I've been coming here for almost 20 years. I'm not Sure if it's the same owner or family the whole time. They all used to say hello and thank you. Sometimes we would receive free baklava or tortufo (ice cream). Over the last couple of years. Prior to COVID I started to see a decline in the service and the manners of the employees and never saw any owners there when was busy. Well I guess the success was great and they didn't care about how their customers are treated anymore. How unfortunate. The service is shit now and the attitudes from the people who think they are all owners behind the counter isn't worth dealing with. The final blow was today when I had an unexpected price increase of $8 for a greek salad with chicken, almost $20 for a crispy chicken SALAD!!! No Lobster, chicken. The girl told me that they "just had a price increase and haven't changed the menu". Our family's favorite place to go for Greek eats. They make a great greek salad & the lamb gyro is perfection. A bit on the pricey side when you're feeding a whole family but the food is great. Plenty of outdoor dining if you feel like staying to eat, otherwise there's no indoor seating. read more

So I do come here often and the food is amazing. But service and setup needs to be addressed. When you place the order they have the stupid covid plastic barrier between you and the person who takes your order. This makes it difficult for them to understand what you are saying. Worried about airborne particles, then why have a fan blowing air from the waiting area over the counter towards the cooks and food. Get rid of the barrier like we did 2020. Check your order because 60% of the time it will have missing items, incorrect items or it will be someone else's food . read more

This is a picture of my Greek salad topped with BURNT pork souvlaki. My husband picked me up dinner tonight and when we got home and opened the bag we realize how burnt the meal was. I called the restaurant and the girl on the other end said she would credit me for the pork but not the salad. The salad was still edible just pick off the burnt pork. I've been on Long Island for the past month caring for an ill family member. She loves Greek Bytes so we've ordered a few times! First, the service is friendly and efficient and prompt. Delivery or pickup, a pleasure to deal with ! The food!! Love it!! The Greek lemon egg chicken soup is my sister's favorite, and I've become a fan! Nope - I've become addicted! I hope I can figure out a way to buy and freeze and transport home to Rochester , NY when I leave. In the past few weeks, I've had the gyro, souvlaki , spinach and cheese bites, as well as the Greek Salad and of course THE SOUP!! Today the order was delivered, all wrong; we were missing a soup, no utensils, no sauces. I ordered the Spinach Pie - it was dried out. The last time my order was incorrect and I returned to the place, the owners daughter was nasty and defensive, in spite of the fact that my order was missing items - no apology, no pleasantry. I loved this place and this is why I've spent a ton of money here. However, tonight my order was missing pita bread and instead of rectifying the situation after I spent $60 on my order, the owner decides to tell my husband that it WAS in the bag (which it wasn't) and then advises us not to eat so he can come back to my house and take a picture. PICTURE OF WHAT? MISSING PITA? When my mother called back to tell them we didn't want anyone coming to our house during a pandemic to take nonsense photos, the daughter or wife (not sure who it was) was nasty to her. The father comes flying down my driveway like a maniac acting like a moron. These people are animals. They just wanted to argue from the second we called with our complaint. So tn we decided to eat greekbites. My brother ordered french frys and while eatting it he found hair entangled in his fry . When i called greek bites to inform them of this the girl on the phone had and attitude the entire time arguing that it is pretty much nearly impossible she said well I dont know how that is possible when the fryer is 400 degress. Im not sure how hair got in his fry either but all they could offer was for me to bring the frys back and for them to give me a new batch . We don't frequent them alot, but yesterday's visit was not so great. The meat in my gyro platter seemed to be overcooked or presliced and heated up as some of it seems dry with no flavor at all. The fries are completely different. They are thinner and have some type of coating on them. And the tzatziki sauce too just seemed like plain yogurt. Counter help is always pleasant and fast. Have tried other dishes and appetizers, and are usually good. Grape leaves are pasty, without flavor. Not worth ordering. If ordered, not worth finishing. I wish their service was as good as their food. Every time I go, I tell myself I won't go back again. Not to mention when I call in an order they say 20-25 mins and I'm always waiting at least 10-15 minutes when I get there. My boyfriend and I are frequent Greek food eaters and figured we would give it a few tries. The first time I went the staff was very unwelcoming gossiping behind the counter and acting as if it is bothering them that I'm there giving them business. The second time I went there for take out I felt the same way but my boyfriend really liked the food so I went back again. This time I found a little black hair in my food. I didn't complain or call them I just threw out the rest of my salad because I was already at home half way done. Even after that we went back! The third time my boyfriend picked it up and without him even knowing how I felt he came home and said the food is good he wishes the staff was more welcoming. He said after they rang him up they just walked away and left the bag of food on the far side of the counter where he was unable to reach it. Finally the 4th time I picked up an order to go and when I walked in and waiting for my order, another girl walks in and knew one of the girls behind the counter so she was giving her free deserts which was fine. Then a different girl started helping me after this and when she rang me up she just walked away after. No "have a great night" or smile, she just walked away without even handing me my bag which was on the other side of the counter. So I figured it was mine, grabbed it and started looking inside. The family run place is excited about their food. They are willing to give you a sample if you are unsure of the taste but i assure you, you will be satisfied. Doesn't make a difference if you call the order in or not -- they do not start making the food for you until you arrive. The little brats behind the counter are fairly cavalier in their attitude to the customers and they do not put the same care into the preparation fo the food anymore. Better off if you find a different location for your Greek Meals -- did I mention that the food was cold ?
