Stayed 4 nights/5 days room was never cleaned. Premium room to sleep up to 8, $$$$$. Setting in common area in room sitting for only 5. Coffee maker with coffee for 4, had to ask for more coffee daily. Indoor water park- small child pool water was cold enough that after 20-30 mins my granddaughters lips and finger tips were blue. Water in room-shower would go from warm to cold during a 5 min shower. We took our own trash out on the second full day. Had to stop housekeeper in hall to ask for more towels Food/dinning was not good. I will say most all staff were nice, kind and helpful. We just returned from our 3 day stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. Like the average reviews ours was also a mixed bag. The good: 1) Most of the staff were at least pleasant with some being outright helpful and friendly. One, in particular, was Jo Ann W. in the gift shop. We purchased some bubble maker toys for some of our grandchildren. She assembled them and tested them before we even left the counter. She was fantastic, especially since one of the toys was defective right from the package so she got another one and assembled it and tested it before she would "let" us leave. :-) 2) The rooms are very large and well laid out. They did a recent renovation so the rooms were clean with no odd smells. The fridge worked well. The only complaint is that for such a large room I would have liked a little bigger table and at least 1 more chair, but this is a small complaint. 3) The ice cream shop (this was the only onsite dining experience we had). The prices look high until you see the serving size. The individual scoops are very big and we also had the banana split. It is very high priced until you see the size. I would definitely recommend sharing it at least between 2 people and maybe 3. It is HUGE!! 4) The Magi -Quest was the highlight for our entire family. They enjoyed dressing up and going on their quests. This was true for all of the kids from 5-38. :-) The not so good: 1) Parking is $19 per night per vehicle. While this is not out of the ordinary, Great Wolf Lodge does not offer this information up front at any time from reservation to check in, even including the multiple emails prior to arrival trying to upsell your stay. Very deceptive business practice. I had to do an internet search to even learn they charge for parking. 2) There is a large dislinkage between the customer service number for Great Wolf Lodge and the staff at the actual location. I had 5 different reservations and was getting in on a special rate that was expiring in a few minutes. I just did the reservations quickly to take advantage of the rates but only put them under my name. Customer service said this wasn't an issue and my family could arrive before me and use the waterpark and other resort features even though everything was on my card. At the location we learned this is NOT the case and one front desk person really made life difficult for 2 of my adult children and their families. 3) We were there on a non-holiday weekend and it was PACKED. The outdoor pool was open and we had no problem finding chairs (not shaded) but the indoor park was almost standing room only. 4) We had one of the rooms with AC problems that took a couple of calls to maintenance to get them to come look at it. It wasn't until my son threatened to request compensation for the room not cooling below 84 that they finally came to fix it. Once fixed we had no further problems all weekend. 5) This is an extremely small gripe, but the vast majority of vehicles there are family vehicles, ie, SUV, truck, etc. Yet, the gates to come in and out of parking have the scanner for your wrist band (which should be on your wrist, so not very convenient to scan) is so low I literally had to get out of my truck to use it. You'd think that a family resort would know its customer base and make things as convenient as possible. read more

They have attentive guest services. We arrived in the middle of a dance party and couldn't hear. Many of us on the spectrum so that was rough. The lady was really nice to us when we were obviously overwhelmed. They are very responsive on the app chat. I was hesitant after reading so many 1 star reviews, but it has been a good trip. The kids have loved it. The magi quest is exhausting though. 5 hours in and we still aren't finished. I'm physically fit but all the up and downs on 4 flights of stairs - phew! My feet hurt!!! If you are not physically fit or require use of an elevator, it might not be for you. The pool was warm. Food was surprisingly not terrible. Smelled a little musty but not moldy. The carpet in our room was a little warped and bubbled but otherwise in good condition. Pillows were good. They were constantly cleaning. So many cleaning staff always cleaning. Okay, we expect better accommodation for the price we paid ($2500 for a suite for 3 nights). Restaurants were closed (one was renovated--during the peak summer season), and one is only open for breakfast and dinner. So we had very limited food choices (pretzel bites, pizza, and burgers); you had to pick and take it elsewhere to eat. Our room did not get clean for two days. My two daughter in laws and I took 4 children for a quick trip, staying at the Great Wolf Lodge, Grapevine. Both adults and children were excited, our first trip to GW Lodge. To say disappointed would be a lift up from our true experience. We booked a loft since there would be 7 of us. Our room was not cleaned, the furniture had something sticky spilt and not cleaned up, the faucet for the full bathtub/shower did not work. We requested maintenance who came. He twisted the handle turning it on which we had all 3 adults attempted. I personally tried twice in front of him. On the 3rd time using both hands was able to turn on but could never get to completely shut off again. The tub shower was not clean when we checked in. I saw a maid in the hallway and made her aware. No one ever responded or came to check the complaint. We purchased additional passes to get the complete experience (which were costly) only to find at every turn the passes paid for the minimum experience and for each you had to pay additional to really have the children get to pull enjoy themselves. It was nickel & dime or more like $5 or more per child every time you turned around. We came fully aware there would be additional fees but nothing like what we experienced. The facility was very dated and some "adventures" closed so you missed out. Overall, this was definitely a one and done adventure for our family visiting Great Wolf Lodge. Very disappointed in the experience, the cleanliness of facilities, cleanliness of our accommodations along with the shower not working, then additional fees for everything. I've heard so many people go to GWL (in other states as well), so I was pretty excited to experience the hype. TLDR: kiddos will have a blast, parents will have a blast in their wallets. +This is a kid's dream. The kiddie pool areas are fun, age appropriate, and I sincerely appreciate how serious the lifeguards are in watching everyone since there are a ton of kiddos +Love that everyone receives a bracelet that is the key to your room. It's always a hassle to find your key card hidden in the 5 compartments and secret compartments of your purse, wallet, and pants. The people letting you onto the property when you're driving up also just let you drive in when they see the bracelet, which is just a nice experience +We booked multiple rooms, and I think the Kid Kamp rooms are super cute. Bunk beds in an enclosed space with cute animals on the walls. I don't know the cost of that room compared to a regular room +The quests seem like a fun experience for the kids (I imagine 5+ would really appreciate them). Wave your wand at multiple areas.... They are eveeryyyywhere. Can't miss it +The shampoo/conditioner and body wash are big bottles, which I appreciate vs other hotels giving small tiny bottles that only last like one night.... Which also just wastes more plastic +Rooms are slightly old but they're clean +Rooms are pretty big +Kid shows sprinkled throughout the day in the lobby -This place is not cheap -I called and asked for toothpaste, and they told me they sold it at the gift shop. For the price of this, I honestly did not expect them to tell me that I had to buy toothpaste. Pretty ridiculous -We booked a room with two queen beds, so there is a nightstand in between both beds. Well.... We know that the beds *could* latch onto each other because the bed frame has these metal hooks that could latch, if they decided to. Since they aren't together though, one of the hooks is literally sticking out of the bed frame and both my husband and I got injured because we accidentally walked by without remembering it was there. SO DANGEROUS are you kidding me. We have a toddler, and if she fell or climbed down that part of the bed (so the space between the two beds) she would totally get injured. Don't know why they would have it sticking out like that -Cost of the food inside the water park will cost you an arm and a leg, and the food is extremely mediocre (I get it... we're paying for the convenience. But sheesh). They also didn't give us all of the food/drinks that we ordered either, so be sure to look inside your bags before you leave -Starbucks has a limited menu.... Sad they didn't have my usual matcha drink. Can't order by app, but at least they allow you to pay with the app. I appreciated the soothing music inside Starbucks because the second you walk out, loud dance-y music is BLARING (I don't need that in my life at 7am) -Arcade will also cost you your other arm and leg. And the bubble wand will cost you a kidney ($35... there's no price on the tag -_____- that's how they get you!!!!) -Elevators are slow and the lines are ridiculous obv when it's check in time -Parking fee per night Some tips: -Have someone wait at the water park entrance before 9am and reserve your chairs/tables by putting towels/other items -The water park wristbands can be tied around your kids ankles as well. Since the wristband is long, my little one didn't like the extra length sticking out. I ended up cutting the extra part with my nail clipper, but I imagine wrapping it around their ankle is more pleasant for them -There's extra parking around the back. Drop the kids off at the front and you can park there if there isn't parking available -There's another set of elevators all the way down on the left side. It's usually faster than the main ones, but also note that it's also the one that the workers use so sometimes... it's not that fast either Overall, this is okay for the price that you're paying. Horrible, it was 45 degrees in Dallas outside and they have the air conditioners on the bathrooms/ dressing rooms of the pool. None of the ice machines work. No refills on $8 drinks. You have to scan a bar code on the cup and then you have only 20 seconds to get ice and fill your cup let the fizz settle then time runs out before filling completely especially if your a kid. I thought this place was for kids?? You can't order food in person. You have to use a kiosk. There are 5 kiosks but only one is open so you have to wait in an unnecessary line. Have plenty of people working just not where they are needed and not many speak English. The buffet was closed do to not enough people at the park. Which is understandable, but the only restaurant since the buffet was closed was understaffed so the manager told me and had a ridiculous wait time. Once my $44 steak showed up that was ordered medium came out charred with no pink inside. And tasted horrible! That added a 20 percent gratuity to the ticket because there were six of us. So because I have a family of six we had to pay extra $$ to get a room as well that had a loft because all the other rooms were booked that would sleep six. But remember the buffet was closed do to not enough people on the books?? The showers were pretty warm not hot but that would only last for about two minutes at a time and it would get cold and slowly heat back up for only 2 minutes. The black mold growing on the floor in the bathroom is a nice touch as well. The bathroom floor in luxury vinyl plank. Which means it is not secured to the ground. It just lays on top. Meaning if there is mold on top of the floor there is definitely mold growing underneath the floor that is not glued or mortar to the ground. Oh did I mention you have to pay to park. Not valet but to park in a parking lot that is only for this facility. $15 to park my own car about 1/4 mile from the door per night??? This is just my first night here Afraid of what is to come. We went here for the kid's birthday, going to the water park and spending the night. In terms of pure fun for kids, it's 5 stars. There is so much to keep them busy and burning energy. The water park is, of course, enormous. Plan on being there for hours. Beyond that, there are arcade games which are always fun. Not cheap, but fun. You can also buy a magic wand the kids can go throughout the hotel to find things to wave the wand at and they light up or talk or do something. That activity is fun as there are many, many points to activate. Overall, this place is totally family friendly and a great way to spend quality time. On the negative side and the reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: -it's really, really busy. We went in March and everything was packed. People everywhere, which I suppose is the point. There is unrelenting noise from the water, the arcades, and all the people. Seven hours in, it was exhausting. I suppose it might be unfair to criticize them for being what they are, but still, there is no respite from the noise. -the rooms are quite modest. I understand that this is not a luxury hotel and with kids you don't want a lot of expensive stuff in the room, but even so our room was pretty basic. -the queen bed was comfortable, but the bunk bed mattress was very hard and was not comfortable. Even kids have backs. -the entire experience is pricey. Between the room, dinner, arcades, and the wands we easily dropped $800+ for one night. That's fine, it was the kid's birthday, but be aware that this is not an inexpensive getaway. And we did not even do any of the paw add ons that would have increased the price tag even more. We got by just fine without the add ons, but other families might feel differently. -resort fee of $39.99 per night. For what? I recently stayed for 3 nights at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas. The attached photo is the disclaimer I received in May when I received my reservation. I ended up arriving a day early and stayed in the regular room for 8/17. When we checked in Caitlyn helped me at the front desk. I asked about the potential gap between check out and check in for my next reservation starting on the 18th in a loft suite. She told me they had no way to store my luggage and I could not take it to my cabana. She informed me I would have to take it to my car. I flew in so there was no car. She told me the only solution was to check out late and pay the $60 or sit in the lobby with my luggage until the room was ready. So either I am paying for a cabana that now I cannot use because I have to sit in the lobby with my luggage or pay $60 extra to keep it in my room. Felt like extortion. The next morning, I check in early for my new room, store my luggage, and check the app for the time to go to my cabana and pool opens at 10am. I check in at the kiosk and get my new wristbands. I loaded up and headed for the pool at 10. The outdoor pool was closed due to staffing. No message via text that it has been delayed. They tell us when quiet hours are so the technology is there...but nope, I am a mom of 3 with all my gear now standing there for an hour waiting for the pool to open. Maybe I would have gone to breakfast with my kids.....anything but stand there but there was no communication. Finally at 11, we headed to our cabana. We asked when the outdoor water slides would open. We were told by the supervisor that it was a staffing issue. But the slides would open at 4pm. We really wanted to do the ropes course but it seemed crowded and it was a Sunday so we opted to wait until Monday to do that. I asked the supervisor if that would be open Monday and he said yes. When the cabana closed we all packed up, got the luggage and headed up to our new room 8044. You can't make this up. The keys don't work. I text willow and she says there is no one to help us, I have to go to the 2nd floor and have new keys made. I leave my kids and all our stuff at the door and go get new keys made. More wasted time. Next morning I wake up to a text from Jade at the front desk saying the outdoor pool will not open until 5pm and would I like to switch to an indoor cabana. Not really but there are no other options. So we settled in and today was going to be there ropes course day. Since the outdoor pool would open at 5pm that was a perfect fit. We headed over to the ropes course at 11am and it was closed. Due to staffing. If I had been informed of that, I would have waited in the long line for my kids to get that experience the day before. The ropes course experience was way more to me than a $15 arcade credit. I was so frustrated and as you can imagine and by the way, the outdoor pool never opened on Monday.. We packed up early and left the cabana and the pool on our last day. I was so frustrated and angry that I was spending thousands of dollars and the experience was not even close to what was promised. The statement that the "waterpark and other attractions would be open" was completely false. I purchased my vacation knowing the lobby would be closed but that everything else would be open. On top of that the food was average, there was very little relevant communication to mitigate closures and we never got to do the outdoor slides (they were never open) or ropes course (not told they would be closed on Monday). This experience was a challenge not a vacation. It is unconscionable to take someones money and not delver even close to what was promised. Your staffing problem is real and you are selling a product you cannot deliver and that is fraud. And not only not deliver what is promised but make the entire experience a challenge with children at every turn. I would actually not have done this experience in hindsight for free and you would not have either. Utterly disappointing and I will never return to Great Wolf Lodge. I am a single mom of 3 and cannot afford to waste time and money I could have spent on a fun vacation putting my family through this again. Time is too precious and you stole our one vacation this year. Never again. read more

First time here and won't be back. For the money that was spent, it is not worth it. Amy at check-in was great, very helpful. Most of the staff is young, although most are very polite, some of them have no idea what they are doing. Very frustrating when you're trying to get info and they just stare at you like they are lost too. Food choices are limited, so that was disappointing. Again with the price you pay, you would expect a lot more. The wrists bands never worked while we were here. Had to be given a new one and still nothing. Lines are very long for everything and there's no sense of urgency. The smell of marijuana throughout the building was ridiculous. Although I know staff can't stop anyone from smoking, I know they could smell it on people but did nothing about it. This is not an environment I wanted my grandchildren in and very disappointing. Not sure if there was an AC issue, but it was hot everywhere we went inside the building. And the elevators never worked, ended up taking the stairs most of the visit. And clearly there is no dress code. Apparently you can get a day pass, dress and act like an idiot and nothing will be done about it. Things we like: it's a beautiful themed resort with nice options when choosing rooms (we stayed in the "kids cabin") and a really fun water park. What has potential and can be improved in my opinion is the entertainment, everything is pretty much self guided and cost something. They even charge for glow stick on a glow stick party. Food is ok, the burger at the pool restaurant is good, pizza by the arcade is not my favorite kind. Starbucks here sucks! Don't expect much. Overall a good experience, the place is cool but could be better I believe entertainment is the heart and soul of a resort and that why I'm not giving a 5 star. Cool experience overall. read more

Edit: we just got our itemized bill and they charged us for the pool towels that we absolutely turned in. Check your bills! All of the paid for activities are a lot of fun for the kiddos. They couldn't however, seem to be able to tell us a time for the movie they play in the lobby supposedly each night. We were told 8, sat there and waited while they had a dance party instead, were then told sometime after 9, then told that was it for the night that they wouldn't be showing it. The ice cream employee told us they were super short staffed. For upgrading to a suite we weren't as impressed as we thought we would be. The room was pretty dark and humid, no full length mirror, no hair dryer, toilet had a janky handle and ran throughout the day. There was also a bright LED strobe on the smoke detector that blinks 24/7 so good luck sleeping well. The outdoor ropes course has little to no shade even for the parents. The quick service food was pretty good though. Overall fun but we feel like we could spend our money better somewhere closer to home. read more

We had such a great time at this Great Wolf Lodge! My kids are 10yr, 7yr, and 3years old and I feel like they were all the perfect age for this resort. Each one of them had such a fantastic time. We didn't do the online check in so we did have to wait about 15 min in line to get checked in. They had all the details correct from what I reserved online. We got our wristbands and went up to our room without any trouble. The room was big enough for the 5 of us, except for the table, there were only 2 chairs. The resort was built in 2008 and you can tell, there hasn't been much updates to the rooms. Which really wasn't a big deal at all, we were just fine in the room we got. The outdoor pool and slides were so much fun! My son said he was only going on the slide once but as soon as we hit the water, he shouted "lets go again!". The indoor part was just as fun, he especially liked the wave pool. My 3-year-old was the perfect age for the kiddy section. She was able to stand the very short line and go down those slides by herself. My 7-year-old also loved the big slides that were inside. The whole resort was clean and well kept. All three of them really liked Oliver's mining! That was cool, they give you a bag of dirt/soil with gems and stones in them. They enjoyed cleaning it and picking out the stones. The three of them also got the Wands and we did the quests! Sooooooo much fun running around the resort looking for clues! We will most definitely be back! READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING!! This trip was our second stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, and it was a complete disappointment. We will not be coming back. The hotel is undergoing major construction, which is not disclosed in detail before booking. We called ahead specifically to confirm that the outdoor area (water park, slides, and Rope Climbing Course) would be open during our stay. The outdoor area was the main reason we chose to return, as we had already experienced the indoor portion during our last visit. The staff assured us it would be open, but that turned out to be a blatant lie. We stayed from Monday to Thursday, and the outdoor area was closed every single day. Each day, the staff gave us the runaround, promising it would open later or the next day. Eventually, they shifted to the excuse of low staffing, which they must have known about when we called weeks before. We would have booked elsewhere if they had been honest from the start. The entire hotel desperately needs updates, and the construction is ongoing everywhere. It's great to see that updates are being made, but these disruptions should have been clearly mentioned on the website and reflected in the pricing. They weren't. The noise was unbearable--we couldn't even have a normal conversation during breakfast due to the constant drilling. It felt like we were eating on a construction site. There is also no impressive lobby or panoramic view of the waterpark - that area is completely covered and under major reconstruction (see pictures). The check in is now in the back of the resort in a depressing-looking conference room. We were really looking forward to this trip, but it turned into a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Save yourself the hassle and look for other options. This location needs to reconsider how they treat their guests seriously. We mentioned our disappointment at the front desk, and the staff offered us a 25% discount on the room prices, which was a nice gesture. However, after thinking about all of the disappointments (there were some room issues that I don't even care to type up) and the fact that literally 50% of the attractions were inaccessible (see the picture of the map - the highlighted section was closed the entire time), a higher discount should have been offered. 5 stars from the kids, a mediocre 2 tops from the adults. We booked a Saturday night stay in May and arrived at 1:02pm. Everyone knows that you can check in and get access to the water park at 2, so there was a long line. We made it through in about 30 minutes, which was much faster than I had expected. Our room was actually ready early - we got a basic king room with a pull out sofa, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were super lumpy. We could already see the water park was really crowded as we waited to check in, by the time we dropped our stuff it was even more crowded. We found some chairs and dropped our stuff and headed into the sea of people. Our kids were in the yellow range - so they had to slide with an adult for the big slides they could go on, I think there were two they couldn't go on at all. As busy as it was, the wait wasn't terrible for the slides. They loved the wave pool, the pool with the stepping stones, and the pool with the slides and the big dumping bucket. Lazy Rivers are always my favorite, but this one was kind of the worst. For 2/3, the current wasn't really enough to keep the floats going at any reasonable pace, the last 1/3 was about what you would expect. I could have also done without the water dumping in several spots from above, one being completely unavoidable. We stayed for a few hours and then went upstairs to get ready for our reservation at the Grounds by Top Golf. Definitely not worth it. One bay was not open and the sensors were tough to figure out. The games were ok, there is a lot of variety, but it's hard to tell what each game is without going into each. At $70 for the hour, not how you want to be spending your time. The menu is not extensive, we ended up having to hit the pizza place and got a pizza to take to our room after we were finished. IF I had to do this again, we would have gone to actual Top Golf and eaten at one of the many nearby restaurants. We had breakfast the next morning at the on site Starbucks, which is always a reliable option. We headed down to the water park area to be there when it opened at 9 - to our surprise, they were letting people in at 8:50. Those first 40 minutes we were the highlight of our stay. We were there before the outdoor portion was open, not sure if both are open if it's a more enjoyable experience. read more

A majority of the water park features were inoperable, the hotel rooms were dingy and overdue of repair and the food was atrocious and inedible. We had low expectations but this was much worse. Maybe with a teenagers at the reception check-in desk, or the fact that Starbucks says it opens at 7 AM and does not, or maybe the shower leaking dripping keeping you from getting a good nights rest, or maybe the fact that it's took me eight phone calls to get the reception desk on the phone and oh actually it's reservations again. Tis the season to run out of ingredients and 86ed menu items, and maybe they ran out of an ingredient or two, but my friendly bartender Miss Maria pool bar area, offered a suitable suggestion which only could have come from an expert in mixology! I was disappointed that there was not coconut and pineapple, but we laughed about reinventing the wheel and she made a amazing cocktails for us while our grandkids were lost on slides in the steamy sauna like environment. We are still howling right now on the airplane on our way back to reality. Kids will have permanent memories of Christmas 2024. What a great time we had! This was our first stay at GWL and what a wonderful time we had celebrating my daughter's 9th bday with some friends! We booked a "Regular" 2 Queen Beds We stayed 1 night (arrived at 1 pm/stayed till 5 next day) Did 2 "Wolf Passes" so the girls do all the experiences Did 4 Breakfast Buffets Pros- Friendly/Attentive/Kind Staff Water park was a blast Quests are so fun! Ropes Course was great! Mining Experience was very engaging Breakfast Buffet was DELISH! Room was clean & had a small fridge & microwave Cons- Room Shower did not work great/Handle got stuck Arcade Credits to "Play" WAY too high Did not get great directions on how to "Start" 1st Quest Definitely need to plan accordingly & set aside $$$ I would definitely recommend this as a Unique/Fun experience for family & friends on special occasion. read more

You need to staff the front-desk better for check-in and out. The wait lines were up to an hour, which started the trip on a sour note. Kids had to be entertained, as we couldn't go and use the water park yet, having not checked in. The main lobby hasn't been dusted in ages. There's a thick layer of dust on the lobby tree. Magiquest is halfway in the middle of a renovation, and apparently it has been that way for months. If you're remodeling one of your attractions, do it faster; the experience with lots of "coming soon" signs is unattractive. We ate off-site, which was a good choice because there's plenty of nice local restaurants just a short drive down the road. You might have more food sales if you priced it better... read more

We booked in November for a small family reunion - two adults, two kids and two seniors in March for spring break. We understood there would be construction and tried to prepare with extra grace and patience. Pros : clean facility, very short lines right at opening, nice rooms Cons : food in the water zone. Oye vey We optimistically made a mobile order never imagining we would wait one hour and thirty minutes for food. A lady actually had to wait 25 minutes for one can of beer and another little girl salivated looking at the dippin dots freezer waiting 35 Minutes for the employee to simply open up the cooler and scoop out her overly priced dessert. We called their food system hangry Keno (Trademark pending) I got to know the life story of all the other fed up parents standing in our swimsuits and telling our hungry kids to wait, and wait and wait. I then would turn into warning karen -- advising newcomers that I had been standing and waiting for an hour plus. I got to know a Michigan mom and her kids and memorized all my acquaintance orders and order numbers. It got so bad that when and order was actually ready we all yelled in happiness for making it so long. My husband likened the experience to a life raft. We ate for $47 and one hour and a half of standing and waiting..... I told the kids I lived outside the food stand now. The fire alarms during construction have been aggravating. First time at an indoor waterpark! The drinks were strong and the game room was awesome. We did room service and the food tasted alright and the portions were huge. (Definitely worth it if you've had too much to drink and don't want to leave your room) It was a get away from our kids, but we will bring them next time cause it was so much fun. What a fun place we've been here three times now! We come from Oklahoma but the drive is worth it. However do be aware that the kid cabin mattresses are ROCK solid hard, very uncomfortable. With that said we unfortunately booked a kid cabin room with only one queen bed which only sleeps one or two people and it was a group of 5 of us. We slept horribly through the first night. We decided to ask the front desk if they could change our room and this wonderful woman named Melissa, from Brazil helped us out! She was very very kind if it weren't for her great help we would have left with back aches and a bad mood! So thank you Melissa for your positive attitude! We went here as a family for Spring Break. First, I'll start off by saying don't pay full price to stay here. There are so many deals available online and if those didn't exist, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms are getting a little worn, and the rooms on the same level as the pool are extremely humid. I actually ran back home to get a fan because the thermostat in the room couldn't get the temp below 76. Many of the restaurants were closed, but what we did have was not worth the money. We brought quite a few groceries with us to cut down on cost. All in all, it's the water park that makes it worth it for a family with kids. I would go back, but not very frequently. read more

We have been bringing our son here since he was 3. He is now 12, and he still loves it just as much. They have made some recent changes to meet other competitors like Kalahari, which are appreciated. The rooms are cozy with all the necessary amenities. There are several food and beverage options, including adult ones, finally. The pools are always clean and guarded. I would definitely recommend bringing your family here for a fun and relaxing getaway. We will continue to make GWL our annual family December trip for as long as our son wants. read more

I love this so much I want to cry but I'm worried that I will get a little sick. The slides are super fun, here's a tip, there's a microwave and we made brisket sandwiches in the room, we brought chips and different types of sauces, we brought them to the water park. They were lovely between sliding down the slides ! read more

My Sister and I take her kids everytime they visit. There's literally something for everyone from the scavenger hunt to the lazy river. With a little show/club at night for the kids! And the Starbucks inside is an AMAZING touch. I would say though, the indoor pool is ALWAYS hot and sticky, as expected, and the drinks used to be better and not so watered down and less flavorful. Speaking of pool, the outdoor pool is always fun with the DJs and good music. I remember doing The Wobble with a bunch of moms at the edge of the pool. It was such a vibe. Be prepared to spend a LOT though because your kid is going to want to do everything. The arcade isn't too expensive but the wands for the scavenger hunt and all the little accessories are at a very high price. read more

Don't go here. I mean unless you can get the entire stay with everything included for 200 a night. We paid 1400 for one weekend. That just included a room and food. Everything costs extra! I mean literally everything. You buy a 20 oz drink and they literally limit you to 12 oz. I'm not kidding it's a machine you scan your cup and it shuts off. Also almost every bathroom was missing walls or whole urinals. The food was literally terrible. Parking wasn't available so we had to valet. We spent the first hour of the water park looking for seating at a place we spent 1k+ to be at.. and my goodness the rooms... they are atrocious. The beds an all caved in old spring mattresses with literally stains on 99 percent of the linens. Even the outlets didn't work.. please save your money. Or go stay a mile over at the Gaylord where you actually get something decent for your money. read more
