chips and salsa were both good. I had Choriqueso and a Guacamole Salad--both mediocre. The Choriqueso had an unusual ingredient (mushrooms) too much onion and not enough jalapeño. The guacamole was out of a pail and served in a stale tortilla bowl. My companions each had Quesadilla Fajitas (one mixed and one chicken). They were very happy with their choices. They also shared a fried ice cream which impressed them considerably less than their entrees.

The best Mexican food in the area by far! We relocated from DFW and have been searching for 2 years.

I knew this would be authentic food when I saw they have a menu in English and one in Spanish. Mexican decor is on tap, along with Mexican music. All the customers except me was also Hispanic. There is also a slight language barrier but service was still good. The chips and salsa was good but different. The salsa is definitely homemade. I enjoyed it and hated I got so little of it. Ordered the shrimp chimichanga. Came with a salad, rice and beans. I liked the rice. It was flavorful without being salty. The salad was nothing more than iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Given the state of lettuce right now, I wasn't going to fool with the salad. I don't eat refried beans so I can't review them. But that shrimp chimichanga....I feel like it needs a review all by itself! The shrimp were chopped a little, which I found myself liking more than having whole ones in there, and seasoned and grilled to the heavens! Whew!!!! That had to be the best chimichanga I've ever had! This was so good and I can't stop thinking about it. I brought the leftovers home and plan to heat it up in the air fryer. I know it will still be good!

All we ordered was a happy plate and a pork plate. The chips and salsa were really good but other than that I can't recommend this place.

Juarez Tacos doesn't look like much from the outside, (it's in an old Chinese restaurant…read morestorefront) but once you step in, the food tells you everything you need to know. The smell of grilled meat and warm tortillas hits before you even sit down, and it sets the stage perfectly. I started with tacos, of course. The tortillas were the kind you can tell are made fresh: soft, warm, and sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. I went for al pastor and birria, and both came out packed with flavor. The pastor had that perfect balance of char and spice, while the birria was rich and comforting, dripping just enough to make you lean in over the plate. The real surprise was how much attention went into the small details. The salsas had actual heat, not just color, and they didn't drown out the flavor of the meat. The pineapple agua fresca I ordered on the side was bright and refreshing, a perfect balance to the heaviness of the tacos. Service felt easy and genuine. Nobody was rushing me, nobody was going through the motions, it just had that friendly, neighborhood vibe where you feel like they're glad you stopped in. By the time I finished, I realized Juarez isn't trying to be flashy or reinvent the wheel. They're just serving honest, flavorful food that feels like it belongs exactly where it is. It's the kind of place you think about the next day, when you're already planning what you'll order on your next visit.

I wanted to try something new, so the waitress recommended the beef tongue, cheek, and head tacos. They were okay, but a bit lacking in the flavor department for my taste. Unfortunately, no beer was served at this time due to a licensing issue, I was told. I hope they got that fixed . Maybe I'll stop by to grab a beer and some other tacos one day.
