Our hard drive crashed at work and we called Green Earth as well as other local and regional computer repair companies. The man who answered the phone at Green Earth was well spoken and empathetic. I appreciated that he understood the importance of point of sale system for a small retailer during the busy season. Green Earth contacted their tech and he was at our store within 90 minutes. (The other companies said it would at least 6 hours before they could send someone to look at our system.) Their rates were $25 less p/h than other companies, and they didn't charge a travel fee. After a thorough evaluation Ed from Green Earth had diagnosed the problem, assessed the damage, and came up with three options for us based on our time and budget constraints. Greg from Green Earth took care of the actual install, and stayed three hours after Green Earth's closing time and an hour before they open in order to accommodate our retail hours. Both Greg and Ed were professional, efficient, and all around extremely pleasant to work with, (especially considering a lot of the work was done in small spaces and often in the hubbub of a busy retail environment). It took a few more visits to get our new drive and our old software and peripherals working but Green Earth had someone contacting us either in person or by phone daily. It is reassuring that when I call the company I recognize the voice of the person who answers the phone. Ed usually arrives within a 1-2 hours to fix our problem, and he even follows up with a phone call or a visit in person on the work that he performed. It is a please to do business with Green Earth. All their employee are knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. They are very nice people who obviously enjoy the work that they do. I can't believe the quality of service this little hole in the wall gives. Nexus 6p screen repair. The screen was scraped. After some evaluation I was told all the options present: new case; replace glass; have them install it; let me install it. And all the risks up to and including losing the phone all all together. They showed me back up methods and let me verify. It wasn't just the knowledge they relayed, but the manner in which they did so: True hospitality. Sheparding me in a LOW LOW pressure manner - giving me all the options even the DIY if they were just going to be a voice of reason. From the outside it seemed like an artifact from the 90s. Was I about to walk into Mr. Robot's Repair and find myself overwhelmed with cans of Mountain Dew? No, a modest curtain kept the front looking clean and organized. While, a peek past showed diagnostics being run on several monitors. A small selection of protective options littered the wall along with some smaller helpful adapters and cabling. When I found out that my Geek Squad guys at Best Buy in Hadley were gone, I went into a complete panic. They had done a great job with all my computer problems and I felt lost and especially anxious because my Dell case was cracked and I could hardly open it it up. But...I got turned on to Green Earth Computers as an alternative and gosh was I pleased. I've been working with Green Earth Computers for more than a year, as my office has grown from one employee and one location, to more than ten employees in two locations thirty minutes apart. I tried to upgrade an old desktop but was in over my head! I brought it in with a hard drive, some cables, and RAM. Even though the shop closed in 30 minutes, they took time to give me a quote. It turned out to be an easy fix, and extremely inexpensive! When it got close to closing time, I said I could leave it with them. However, they insisted I stay, and got it running again. They went the extra mile to check the performance, and recommend which parts I might need to upgrade first. They explained the process to me in a way that was easy to understand, but not condescending. A++ would come here every time. read more

I have had Greenearth Computer repair my old Toshiba laptop. The last time Ed came he said I needed a new one that he had with him. I bought it but was charged $120 for the call plus the price of new computer. I am not super tech savvy so wanted to get some instruction on doing certain actions. I sent an email to the company and they informed me that that was not a free service and I would have to pay a service call fee again. I cracked my iPhone screen quite some time ago. It was fully functional until last week when the screen began to "bleed". I came to Yelp for Green Earth's phone number and, sometime after 9P, filled out an appt request on this page. I was almost immediately replied to by Kiernan who gave me a quote, suggested I call in the AM, and assured me it the repair was possible. I called and spoke with Derek the next morning. The technicians at Green Earth were careful, systematic and generous in their assessment and repair of the Macbook. My laptop had an issue that I could not solve - earphone connection broke off and left the connecting bit inside - so after trying everything I could think of (including dissecting forceps) I took it to Green Earth, where Dave extracted the stuck bit more quickly than I could have imagined possible. If you have a cracked phone screen, do not go here. They have the similar prices to apple and charge you a $60 non-refundable deposit. They couldn't even fix my phone screen and even did extra damage to it. Had me drive to the store twice too...still couldn't fix it. They basically charged me $60 for no productive work. They were "courteous" enough to give me $30 back. Still lost $30. Don't go here. read more

These people are the best! Twice they've worked with me on small laptop problems and both times didn't charge me. The second time was to try to connect a bluetooth speaker to an HP laptop, the tech spent almost an hour working on it, and he fixed it! And then didn't charge me! Highly recommended! After cleverly dipping my phone in coffee, I dashed over to Green Earth. I was so surprised that they could take my phone apart immediately, I'd been mentally planning to do without it for days. I brought in an old iPhone 5s in need of a new battery. They couldn't source the battery (too old) but I found one from Ufixit and they installed it for a very reasonable rate.
